PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

It is also our responsibility as concerned American citizens to ask questions and seek honest answers. I encourage everyone to read the numerous books, technical reports and papers about the WTC; look closely at the photographs and videos; listen to the speakers with an open mind. Decide for yourself, and take a stand for what you believe. As a structural engineer I believe in the laws of physics and rely on them every day. - - - - After much reading and studying it is obvious that NIST, FEMA and the 9/11 Commission have all fallen short of a detailed accounting of the catastrophic collapses of the three World Trade Center buildings in Manhattan on 9/11/01. A few examples of unexplained details include the severe high temperature corrosion attack on the steel as described in Appendix C of the FEMA Building Performance Study, the complete symmetrical collapses following asymmetric structural damage and short-term fires, and the chemical signature of incendiary compounds found in the toxic WTC dust. - - - - I would really like to know why complete collapse of the twin towers became inevitable as expressed by NIST without any scientific analysis to substantiate it. Why would all 110 stories drop straight down to the ground in about 10 seconds, pulverizing most of the contents into dust and ash - twice? Why would WTC 7 fall straight down to the ground in about seven seconds the same day? It was not struck by any aircraft or engulfed in any fire. An independent investigation is justified - and necessary - for all three collapses.

I am college philosophy professor and long time member of 9/11 Truth Seattle. My specialty is the nature of religion, in particular as understood in cognitive terms. So I look at the human brain and the functions religion appears to serve. My conclusion is that religion (generically understood) is the brain's operating system. I did my PhD at Claremont and came to the 9/11 Truth Movement through reading Griffin's New Pearl Harbor. Since I knew him I knew that I had to take the book seriously. Since then I have been active, lectured, help produce events and written on 9/11. I have always been politically active. It is just the profound moral dimension of what 9/11 Truth is about demands a response -- or so I have argued in print. But it is true, I am a 9/11 activist against my will because I feel morally compelled to do something about the monstrous evil imperial America does.

The way the building collapsed makes no scientific sense. The buildings fell down as if it were pulverized , like what occurs in a controlled demolition. In addition, there were parts of the building that seemed to be falling in the horizontal axis as well as downward, as if they were exploded outward from the building.. Pieces of the building were found very distant from where the buildings stood.

Stephen Jones is a physicist from whom I have had great respect for many decades. When Stephen Jones appeared on a Tucker Carlson segment on CNN, Tucker countered Jones' observations of the near free fall of Building 7 with the remark that he could not believe that his government could have done such a thing and therefore rejected Jones' observations. Now that we live in the post Snowden age, maybe Tucker should rethink his inability to imagine that his government could do something like this. But Tucker might be right, for there is at least one other government that could have brought about the controlled demolition and this one would know how to hide the operation by involving as few people as possible.

The theory that the three towers collapsed due solely to aircraft impact defies the physics law of conservation of momentum. Simply, the impact of the collapsing upper section does not have the force necessary to push through the stronger lower sections at an ever accelerating rate. (The increase in acceleration during collapse was documented by independent researchers.) WTC 7 was not struck by an aircraft but also collapsed that same day. This collapse is entirely unprecedented in the history of fire-protected steel frame high rise construction. The only way the three towers could have collapsed in the manner observed was by additional forces, such as demolition charges, being added to the buildings.
