PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I visited NYC the weekend before the 9/11 demolitions and was lucky enough to see the Twin Towers before they disappeared from the landscape. I am fully convinced that Al Qaeda could not have been fully responsible for what happened on 9/11. I have watched 911 Blueprint for Truth and feel it is the most honest, lucid, and probable explanation for how those buildings were destroyed. I do not have any expertise in demolitions, but I understand basic physics concepts such as conservation of energy, conservation of momentum/angular momentum. There must have been additional energy imparted to those structures other than airplane impacts, burning jet fuel, and release of gravitational potential energy in order to take them down in the spectacular shock-and-awe fashion in which they were destroyed.

I concluded early on that the official explanation, even before the 9/11 Commission report, did not add up. The first couple of items that I found suspicious were 1) the pulverizing of the concrete and 2) the free fall of the Towers in less than 10 seconds. Since 2001 I have read many books on the subject starting with Painful Questions by Eric Hufschmid, The New Pearl Harbor by David Ray Griffin (I saw him speak in Berkeley a year ago with Peter Phillips) and Towers of Deception by Barrie Zwicker the latter of which included the CD The Great Conspiracy. From the latter book I agreed with the author (and Richard Gage whom I heard on KPFA today) that there needs to be another, more thorough, investigation of the events of 9/11/2001. To add to my list of suspicious items, I saw a public showing of a CD, in 2004, where the focus was on experienced criminal investigators and how they were making the case about the rapid shipment of the steel from the Towers to India and China and that act was destroying evidence at the scene of a crime. I worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center from 2001-2005. I was amazed how otherwise very savvy physicists and engineers didn't want to entertain the thought, or evidence, that the official explanation did not add up. They willingly accept the official pancake theory. I have my own theory about their willingness to accept the official explanation. Several years ago I came across a term called cognitive dissonance. The psychological description goes like this: the term describes an uncomfortable mental tension that arises from results from having two (or more) conflicting thoughts at the same time i.e. The Towers falling was a bad, terrible event and My government is here to help me and they couldn't have had anything to do with the destruction of the Towers.

I received my Master of Divinity Degree from the Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, California, in 1986. From 2000 until the present (2010) I've been, with my partner, in charge of the Fellowship of Humanity in Oakland, California, a deep green Humanist Church.
I've seen a dozen documentaries on the 9/11 truth scenario and they very convincingly show and tell how the WTC buildings, including Building 7, could not have collapsed the way they did (in some 8 seconds?) because airplanes hit them near the top. It is apparently a matter of physics that steel can't heat up that much or that fast from the initial burning of jet fuel on the top floors to take down the entire buildings in a short time. I was also concerned about how all the evidence of the melted beams on ground zero was removed so quickly, almost over night, so that they couldn't be adequately examined. Then there was the taped voices of the firefighters who heard explosives going off as they were working on the ground floor or the lower floors. There was so much compelling evidence for demolition -- it's all in the documentaries on this subject available to anyone I think.

More than sufficient evidence exists to warrant a thorough, independent investigation into the events of September 11th, 2001. Such an investigation should be conducted by an international team of open-minded scientists and engineers dedicated to finding the truth. If the official report is correct, it should be rigorously proven; and the anomalies that now exist should be explained. If the official report is not correct, that should also be rigorously shown, and widely reported in the media in non-technical terms. It would seem essential at this point to understand in great detail what happened on that day, and why.

I have to admit with embarassment that I did not give thought initially to how the two main towers could have collapsed due to the planes. But I could not believe that after that had happened, the Pentagon was not protected enough to allow to a plane to fly into it. As for Building 7, I did not know about it for quite a while. Once I did find out about it, I realized how many more strange things happened on 9/11 than were discussed in the mainstream media, including various details related to the two main towers.

The buildings could not fall as they did; the destroyed areas were far at the top and can not affect the lower part of the buildings. Besides, the third building that collapsed was not attacked at all - that fact cannot be explained.

Internet is a great media for spreading information, however, the over-abundance of information available might cause difficulties to break through the noise. Theatre and Social Justice. For a long time. A 60's kid. Been teaching theatre for 40 years and Theatre of the Oppressed for 20. Militantly against the Republican plan (conspiracy) since 1981 to bankrupt the country so, after the banks got their trillions, the right wing could force people to choose between domestic/social spending and defense. I have questions. Especially, I want to know how a large airplane made the hole in the Pentagon that we can see, and why no jet engines were ever found there. I'm also curious about the Pennsylvania crash and why it was completely protected and then covered up. But I'm also curious about those towers. I'm not a conspiracy theorist on this one, but as a university scholar I definitely would like a panel outside the control of the Bush administration, and completely independent and professional, engage in much depth into the stories and the science.

I have been and continue to be concerned about the validity and completeness of information available regarding the collapse of 3 buildings on 9/11/01. The paucity of information about Building 7 is especially disheartening. I do not think I have been able to find a source of reliable information that explains the Building 7 collapse. The lack of rescue stories from the building when it did not experience the high temperature fires, is unanswered.

I retired from the Natl. Inst. Environmental Health Sciences in 1995 after over 30 years employment as a Federal Civil Servant Research Chemist. My research efforts had ranged from analytical biochemistry to characterization of intermediary metabolism pathways, pharmacological structure-activity studies, peptide isolation/characterization, studies of biological conditions which effect various toxicological/behavioral end-points. Nothing in my training or background would qualify me to contribute to solving the 9/11 disasters; my training, as well as my interest in crime-solving mystery books/movies does, however, motivate my interest in trying to find rational solutions to some of the unique crimes in world history.
As a retired biochemist, I decided it was time to try to understand what's going on in the real world. My subsequent studies permitted recognition that the events of 9/11/2001 reflected an effort to initiate a war with certain elements of the Muslim culture. In so far as 'dancing Israelis' were discovered nearby the elegantly executed destruction of WTC 1 & 2, it seemed likely that an event of this magnitude could only have happened with the aid of the obsessive intervention specialists in Israel's Mossad. The facts that (a) GWB was permitted to steal the 2000 election, and (b) Dick Cheney appointed himself to the Vice Presidency, indicated something strange was going on and the audacity of the 2003 Iraq invasion plan was simply overwhelming; At the time, I could not understand those events. Now I think they are all related.

I did my graduate work here in 1986 in music. I completed PH.D. coursework the following year. I have lived in Manhattan for nearly 36 years and did a lot of temporary office stints at the World Trade Center. I have no expertise that is germane to these discussion. I do, however, have the ability to question authority.
As I watched the towers burn, I asked myself how they could possibly fight fires 1,100 feet above ground. It had occurred to me they might have to be pulled. If the buildings were allowed to fall laterally, casualties would have been far higher. It was unthinkable however, they'd actually do it. How could they with all the smoke and debris? I wondered if they had been fitted with explosives when they were built, hoping they'd never have to be used.

The fact that the official story is so obviously false is disturbing on several levels. History will have no doubt that it is a lie -- what is still open is how this plays out. I am concerned about what will happen and I think we should be prepared for the possibility that some version of 9/11 truth will be used for political purposes. This could very easily lead to the break up of the United States. It may be that nothing can stop this now. We should be thinking about what kind of government we want to live under and the process by which our leaders are chosen. I keep coming back to the same question: if they wanted the official version to stick, why did they make it physically impossible? The only conclusion I reach is that getting caught might be part of the plan. I am surprised there aren't more people discussing this possibility. It's like the Kennedy assassination, except that it's orders of magnitude more ridiculous.

We need to reopen an investigation in Congress of what happened on 9-11, including WTC7, and the irrefutable evidence for explosive demolition of all three Towers, which is there on film and the seismic record, as well as chemical analysis of the dust and iron beams. This evidence was excluded from the 9-11 Commission report, and also not included in the NIST report. This exclusion of crucial evidence makes these official reports appear to be cover-ups of the truth.

I have been a neurobiologist for over 40 years and a faculty member at Univ. Washington since 1972. I retired in 2007, but am continuing part time research as an emeritus faculty member, with special interests in understanding nerve:tissue interactions in normal, injured, and healing conditions. I have been a precinct committee person for the Democrats in the 1970s as well as other community work such as a Seattle PTSA officer in the 1970s. I joined Scholars for 911 Truth and Justice in 2008.
The WTC buildings clearly could only have fallen the way they did (free fall rate into their own footprint) by controlled demolition that severs steel columns simultaneously, something that cannot happen due to upper level fires. Also, no tall building has even collapsed this way when involved in fires at upper floors. The investigations were superficial, they did not include the third building (WTC#7) or look for signs of explosives, and they have the appearance of a cover up. We need a full investigation to find out what really happened and whether any members of our government allowed this to happen, and if so, who?
