PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I graduated from Columbia in 1974 and went on to practice architecture and civil engineering for 8 years. I am now a computer specialist in integration, CAD and software engineering.
By 9/12 I was convinced that there was something fishy about the collapse of the WTC. I learned about progressive collapse from my engineering professors at Columbia, and I found it hard to imagine that the twin towers could have failed in that way. They were specifically designed to resist impact and load applied by the collision of a Boeing 707 jet. The buildings appeared to have been destroyed by an engineered demolition. When I articulated my suspicions, however, I was met with derision. I have continued, however, in my conviction that the buildings were intentionally destroyed.

The way they fell, defies the laws of physics...The amount of energy absorbed by the buildings did not translate properly into a general violation of the entire structural integrity. The momentum of each of the airplanes (eg, 4 million Kg ' 1000 k/h = 333 Million Newtons) does not, and cannot, mathematically translate into the physical circumstances for their collapse (tensile strength of steel columns)...especially only 90+ minutes later.

I have calculated the acceleration of the fall of the wtc 1, wtc 2, and wtc 7 buildings using their height and fall time. The acceleration value for all 3 buildings is the same as the acceleration of gravity. In other words, free fall. This is only possible if the buildings had their internal steel supports sheared by thermate as the buildings fell. This was clearly an inside job. I have absolutely no doubt. Wtc 7 held bush's gubernatorial documents, so was prepared to implode before the event. Remember, those documents were sent there to avoid scrutiny by Alberto Gonzales. This was the work of George bush, his brother Neil, and probably bin laden as a co conspirator. Please get busy and get some real independent physicists to research this. Steel does not melt from a smoldering (remember the sooty black smoke).

I studied physics from 1981-1987. In 1987 I graduated from the Department of Physics , St Petersburg State University, St Petersburg, Russia. I studied and interpreted acoustic waves propagation in the sedimentary of Arctic Ocean. I came to the USA in 1990. From that time i moved into Computer Programming and worked as a Programmer Analyst for number of corporations in New York.
I did the estimated calculations using the Law of Energy Conservation and Impulse Conservation for the collapsed building of WTC. ( Available). The goal was to find out if energy released as a result of kerosene burning and impact ( kinetic energy) was enough to damage concrete and steel structure within one floor affected. I used linear model to estimate upper numbers. Based on my calculations, the energy released was not enough to heat concrete insulation to 600 C that in technical literature is indicated as point that damages concrete. The steel would stay protected from heat. Under this condition, the structure of building is supposed to be unharmed ( linear model). It is most likely that the flame would damage many floors , but we would see the steel skeleton unharmed. Linear model simply gives us the upper energy estimates to answer the question: if the energy was ( was not) enough to damage concrete insulation, and further heat steel beams. However, due to the fact that in the reality, we deal with non-linear model, we allow local deformations caused by heat gradient. So, the picture would allow bended steel in some areas, and probably partially collapsed floors, that do not contradict Energy Conservation law, but simply reflects its differential distribution. Objection against free fall of 9.2 s. If we assume that the upper part of the building ( over the plane hit level), becomes unsupported due to heavy damage of the beams, the process of falling down cannot be possibly vertical. The unsupported parts will get turning moment and will be inclining to that part of the building where the plane hit it. ( We assume the hardest damage to the supporting steel beams there). As a result, the upper part will start falling to that side since it will get turning moment. We may expect it fall down to that side of the building, but the rest of the building to stay as it is, since it is not damaged and may not possibly get turning moment. Example: if we cut one leg of the 4 leg chair, the chair may ( may not, depends on weight), fall on that corner, where we cut its leg . As heavier the seat, as higher the turning moment) These models are pretty much enough to explain the physics of the process at the model level, in my opinion. There is neither other forces or energies involved, if we assume that plane/buiding is the closed system and there is no other energy source to income to the system.

I got a B.S. in physics at MIT, and a Ph. D in experimental solid state physics at the university of Illinois. I have been working as an electrical engineer since then, now working on integrated circuits.
The timing of the collapse is very odd. Jet fuel is liquid, so it would spread out and burn very quickly. One plane produced a large fireball which exhausted in a few seconds. The fires would be the hottest in the first 3 minutes, hence the steel the weakest. After 10 minutes, the fire would be dying down, and the steel cooling and strengthening. The buildings should have collapsed in the first 10 minutes or not at all. Other buildings have had normal fires for 1 week without collapsing.

From what I have seen on this and other websites, I strongly agree that the destruction of WTC 1,2 & 7 are best described by controlled demolition. My doubts came about with the mysterious free fall straight down when only one side of each building was hit. If there was a weakening, a building tilt might have been expected. Further research showed that there is no way the jet fuel could have heated up the beams to the required temperature. Furthermore picture evidence post collapse showed angular cuts on each beam where the beams melted. Jet fuel could not be so precise. Qui bono?

I'm an entrepreneur who is trained in Physics and Engineering. While I'm not a structural or mechanical engineer, I understand the science being presented by ae911truth.org... and it is sound. It is *certainly* sound enough to cast great shadows of doubt over the official story... and given the import the events of 911 have had on our contemporary government and industry, I'd say an independent, citizen-compelled investigation is completely justified.
I think there is *ample* evidence to open this investigation with far-reaching congress-backed and new-president-backed indictments. Being trained in physics and engineering, there simply is no logic to the official story. It's a trust us we know what's best for you faith-based explanation. Very suspect. Let's get to the bottom of this, and televise the proceedings, and build a web-based community to let everyone investigate, and contribute to the investigation-- a thousand points of enlightenment.

I joined the army on the lie in 2002. I am now a college student at The University of Massachusetts-Boston and am studying biology and physics. WTC 1, 2 & 7 were not natural gravity driven global collapses. There are so many undeniable problems with both collapse initiation, and progression that there can be no doubt that the destruction of the buildings were brought down in a controlled manner. There simply was not enough potential energy available within the buildings alone to produce the scale of destruction witnessed.

I don't think two towers collapsed dew to excessive heat weakening the steal structure. I can see explosions on many videos available on the Internet. Everybody in my country (even children) knows there is something wrong with the official statements. I hope some day everyone sees the truth.

I witnessed the 2nd. plane hit---then glued to the TV--saw the twin towers drop---I said to others present that's impossible from those plane hits--something doesn't add up And then when Bldg 7 came down --that was it ! No reason--perfect example of controlled demo.---If so--when & who set-it-up ? Then the rest comes out the crash site in Penn !? the crash at the Pentagon !? Who do we pressure to investigate & assess blame ??

Much has been written by NIST and others about the WTC building collapses prior to initiation of collapse. But the actual features of the collapses themselves are difficult to explain on the basis of fire and gravity alone. Too many of these features point to explosive demolition of some sort. The removal and destruction of the physical evidence, without adequate and independent study and investigation, is perplexing. Normally, such a study would be of paramount concern to all.

I am very interested in mechanical physics and I studied it at A-Level. I understand the fundamentals but did not pursue it further at University for financial reasons.
Numerous features of the so-called collapses are physically impossible in my mind. The top 30 floors of the south tower fell at an angle approaching 20 degrees, meaning the center of mass was highly off-center. Yet the lower floors were destroyed symmetrically. The top 15-story block of the north tower crushed itself at constant acceleration, which would appear to violate newtons third law. The very fact that buildings like WTC7 were even damaged at all is suspicious considering the amount of horizontal kinetic energy required to hurl several tonne steel beams laterally at velocities exceeding 50 miles per hour. The fire-induced failure of WTC7's so-called vital column and the 2.25 seconds of unhindered freefall, regardless of their physical plausibility, are two of MANY coincidences required by the official story of 9/11.

Someone said, 'one is easier fooled than persuaded that they have been fooled.' The simple fact that Building 7 fell at the acceleration of gravity for 2.5 seconds means that ALL of the vertical support structure (columns) had to have been removed with near perfect timing. Clearly, random fires in a building cannot do that. This is elementary physics.
