On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

Worked for 50 years in construction design in and around NYC, including several years in my own engineering business. While working, bought and converted to residential use an old, empty industrial building within Ground Zero. Moved there with my family in 1992. Retired in August, 2001, went for short vacation to Italy, and returned to my own bed on September 10, 2001, where I was awakened by the sound of the first plane crashing into the WTC.
I lived and worked in lower Manhattan before the WTC was built. I witnessed and was involved in several projects within the WTC during and after its construction. On 9/11, I was awakened by the noise of the crash of the first plane into WTC 1 and witnessed the fire and distruction caused by that event. While I was watching, the second plane hit WTC 2. My wife and I left the area by bicycle 20 minutes before the collapse of the North & South Towers, which we witnessed from 1 mile north. My house is 2 blocks from WTC 7, which collapsed several hours later. I was allowed to return to the area 1 week later. I was disturbed by the height of the debris caused by the relatively small WTC 7 compared to the smaller mound from the Twin Towers. Since then I have been following the conspiracy theories, and have found much in them to be accurate and troubling more accurate than the official government reports.

Dear Mr. Gage: Thank you for taking on the architectural and engineering review of the collapses on 9/11 of the buildings at the World Trade Center site. I was dubious of the official explanations from the outset. You see, as a professional city planner in New York, I knew those buildings and their design. I attended and participated in the hearings at the New York City Hall when the buildings were first proposed. I argued for the buildings on the basis that the interior core represented a way of internalizing the cost of mass transit, which in our system is almost impossible to finance through public bond issues. So I was well aware of the strength of the core with its steel columns, surrounding the elevators, and stairwells. I should also mention that with a degree in architecture and instruction in steel design (my Yale professor had worked on the Empire State Building) I was and am no novice in structural design. When I saw the rapid collapse of the towers, I knew that they could not come down the way they did without explosives and the severing of core columns at the base. The spewing of debris from the towers where the planes entered also could not have occurred simply with just a structural collapse. Something else was happening to make this occur. Moreover, the symmetrical collapse is strong evidence of a controlled demolition. A building falling from asymmetrical structural failure would not collapse so neatly, nor so rapidly, as you have pointed out. What we are faced with is a lie of such proportions that even to suggest it makes one subject to ridicule and scorn. Who could have done such a terrible thing? Certainly not our government or military. Rogue elements in the intelligence agencies? I have no idea. But I do know that the official explanation doesn't hold water. An open, honest re-opening of the case is in order. A near majority of Americans agrees with this view. Let us keep pressing for an honest investigation.

Having watched the 'attack' on live television at 4:30 in the afternoon in central Europe, what was shown to the rest of the world leaves it clear in my mind why a distaste for Americans has developed the world over. My main fear about 9/11 is the amount of secrecy that enveloped 'ground zero.' By not allowing independent investigators access to the site seems awfully convenient. Another 'convenience' occurred when building 7, holding valuable CIA and DoD information, collapsed as neatly as the Twin Towers without having been directly damaged. The ever-growing list of questions concerning the events that September morning MUST be investigated if we are to accept the fate of a war justified by such an act.

What is declared by NIST as reasons for the building collapse does not make engineering sense, does not follow laws of mettalurgy, nor follows laws of physics for free fall. All three buildings collapsed in their own footprints, which is a highly unlikely event unless as a result of controlled demolition. The building's architect has stated that the structures were designed for airplane strikes. If one were to believe that the weight of the airplanes were responsible for the collapse, then they should come up with a scenario why the third, 42 story building also collapsed in it's own footprint without being struck by an airplane...and also why the old post office building across the street did not fall from the supposed ground shaking. Also, if one supposes the collapse was due to the airplane weight and complicity of the fire created by airplane fuel burning...do they really think it's possible to melt steel instantaneously at gravitational freefall rate? (Even if airplane fuel could burn hot enough to melt steel in the first place).

"On 9/11/01 I was living at my Park Avenue condo apartment in midtown Manhattan. As an independent early responder, I was at ground zero from day 2 through day 7, for a total of 66 hours on site. Unlike most others affiliated with agencies, I freely covered all parts of the scene. I circumnavigated the entire site 4 times, searched, photographed, warned many of the asbestos 'snowfall', informed non-professionals of the tower's structural system, met with some agency chiefs, and interfaced with 10 of the F.E.M.A teams that arrived. Soon after sunrise on 13 Sept 01, I viewed the remains of building 7 from the top of the exterior stairs on the north side of the plaza. Though at the time I could rationalize how the twin towers came down from pancaking, I was baffled how bldg 7 could fold in on itself so perfectly without damaging adjacent structures and leaving asymmetrical ruins. When I gave a live 13-minute phone interview with Fox News in NYC the day Bush visited the site, and methodically described the structural status of all the buildings affected, I may have been one of the very first people to publicly state that building 7 ended up looking as if a ""controlled demolition"" took place."

First I attended Northwestern Michigan College for mechanical engineering - received associates degree in science and arts. I then attended Ferris State University where I received my associate of science degree as well as my bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering while specializing in material science and metallurgy. I have held various positions such as: extrusion engineer, design engineer, process engineer, industrial engineer, as well as professor of metallurgy.
It's appalling how poorly the official investigations were executed. Especially since evidence started getting hauled off site only 2 weeks after the destruction occurred. If a plane crashes under 'normal' circumstances, months and months worth of investigations occur as well as reconstruction of the aircraft in order to determine the root cause of the accident through failure analysis. I wish a proper and thorough investigation could have taken place that also took into account the explanation as to why molten steel was present. The melting points of A36 and A242 structural steel from which the towers were constructed are 2,882 degrees F and 2,450 degrees F respectively, while jet fuel burns at a maximum temperature of around 1,500 degrees F - clearly not hot enough to turn structural steel into orange, molten liquid. The color orange is an important distinction because molten aluminum is silver in color which many have claimed the molten material is simply aluminum from the aircraft. The Boeing 767 aircraft that allegedly crashed is mostly constructed of 2024 aluminum which begins to melt at 935 degrees F which obviously isn't hot enough to melt the structural steel either..

Who has had enough Washington B.S.? Lets get the real truth, if there is more than what we are led to believe. At this point I think as it is reported was accurate. On 9/11 I was in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, at a trade show and saw the events on TV. They closed the show at 2 pm as too many people were upset and many had relatives in NYC. We had to drive back West through Pennsylvania, as the beltway was closed, and saw the smoke in the field in Pennsylvania.

The way Building 7 went down could not have happened without the detonation of substantial explosives in key locations deep within the building. It seems that there should be a simple and justifiable explanation for its demolition. If it involves national security I am willing to accept it. I don't understand why there should be any coverup. When the Twin Towers fell, I was in shock. I'd never seen anything remotely like that. The whole process of investigation of 911 seems to be a setup. It took two years to select a 911 Commission, which was given no funds to investigate the debris, or thorough investigation of causes of the collapse, and completely ignored the collapse of Building 7, which was obviously demolished by the use of explosives. I am amazed that the insurance companies so readily, provided compensation to the insured, who had hardly invested bare 1% of the cost of the buildings themselves. In my case, I am still trying to get Zurich Insurance to pay me for the roof damage to my small building by Hurricane Wilma five years ago.

Common sense and military training on explosives. I know a Planned Demolition when I see it. I said I saw one on 9/11 as they were falling. And I still say that to this day. I commend the planners for their talent. I chastise them for their lack of moral values. I also chastise my elected officials for failing to call this what it is. Their cowardice in the face of the enemy, an enemy that lies within, is a shame and disgrace! How many have died because of their COWARDICE?

I have recently become a 9/11 truther. There are too many things that need to be explained, and the NIST statements do not explain them. I believe that controlled detonations may be feasibly explained in the twin towers, but not in WTC7.

It was clear on September 11 that building 7 was brought down through controlled demolition from what was seen on national TV. It brought me to study and locate explosive debris exiting all three buildings on 9/11.

With the underlying and supporting structures still visibly intact, the collapse of WTC 1, 2 and 7 are highly suspect. The rate at which the buildings collapsed is too rapid to consider it simply a matter of structural failure due to fire. Also, there are numerous eyewitness reports of explosions and inexplicable damage to the lobbies of WTC 1 and 2 that urge closer investigation. Without a thorough, independent and open investigation the official explanation of the events of 9/11 remains highly questionable.

Long ago I suggested the curious involvement of ACE Elevator. David Ray Griffin did some investigation, then handed it off to a couple of people in California. Never to be heard from again? In New York City nothing happens in those buildings without the assistance of licensed, union, elevator constructors (they were being ''remodeled')! To this day I think that is extremely important and needs to be explained.
