To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I have a professional career that has spanned many industries. I was an intern at American Airlines at the time of 9/11. I was a flight operations avionics engineer working at the maintenance operations center which oversaw all the planes that were in service. I worked as a field engineer in the west Texas oil fields after college. I transitioned into working on power distribution for the local utility in Chicago. Then I got into the nuclear power industry as a controls engineer. My next stop was working at an architecture/engineering firm in the building automation space. I have been inside the guts of many facilities and worked alongside plenty of architects and other engineers. I have since moved on to the operations side where I work for a RE services company that performs facility management. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, with a minor in Philosophy. I have an MS in Engineering Management from Northwestern University. I am a licensed PE in Illinois.
My interest in this is not to find out about some conspiracy regarding some powerful entity that wronged so many people, but I am more concerned about the industry not learning anything from such a tragedy. We had three catastrophic engineering failures occur in less then 12hrs and I imagine that little has changed in the building code or the principles with which we design these structures. If a trauma and fire took down both towers so quickly, what failed? It sounds like we do not have a good answer that we can improve future buildings with.

While a Firefighter and a Paramedic I saw numerous buildings collapse. none were steel frame. I was at the Philadelphia Meridian Fire in 1991. 3 of my fellow Firefighters died in that building. 2 of whom I personally knew. While I did not know the third Firefighter, he was my brother. Saddened to the core by the loss of 3 Firefighters? I cannot imagine losing 343 as did my FDNY brothers did on 9/11. As a former Firefighter I can assure you that no one, not one, of the Firefighters present at the Meridian Building fire thought that building was going to collapse. Falling debris from the engulfed floors was a worry, but not the building coming down. I can also assure you that those FDNY Firefighters didn't ever in their wildest imaginations imagine those towers coming down. Brave men and women, but not kamikazes or suicidal. They knew the buildings were not coming down due to fire. Initial command post was in the lobby of the first tower struck. Obviously they saw the damage in the lobby, but the reason for that could be ascertained later. The job at hand was to rescue people and put out the fire. Some of the brightest and most educated Firefighters set up that command post. They are promoted after written testing and verbal scenario knowledge to Fire Chief. In fact there was one Chief on the 78th floor who radioed that he needed 2 hoselines to put out the fire. That tells me that rescue was no longer needed at his level of the building and it also tells me that the fires were not all that great. That Chief and 342 other Firefighters did not know that they were set up to die. I will admit that when I witnessed the towers collapse on 9/11 (on TV), I was in a funk as to why they collapsed. Believe it or not, I attributed the collapses to how perfectly the Architects planned and constructed those towers. As if the perfect collapse was also their design

I, like many others, didn't really concern myself too much with 9/11 until I discovered the truth about a year ago. I stumbled upon an A&E 9/11 Truth video about thermite that changed my world. After jumping into the research ocean with both feet, I firmly believe that the official explanation of what happened on 9/11 could not possibly be accurate. I believe, from looking at a lot of evidence (special thanks to your website), that all 3 WTC collapses were caused by controlled demolition. I believe the airplanes flown into WTC 1 & 2 were meant to be seen as a powerful enough catalyst to bring on the total collapse of the towers. Although flying an airplane into the side of a building can do some harm, I don't feel the heat or damage would be enough to bring the towers down the way they fell. As far as Building 7 goes, a straight-down, symmetrical collapse at free-fall speed into it's own footprint for no real apparent reason can, in my opinion, only mean one thing; they had the cream-of-the-crop demolition experts at their disposal.

Although there are many reasons to fault the official conspiracy theory, what I find overwhelmingly convincing is the the impossibility of the buildings' falling as the result of local fire damage. The free fall speed, which clearly violates Conservation of Momentum and the explosive ejection of huge masses are the two deal breakers for me.

It just seems asinine to me that people can have pivotal information right in front of them that they refuse to acknowledge. There were 47 core support columns of extremely robust design. What happened to them? It is inconceivable to me that they just fell apart due to fire from a plane collision that occurring 70+ stories above their base. There is way too much evidence of explosives in the buildings on 911. Visual, audio and first person testimony all say that their were multiple explosions yet the theory of explosives being involved in the collapse has never been officially delved into. Ironically, I was employed there on 9/11.
Part of the cover up lies in the design of buildings 1 and 2. The obvious demolition style collapse of building 7 is much harder to ascertain in buildings 1 and 2 because of their exterior structure. If the basement columns were intentionally sheared then the fall would have been masked by the vertical exterior lines of the structure moving vertically. This is an optical illusion impossible with buildings having standard windows or noticeable articulation. I've watched video of the collapse many times and it is impossible to tell if the floors pancaked, collapsed all the way down or if it had a demolition style collapse.

The official U.S. Government explanation for the collapse of the towers and bldg.#7 say that once the structure had been weakened by the plane crashes and fires, and the connections had failed, the buildings became the victims of the physics of gravity. By the laws of statics, gravity provides a vertical force vector pointing straight down toward the center of the earth. Whence came the horizontal force vectors which explain the ejection of steel beams and whole sections of the structural exoskeleton, weighing many tons, 300, 400, even 500 feet away from the skyscrapers???
