(Reuters) - U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned "preposterous" comments by a U.N.-appointed expert on Palestinian rights that there was a cover-up over the September 11 attacks, Ban's chief of staff said on Monday.

The official, Vijay Nambiar, said however that it was not up to Ban to fire the expert, U.S. academic Richard Falk, as demanded by UN Watch, a Geneva-based advocacy group.

Falk wrote in a blog this month that there had been an "apparent cover-up" by U.S. authorities over the September 11, 2001 attacks, in which hijackers flew airliners into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon near Washington.

Those of us attempting to present the evidence of the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center skyscrapers to the “uninitiated” can meet with significant psychological resistance. Some respond to the scientific forensic evidence quite readily. But some do not.

WTC 3 severely damaged from the South Tower debris. No complete collapse. The North Tower is yet to come down on top of it.

Another way to open the minds of skeptics – without getting technical at all – is to compare the other WTC buildings that did not actually collapse to the three that collapsed completely. Show the following photos to your stubborn interlocutor. Ask him or her to notice how severely damaged these other buildings were by the debris from the Twin Towers, yet substantial portions remained upright. And ask “Why?”.

AE911Truth members have written to and met with Congressional staffers, urging them and their bosses to push for a new, independent investigation of the events of 9/11, thus far to no avail. Once the contact has been made, the initiative rests with the members of Congress and/or their staffers, and we lose the initiative. Some 9/11 activists have urged that we keep the initiative by filing lawsuits alleging that some members or agents of the government have engaged in a conspiracy to perpetrate and then cover up the greatest “false flag” event in U.S. history. As a retired attorney I will explore this question, analyzing previous lawsuits with an eye toward evaluating the probability of success of a future lawsuit.

Each month our AE911Truth Action Groups around the US confer by telephone and decide which nationally coordinated action to take on or about the 11th of each month. In January we initially decided to orchestrate visits with elected representatives – local, state, and federal – in their local offices across the country.
