To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I measured on one hand the duration of collapse of the towers ( t1 ) and calculated on the other hand the duration of fall of an object on a height equal to that of the towers ( t2 ). My result is that t1 < t2. I can explain it only by emitting at least the following 2 hypothesis: - floors set no resistance during the fall (this hypothesis alone would lead to the result t1=t2), - the fall of towers was accelerated by the existence of depressions create in the building during its fall.

I accepted the government's conspiracy story as given out by the main stream media and did not give much, if any, thought to it until a neighbor on March 1, 2006 brought me a story from the Desert Morning News in SLC, Utah. It was dated 1-28-06. I contacted the journalist and asked if there were any other stories and she sent me two others. After reading them and finally thinking about it and based on my engineering education and experience, I realized that we have been lied to and that there was a coverup. For instance if the floors pancaked and fell one on the other from the fires, which could not possibly melt and cut the steel, the 47 massive columns over a quarter mile high would still be standing! There was no forensic investigation and the steel fell in lengths that could be loaded and trucked to the west coast and shipped to Asia. Also the R9/11 Commission report did not mention the 47 story WTC 7, which fell the afternoon that the two towers fell in the morning! A sure sign of a false report. My opinion is that the 3 WTC buildings fell as a result of planted cutting charges - an inside job. Regarding the Pentagon, I believe from the size of the hole in the ext. wall and lack of airplane debris, that it must have been a missile. As for the 4th plane that supposedly crashed near Shanksville, PA, there was only a smoking hole in the ground and all the debris was scattered over a very wide area so it must have been shot down.

Obvious demolition. There was no possible way that a plane could demolish either one of the buildings. Although, I was always suspicious about the nature of collapse of the twin towers, I am MUCH more disturbed about the nature of the collapse of Building 7 and what is likely represents. Also, the significant signs of molten metal during and immediately after the collapse of the buildings, (negating the situations where rescuers used torches to remove rubble) is very alarming. Also, I am very disturbed by the lack of thorough investigation of the 911 events. I hope the credibility of the researchers who have found nanothermite is maintained as this will likely be a source of attack for those who want to prevent a new investigation. I believe it is time for firemen, engineers, architects, lawyers, pilots, family survivors, first responders to all support each other to DEMAND a new investigation. 911 is the blackest of modern day historical events and it is SCREAMING for a proper investigation. 911 was an excuse for war, and if in fact it was a premeditated act by more than just the air attackers, then the response attacks AFTER 911 were as much or more EVIL than 911 itself. The truth MUST be found and accountability must be resolved or we as a society, will never be free of its effects.

More than sufficient evidence exists to warrant a thorough, independent investigation into the events of September 11th, 2001. Such an investigation should be conducted by an international team of open-minded scientists and engineers dedicated to finding the truth. If the official report is correct, it should be rigorously proven; and the anomalies that now exist should be explained. If the official report is not correct, that should also be rigorously shown, and widely reported in the media in non-technical terms. It would seem essential at this point to understand in great detail what happened on that day, and why.

I have to admit with embarassment that I did not give thought initially to how the two main towers could have collapsed due to the planes. But I could not believe that after that had happened, the Pentagon was not protected enough to allow to a plane to fly into it. As for Building 7, I did not know about it for quite a while. Once I did find out about it, I realized how many more strange things happened on 9/11 than were discussed in the mainstream media, including various details related to the two main towers.

The buildings could not fall as they did; the destroyed areas were far at the top and can not affect the lower part of the buildings. Besides, the third building that collapsed was not attacked at all - that fact cannot be explained.

Theatre and Social Justice. For a long time. A 60's kid. Been teaching theatre for 40 years and Theatre of the Oppressed for 20. Militantly against the Republican plan (conspiracy) since 1981 to bankrupt the country so, after the banks got their trillions, the right wing could force people to choose between domestic/social spending and defense. I have questions. Especially, I want to know how a large airplane made the hole in the Pentagon that we can see, and why no jet engines were ever found there. I'm also curious about the Pennsylvania crash and why it was completely protected and then covered up. But I'm also curious about those towers. I'm not a conspiracy theorist on this one, but as a university scholar I definitely would like a panel outside the control of the Bush administration, and completely independent and professional, engage in much depth into the stories and the science.

The paucity of information about Building 7 is especially disheartening. I do not think I have been able to find a source of reliable information that explains the Building 7 collapse. I retired from the Natl. Inst. Environmental Health Sciences in 1995 after over 30 years employment as a Federal Civil Servant Research Chemist. My research efforts had ranged from analytical biochemistry to characterization of intermediary metabolism pathways, pharmacological structure-activity studies, peptide isolation/characterization, studies of biological conditions which effect various toxicological/behavioral end-points. Nothing in my training or background would qualify me to contribute to solving the 9/11 disasters; my training, as well as my interest in crime-solving mystery books/movies does, however, motivate my interest in trying to find rational solutions to some of the unique crimes in world history.
As a retired biochemist, I decided it was time to try to understand what's going on in the real world. My subsequent studies permitted recognition that the events of 9/11/2001 reflected an effort to initiate a war with certain elements of the Muslim culture. In so far as 'dancing Israelis' were discovered nearby the elegantly executed destruction of WTC 1 & 2, it seemed likely that an event of this magnitude could only have happened with the aid of the obsessive intervention specialists in Israel's Mossad. The facts that (a) GWB was permitted to steal the 2000 election, and (b) Dick Cheney appointed himself to the Vice Presidency, indicated something strange was going on and the audacity of the 2003 Iraq invasion plan was simply overwhelming; At the time, I could not understand those events. Now I think they are all related.

I did my graduate work here in 1986 in music. I completed PH.D. coursework the following year. I have lived in Manhattan for nearly 36 years and did a lot of temporary office stints at the World Trade Center. I have no expertise that is germane to these discussion. I do, however, have the ability to question authority.
As I watched the towers burn, I asked myself how they could possibly fight fires 1,100 feet above ground. It had occurred to me they might have to be pulled. If the buildings were allowed to fall laterally, casualties would have been far higher. It was unthinkable however, they'd actually do it. How could they with all the smoke and debris? I wondered if they had been fitted with explosives when they were built, hoping they'd never have to be used.

The fact that the official story is so obviously false is disturbing on several levels. History will have no doubt that it is a lie -- what is still open is how this plays out. I am concerned about what will happen and I think we should be prepared for the possibility that some version of 9/11 truth will be used for political purposes. This could very easily lead to the break up of the United States. It may be that nothing can stop this now. We should be thinking about what kind of government we want to live under and the process by which our leaders are chosen. I keep coming back to the same question: if they wanted the official version to stick, why did they make it physically impossible? The only conclusion I reach is that getting caught might be part of the plan. I am surprised there aren't more people discussing this possibility. It's like the Kennedy assassination, except that it's orders of magnitude more ridiculous.

We need to reopen an investigation in Congress of what happened on 9-11, including WTC7, and the irrefutable evidence for explosive demolition of all three Towers, which is there on film and the seismic record, as well as chemical analysis of the dust and iron beams. This evidence was excluded from the 9-11 Commission report, and also not included in the NIST report. This exclusion of crucial evidence makes these official reports appear to be cover-ups of the truth.

I have been a neurobiologist for over 40 years and a faculty member at Univ. Washington since 1972. I retired in 2007, but am continuing part time research as an emeritus faculty member, with special interests in understanding nerve:tissue interactions in normal, injured, and healing conditions. I have been a precinct committee person for the Democrats in the 1970s as well as other community work such as a Seattle PTSA officer in the 1970s. I joined Scholars for 911 Truth and Justice in 2008.
The WTC buildings clearly could only have fallen the way they did (free fall rate into their own footprint) by controlled demolition that severs steel columns simultaneously, something that cannot happen due to upper level fires. Also, no tall building has even collapsed this way when involved in fires at upper floors. The investigations were superficial, they did not include the third building (WTC#7) or look for signs of explosives, and they have the appearance of a cover up. We need a full investigation to find out what really happened and whether any members of our government allowed this to happen, and if so, who?
