PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

And in my opinion there is no doubt, whatsoever, that the official story - especially around building 7 - is invalid. When one starts to look at the evidence presented by my colleagues around the world, it becomes absolutely clear that a fresh, INDEPENDENT, investigation is necessary. Even if one subtracts the usual conspiracy-theories around such event, and even if only 10% of the evidence is valid, it is still more than enough to initiate another inquiry.

J'rg Schneider was appointed Professor of Structural Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) in 1967. He retired in October 1999. Born in Cologne in 1934, he graduated as a civil engineer from the ETHZ in 1958 and worked as a research assistant until 1962. For another four years he worked in industry, where he mainly dealt with the problems of precast and prestressed concrete. As a professor at ETHZ, his research was in the field of safety and reliability in building construction. For many years he was active in various Swiss standardization committees. He was Chairman of the Safety Expert Group of AlpTransit (EGSi) which supported the project management of these two new transalpine railway tunnels in matters of operational safety. He was a member of the Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS) and its President for five years. For many years he was one of the Vice Presidents of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). In 1991 he was elected as an individual member of the Swiss Academy of Technical Sciences (SATW). The University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (Boku) in Vienna awarded him an honorary doctorate degree in 1998 and, finally, he was elected honorary member of IABSE in 2002. In 2000, together with former employees and friends, he founded the engineering office Risk&Safety AG.
Clearly, I cannot believe that the George W. Bush administration willingly sacrificed 3000 lives. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. But I am convinced that the group around Bush gratefully used this terrible event to start the long-planned war on terror. However, there are so many inconsistencies in the official reports on the tragic event and so many gaps, especially in the collapse of WTC7, that only a new independent investigation can confirm or delete suspicions and remove existing ambiguities. I therefore fully agree with the request to have the events re-examined independently. Of course, even a new investigation will not bring people back to life.

Further, our government's continued refusal to satisfactorily answer questions about obvious conflicts in their version of causes and its refusal from the onset to allow a full and open investigation of these causes by an impartial and empowered body strongly suggest that certain elements in the current administration were complicit in facilitating the events of 9/11 as well as engaging in a cover-up of that complicity thereafter. Lacking a full and open investigation for cause it is highly unlikely that the truth can ever be proven.

As a studio artist and Fine Arts teacher I have a strong family and educational background and ties to the natural world and its beauty. From the horrifying moment of seeing the buildings collapsing on TV, I knew that it was a demolition job. Only difference is I am now questioning who did it? I agree with the evidence presented by Richard Gage. I call for democratic re-evaluation. Another area of investigation should be the airplanes; I am not convinced these were common passenger planes. Also the evidence in the damage done to the Pentagon gives rise to many questions.

I am not an architect or engineer, but I am a free-thinking individual with practical common sense, and enough of it to understand the basic science behind why the official story is rubbish. As a result of the media attention given to Islam, I was led to investigate the religion personally, and I converted. I believe 9/11 was designed and manufactured by some of the best sleight of hand magicians alive today. I believe the psychological warfare that was used (and continues to be used today) was brilliant. I believe it is every free thinking and responsible individual's duty to do something about it. I am amazed at the well documented material presented on your site and the total lack of support to investigate probable cause. If nothing else we need an investigation. I am sure the list of people would be much larger than shown here but for the extreme fear that the people in government will search each signers IRS files and Criminal files and do an extensive search to find something they can do to make life hell for them. Many would be signers perhaps work for government agencies or with companies that do work with the government and know or are intimidated by possible damage to their position such a signing could possible do to their ability to earn money for their family!
The buildings collapsing in 9 seconds and all three falling down upon themselves and their being no trace of remains for over 1000 of the victims all demand an explanation from the Government. These facts need an explanation. It is admirable and patriotic on your part to demand such an explanation. I support your efforts and purpose to gain an explanation for the American People. There has been no explanation coming from the Government on these issues. You are not pointing the finger but rather just asking for and explanation that can be understood and reasonable. By the government not giving a clear rational argument begs the obvious question! Was this an Inside Job ?

Watching the videos on the day of 9/11 I was suspicious even then that those building could fall that fast as a result of an airplane impact since nothing like that had ever happened before. I'm baffled as to how two of the largest buildings in the world can fall onto themselves at free fall speed into their own foot prints. People I talk to have no problem with this. I ask, how can a building of that size fall at the same speed as a falling object which just has air to go through, it makes no sense!! There is far too much misleading information regarding this attack from the great possibility that our government knew this was impending coupled with repeated interviews of officials saying they had no idea this could happen, to the collapse of the buildings, the slow response of the NORAD fighters and finally this loosely flung together search for Bin Laden which has only resulted in major human casualty and loss of civilian rights. It is time to question the connections our government officials have outside the office (Carlyle, Haliburton) and turn over this investigation to a truly impartial, well funded and intelligent team of investigators.

I simply want the truth. I reacted like most of the American public did, with outrage and a burning desire for vengeance. All technical details aside, anyone four years old or older knows, senses, understands that when a structure is asymmetrically damaged, it does not collapse over its footprint. Anyone who has witnessed the explosion of the Towers, and the collapse of Building Seven, MUST know that the official story is wrong. The further technical details elicited by A&E, and others, go far toward other, more reasonable hypotheses. The 'I'm not going there', with hands raised, palm outward gesture, indicates that a 'there' is sensed, and indicates a sub-knowledge widely shared (and dreaded).

It only took me about 3 days to realize that everything that I believed about 9/11 (almost 7 years) is completely false. Common sense is all that is needed in order to understand that 110 story buildings don't fall in 10-12 seconds.
