PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I began having doubts about the official explanations for the collapse of the WTC towers soon after the explanations surfaced. The gnawing question that lingers in my mind is: how did the structures collapse in near-symmetrical fashion when the apparent precipitating causes were asymmetrical loading? The collapses defy common logic from an elementary structural engineering perspective. If you accept the argument that the fire protection covering was damaged to such an extent that structural members in the vicinity of the aircraft impacts were exposed to abnormally high temperatures, and if you accept the argument that the temperatures were high enough to weaken the structural framing, that still does not explain the relatively concentric nature of the failures.Neither of the official precipitating sources for the collapses, namely the burning aircraft, were centered within the floor plan of either tower; both aircraft were off-center when they finally came to rest within the respective buildings. This means that, given the foregoing assumptions, heating and weakening of the structural framing would have been constrained to the immediate vicinity of the burning aircraft. Heat transmission (diffusion) through the steel members would have been irregular owing to differing sizes of the individual members; the temperature in the members would have dropped off precipitously the further away the steel was from the flames'''just as the handle on a frying pan doesn''t get hot at the same rate as the pan on the burner of the stove. These factors would have resulted in the structural framing furthest from the flames remaining intact and possessing its full structural integrity, i.e., strength and stiffness.Structural steel is highly ductile; when subjected to compression and bending it buckles and bends long before reaching its tensile or shear capacity. Under the given assumptions, if the structure in the vicinity of either burning aircraft started to weaken, the superstructure above would begin to lean in the direction of the burning side. The opposite, intact, side of the building would resist toppling until the ultimate capacity of the structure was reached, at which point, a weak-link failure would undoubtedly occur. Nevertheless, the ultimate failure mode would have been a toppling of the upper floors to one side, much like the topping of a tall redwood tree, not a concentric, vertical collapse.For this reason alone, I rejected the official explanation for the collapse of the WTC towers out of hand. Subsequent evidence supporting controlled, explosive demolition of the two buildings is more in keeping with the observed collapse modalities and only serves to validate my initial misgivings as to the causes for the structural failures.

Over the next few days I continued to watch video replays of Twin Towers 1 & 2 and could not comprehend how both towers could collapse as they did. As a Structural Engineer, it made no sense to me how the structural framing system below the impact level did not continue to support the structure. It was only in the last few weeks, as I researched and found this site, that I found out that building 7 had also collapsed. I agree that it has the classic signs of a controlled demolition. Thanks to all of you who created this site. I am proud to be part of the cause to get congress to conduct a full investigation.

"What we have been told about 9/11 is a lie. To set this up requires days, months, perhaps years to prepare for, to set the explosives and so forth. This was a controlled demolition. Airplanes couldn't have taken these buildings down. You expect me to believe that at 5:20 PM long after the two towers came down in the morning of that same day by controlled demolition that another building (7) came down by the same method? There is no way by the laws of physics that it occurred the way we have been told. The truth about this issue has been totally ignored and has barely even gotten out. We cannot proceed with the facts of any ""news"" until we go back and get the truth out about this matter. Thanks."

I have been around steel ships and shipyards my entire career. I have spent years welding and burning/cutting steel in the course of my duties. I am very much aware of the temperatures required to melt or cut steel.
My knowledge of metalworking has led me to believe that the reason given for the collapse of the metal frame WTC buildings is suspect and doesn't seem plausible. The black smoke pouring out of the North and South Towers prior to collapse indicates lack of oxygen and a fire incapable of generating sufficient heat to cause structural steel failure.

I've been around controlled building demolitions before. The collapses of the buildings in the 911 tragedy appeared to me to be controlled demolition from the outset. From my general studies of steel structures and the properties of structural steel, I know that the buildings did not collapse as a result of the fires. I have reviewed the design drawings available on the internet as best possible. These buildings were designed to withstand an accidental airplane running into the structure. Explosion of the fuel in the airplanes was not hot enough to melt the steel or degrade the integrity of the structure sufficiently enough to cause the perfectly vertical collapse I saw on that tragic day.

I realized from the beginning that the 9/11 attacks were not simply carried out by 18 foreign students learning to fly small single & twin engine planes in a Florida flight school. Flying Boeing 7x7 passenger airliners is quite different from those tiny planes. I have read many reports and watched numerous videos prepared by independent American professional analysts of various disciplines disputing the official 9/11 story. A group of professional American pilots agreed that the 18 students could not have flown the huge planes with the required skill and precision to evade radar detection and hit the buildings as we have seen. I have also watched videos of Architects and Civil engineers discussing the design, structure, architecture and collapse of the buildings and reached similar conclusions as those of the AE911Truth. There is a consensus among many people I have talked to since the 9/11 attacks that the planes were remotely controlled. Foremost, there was no investigation of any kind right after the attacks which were simply blamed on Osama Ben Laden and al-Qaeda!.

Built steel framed buildings in Saudi Arabia, mechanical engineering in UK, taught building maintenance and analysis in NZ, evaluated amphibious all terrain vehicles in Germany for UK importer, currently have clients in steel fabrication and erection in NZ.
It is almost impossible that a symmetrical collapse can occur from non-symmetrical causes, hence it is extremely unlikely that WTC7 could have collapsed in the way it did from randomly distributed fires. A full investigation is vital. As WTC 1 & 2 were largely stressed tube monocoques I prefer not to comment, other than to state that the cores of each building were both conventional in construction and significantly over-engineered for the projected loadings. Regardless of the fate of the floors and outer shell, the core should have remained standing, at least for 30-50 floors in height, and in all cases below ground should have been intact. Below ground was destroyed, hence, non-conventional causes.

I liked and did well in high school physics; but flunked out of the UC Davis College of Engineering, freshman year, and returned in the College of Letters and Science in good student standing. My final quarter there was stopped by students and faculty in protest of the illegal bombing of Cambodia; which gave me great interest in government and media deception of its public. Two Orwell novels assigned in high school honed awareness of propaganda in language. An Experimental Psychology class taught me critical examination of scientific reports and test design. As a builder and a bicyclist, I have a strong practical relationship with physics. My year as an engineering student taught me all about dry labbing experiments.
From the evidence presented here it is obvious to me that the official reports are false; which could only mean a coverup of whomever planted the charges to make those three buildings fall into their own footprints, and at the same rate as the acceleration of gravity; free fall in other words. Please open a new, and truly independent investigation.

Well I did not attend any college after graduating from high school in 1996. Rather I have spent my time working in a few different fields. Working in a food production plant in Texas for several years, which led to me being the leadman of the line in which I worked. Since then i have spent most of my time working in the automotive repair field.
Well as I'm sure it has presented here before, the fact that 3 buildings all fell as a result of fire for the first time in history as we know it says a lot about the fact that there is very likely something that is being hidden from the public.

I watched the destruction of the three buildings with serious doubts concerning the explanations I was receiving from the investigators, the commission report, the media, and the federal government. I have followed the discourse from the beginning. I have read and re-read the reports and I have repeatedly viewed the video records of this event. At this time I must conclude that, from my perspective, the explanations given, for the evidence presented as well as subsequently discovered, do not fully account for the facts. I strongly support a renewed and unfettered investigation of the event.

I have worked in the building industry for the last 25 years, and have been involved in the construction or renovation of more than 50 projects around the world.
The video of the building 7 collapse shows a classis demolition technology, one which causes the building material to fall within the building footprint. This collapse could not possibly be the result of a fire.

Graduate of MSU in 1958 with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Worked 50 years in related fields dealing with stress analysis, high speed drive systems, gas turbine engines and semiconductor lithography machinery. I am married with 7 children and 16 grandchildren. I am now retired working a small woodworking shop on a full time basis.
My major concern is that the truth about how the buildings were destroyed is revealed. It is obvious the collapse of all 3 buildings did not happen the way it was reported. All three buildings evidently fell in a free fall state which is not explained by the resulting fires after the plane crashes. Something else caused the buildings to collapse. Building 7 is the main clue that showed that something else was happening that day. It is important to me that the truth comes out so that something like this will never happen again. I am not interested in a conspiracy theory but strictly from an engineering standpoint. A first year engineering student could have performed a more thorough failure analysis of those building collapses then what was performed.

I have been suspicious from the beginning of the buildings collapse. It has never made sense that the buildings would collapse the way they did. I have just recently started revisiting the whole 9/11 story by reading Flight 93 Revealed by Rowland Morgan. I saw some more footage of the collapses and it looks like to me that it was a demolition job more than anything else.

I concur that someone threw the switch which caused a series of well placed thermite charges to go off in a demolation style collapse of the buildings... not to mention the immediate talking heads ready for the breaking story on mainstream media outlets to play damage control, and fix the story in minds of the people that we have been attacked. I can't really say who did this... but it could be criminal elements of shadow government in the works. We do know that daddy bush wants a new world order anyway possible. That's my thoughts on this matter.
