On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

As a Reliability and Quality Engineer for over 30 years, I was required to consider all of the facts associated with any engineering failure. Disciplines that required my constant awareness are design integrity, manufacturing defects, environmental exposure, life limiting factors, etc.
I was acutely aware of Engineering Cost Analysis and Life Cycle Cost Analysis, with many post graduate courses in these disciplines. My career was heavily biased toward statistical analysis and Warranty Cost Forecasting, requiring me to consider all possibilities, emphasizing the likelihood that the less likely events should be considered less heavily. Perhaps, this is why I was extremely reluctant to even consider the possibility that 9/11 could have been a staged event. What is the chance that our own government could pull that off and get away with it? I pondered. When I was confronted with the facts, and I considered the reality that the temperatures of jet fuel combustion do not support the suggested failure modes posed by the government's official report, I was forced into a paradigm shift. This reality has changed my entire perspective on the groups that I had previously dismissed as emotional, uneducated fools. I was wrong and I am grateful to the 9/11 Truthers for holding me accountable for the Truth! Now, I too am a 9/11 Truther. The facts about the collapse of three WTC buildings on 9/11/2001 just do not support the theory posed by the PBS Report, or the US Government's publication. There must be further explanation to satisfy my hunger for the truth about the horrible realities of the WTC and Pentagon murders. As an engineer, as a patriot, as citizen of the United States of America, I demand that the government which is accountable to its citizens appoint an independent commission to investigate and report on the Truth of 9/11/2001.

My most vivid memory of the day was walking through four to six inches of concrete powder toward the WTC complex. 'Powder' as in baby powder. Office fires? Lack fuel/heat, but even IF, these collapsed long before their fire ratings so it's logically not possible. If structural damage contributed, then a partial non symmetrical event would manifest.

I do not however make the claim that 9/11 was an inside job due to a lack of evidence, but the need for alternative independent investigation regarding the presence of nano-thermite at the locations of WTC towers 1 and 2 and the deliberate take down of WTC 7 at free fall speed leave many unanswered questions.

The following information as it came in did not make sense either. Over days and weeks, I found that many others felt the same way. Early on I joined a 9/11 group and read as much information as I could find. In flying to LA about a week after 9/11, I chatted with a man for hours whose best friend, was an architect who had worked on the World Trade Center who had told him the story just couldn't be as officially stated. I found this website listed in a Russian publication about an hour ago. A few days before that I watched the stunning movie, '9/11 Press for Truth,' http://tinyurl.com/kq8s6f. Then the next day I read the article about the lead person on the Government Commission on 9/11, an attorney, who was the primary writer of the Report, confessed that it was mostly lies and deceit. Currently, there seems to be a real swell of new interest.

Collapse of the three high-rise buildings on 11 Sept 2001 seems improbable as a sole consequence of the airplanes striking the two world trade center buildings. The circumstances of building 7 failing in the same manner as the twin towers is even more improbable. Photographs and video of the impact area on the Pentagon show little evidence of the airplane that reportedly struck the building.

On the day the towers fell, I watched along with everyone else the video of the collapses over and over. It was disturbing to know that so many people were dying in all that destruction. But there was something else equally disturbing. It just didn't look right. - - - - Like everyone else I waited for the investigation and the explanation of what happened that day to come out. I had faith that our free press investigative journalism and our justice system would eventually get to the truth. Now I am not so sure. 8 years later and we as a nation are still in a fog. When you watch the videos and listen to firefighter testimony, it appears that the 3 buildings exploded. If there was a point of failure the building would have toppled asymmetrically and not at free fall speed as the supports below the fires would not have melted. Bones and dust were scattered many blocks away and a collapse does not support this but an explosion would explain it. Why not investigate how the terrorists planted the explosives in the building beforehand? Why not test the dust for thermite or nano-thermite? I would like to know the truth of what has happened. I have moved out of the United States and have converted my dollars to other currency until I can trust those in power again.

AE911Truth.org has done a tremendous job and service to true Americans and the American way to objectively and clearly state the dramatic contradictory evidence to the official 911 government storybook fable. The fact that the information is coming from degreed and licensed professionals in the Architecural and Structural Engineering community provides a level of credibility that will hopefully propel the issue into the public spotlight. I was skeptical until I recently read about the nano-thermite particles independently found in the WTC dust remnants. Coupled with the facts: that NIST did not test for thermite or explosives; NIST avoids the thermite discussion; and the pancaking collapse of the 3 buildings that looks exactly like a controlled Las Vegas style hotel demolition; denial seems impossible. NIST officials should be indicted.

If the official explanation is true, it follows that all the events that took place in 9/11 defy engineering and physics principles, but most importantly, they defy logic. By having the most basic experience with mechanical phenomena you can clearly see that the top of the South Tower should have continued falling off to the side of the building when it tilted immediately after the collapse started. The only reasonable explanation is that it encountered no resistance as it fell or that it was pulverized in mid air.

While WTC 1 & 2 are not quite as obvious, possibly due to size and scale, WTC 7 is obvious that all supports were removed not only for free fall speed but for level roof-line fall. All supports would have to be removed simultaneously for this type of event.

After viewing video evidence of the structural debris from the basement of the WTC buildings, and the angle of the sheared steel columns, it concerned me that this did not look like normal structural failure. In addition, video evidence of building 7's collapse was disturbing in that that building sustained no damage from the attacks - so why did it collapse (and in such a controlled manner). The plumes/puffs of smoke from the sides of the building appear similar to controlled demolition charges.

I am a mechanical engineer with 28 years of engineering experience. I have approximately 20 years of experience in the nuclear power industry. I was involved with the development of the corrective actions department for Cooper Nuclear Station. I had extensive training in root cause investigations. I was involved in numerous investigations to determine failure mechanisms and contributing factors.
I performed a simple energy analysis that can be performed by anyone who has taken high school physics or mathematics. The calculation shows WTC 1 & 2 did not contain sufficient potential energy to cause a progressive gravitational collapse. My calculation takes the entire mass of the building and distributes it evenly on every floor. This is overly conservative since the mass per floor is greater at the bottom because of the heavier structural columns. I also did not deduct any mass for any material that fell outside of the building footprint. Only material falling within the footprint of the building could have caused damage to a lower portion of the building. The energy of material that damaged surrounding buildings was not available to damage lower portions of the WTC 1 or 2. The energy calculation was based on the building material releasing its potential energy (the only energy available for destruction) by falling all the way down to ground level. The pulverized concrete released its energy very slowly as it drifted to the ground and was not available to destroy any building structure below it. - - My calculation shows that if all of the potential energy contained within the Tower was transferred to all of the surface area of all of the Tower floors, they would only be subject to 1,200 ft-lb/sq-in. Hardly enough to pulverize all the concrete let alone destroy all the structural steel columns and supports. This is why structural steel buildings do not simply fall due to gravity alone. Additional energy had to be involved to cause the destruction that was observed. Controlled demolition is the only possible explanation. The laws of nature cannot be violated. - - The WTC 7 free fall also violates the laws of nature.

I tend to view conspiracy theory material as a skeptic, and this is how I approached this issue. After reading peer reviewed studies done at Brigham Young University, I began taking the issue seriously. The fact that many other high-rise structures have sustained fires for long durations without structural failure really makes me question how Jet A fuel burned at atmospheric conditions (sustained fires, post-explosion) could possible generate heat necessary to compromise the structural integrity of the steel to result in structural failure. The near free-fall collapse speeds (documented on video) of the buildings doesn't seem possible from a localized structural failure. If there was structural failure as a result of fire and impact, I would expect an asymmetrical failure of the buildings however the buildings almost entirely upon themselves. I would like to see some more research done upon this subject.

I had a DUT physical measurement, universite paris XIII (physics, chemistry, optics, electronics, mechanics, chromatography, wave physics ...etc) and a CESI Level2 generalist engineer diploma, with career in IT specialization (11 years experience so far).
I think that the free fall speed of the 3 towers is really strange, lack of rational explanation and requires a serious investigation. As of now, the WTC7 collapse remains a mystery for me.

My education has been in electronics and mechanical technology. I worked for RACAL-DATACOM for 25 years, where I was a power transformer design engineer, production engineer, and component engineer. I would agree that there can be no other logical explanation from the evidence to date except that a controlled demolition using the latest technology of ordnance was involved. All three buildings collapse in the same manner? Impossible! If someone reaches into a haystack and pulls out a needle, he is lucky, if he reaches in again and gets another needle, wait a minute something is not right here, and if he reaches a third time and gets a needle, well the answer is quite simple. The haystack is full of needles! IT WAS PLANNED!

I'm a civil engineer with over 17 years of experience in transportation. My study of the WTC-7 collapse is not from a structural engineering perspective, only straight physics. I look forward to a structural engineer providing a more reasonable explanation for the rate of collapse.
I can't get past the consistency of the WTC-7 collapse and any number of controlled demolition operations. I've looked at overall time of collapse vs. free fall and from a conservation of momentum point of view. The correlation is striking and hard to explain without a simultaneous failure of all support within the WTC-7.

When I first watched the first tower fall live on TV, before knowing what would occur in the ensuing seconds, I remember saying after the top started to collapse that Well ... it looks like we will have an 80 story tower! I could not fathom the total collapse of they building. As the top of the building began to fall and be unsupported, the 'supporting forces' (or resisting forces)of the lower floors would have made the upper floors continue their tipping until it fell over and off the remaining floors of the building. The total collapse was unfathomable. With the top floors shed, I would have expected the wrecked interface area to extent only a few floors below where the break was. Ultimately I accepted the given wisdom of those who said it was fire and flawed construction that led to the building's failures. However, over the ensuing years after viewing discussions of the collapse by skeptics of the 'official' story, I began being more aware of the arguments. The information presented in the Stephen Jones DVD and the first Richard Gage DVD provide the opportunity to see the reality of the physics of the collapse. Upon further reflection of the laws of physics and engineering principles, I truly believe that even if fire and the trauma to the structure from the collisions were sufficient to instigate the collapse, that it could not propagate very far. The collapse of WTC-7 is wholy unlike any collapse scenario that I can envision ... without it being intentionally destroyed. The building did not wobble, lean, crumble, sag or show signs of failure until it collapsed. Unimaginable! I believe that a new independent investigation is needed.

I happened to be at home on 9/11 and saw it live on TV. My mother said that she thought the towers would collapse, but I was sure that this would not happen, or only after a rather long time. And if it happened, then only the top floors above the impact zone would fall down. But then the towers were pulverized and I was sitting on the couch with my chin on the floor. All the evidence that has been found, as in the paper by Niels Harrit about thermite in the dust, confirms my initial doubt about the collapses.
