To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

No security plan is foolproof, otherwise the security industry would not be so profitable. There are individuals of questionable connections, some who actually worked in the Towers, who would have had access (including the guard force itself) to have allowed for explosives to be placed in key areas to facilitate the rate of collapse. It would not have taken a large team to implement if systems were put into place slowly, with the explosive materials placed either where dogs did not operate, or after the dogs were removed just prior to 9/11. I cannot stand down from this position given the clear unanswered questions.

Superthermite, thermate, nanoparticles, remote-controlled airliners, multiple explosions/ejections in and from the buildings prior to collapse and during their non-impeded free-fall---all paid for with our tax dollars! I'm a professional engineer with over 40 years of experience. I'm currently licensed in three states: Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. My education and experience relate to the properties of materials used in building port, harbor, and bridge infrastructure. As a licensed civil engineer I have been trained and tested in competency related to civil engineering including structural design and the behavior of building materials. My formal education in engineering and related fields was at the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. I was trained in arctic engineering in Alaska, where I worked on the Alaska pipeline project for Bechtel. My job included monitoring controlled demolition work to create a cut at the summit of the Brooks Range, in preparation for road and pipeline construction.
Like others who have commented I also have a huge question about how WTC building 7 came down later in the afternoon of September 11th. By visual observation, all three buildings exhibited free fall characteristics very similar to characteristics of a controlled demolition. Reviewing literature that described the structural members I have serious doubts regarding the free fall collapse of the interior columns of WTC 1 and 2 buildings over a distance of close to 100 floors as a result of a limited amount of jet fuel. It seems more likely that the majority of fuel burned quickly near the point of impact, consistent with other aircraft crashes. The huge fireball and black smoke observed shortly after the impact suggests the majority of fuel burned quickly and the fire became oxygen depleted. There was likely not enough fuel reaching the lower floors to cause a complete collapse of either building. There were reports of nanothermite in the dust, of molten steel in the basement, and of local fires burning for a week or more after the event. There were reports of multiple and sequential explosions. Some explosions were even reported prior to the impact of the aircraft. These facts all raise more questions about how the buildings may have actually been brought down.

Having just read David Ray Griffin's book on the collapse of world trade center building 7, I am convinced that the whole scenario needs to be revisited and scientifically investigated by a non-politicized panel of experts in all the applicable fields: structural engineering, explosives, physics, chemistry, etc.

The Buildings did not collapse they exploded! Thanks to Richard and all the other professionals that can explain why that happened. When I watched those buildings turn to dust the first thing I thought was they were blown up and I was not the only one. All the news stations were saying the same thing. Then a day later all I herd was that they collapsed due to the fire and I believed it. Going back and watching the towers explode again and then listing to Richard made me realize that there is no way that these building did not have explosives in them. I did not even know about building 7! We were lied to and the truth about the way those buildings exploded is undebatable. How else could that 47 story skyscraper (that was not hit by a plane) turn into dust? I watched, on television the collapse of the twin towers on 9/11/01. To my intelligent citizen's eye the collapse looked like a planned demolition, not the result of a collision of an aircraft with the buildings. There are so many suspicious circumstances surrounding 9/11. There was the determination, by Cheney, Rumseld, Wolfowitz and others to find a reason for attacking Iraq, the oversight of intelligence reports of Al Queda's plan to attack the US----too many unanswered qestions---an investigation is required.

I agree that the manner in which the 9/11 events took place should be questioned further... The collapse of the buildings hit was not logical, given the historical precedents of building construction; there is evidence on film to suggest that more was happening behind the scenes than a terrorist attack - that the government itself may have been complicit, in order to trigger further events advantageous to its foreign policies.

I have been interested in architecture and visual art for as long as I can remember. I first saw the WTC at the age of five. On September 11, 2001, I had been home from New York only a month after studying visual art at NYU. I found the collapse to be fascinating and extremely disturbing. The events of that day stay with me as they remain with all of us who watched them unfold. The reports from what is known as Ground Zero, never made much sense at the time. Everyone was in a state of disbelief. Now that some time has past and the distance from the tragic events are slightly more distant, we can be objective. My critical mind and intelligence guide my signature.

Knowing what I know about how metal reacts to force and after seeing the explosions from the towers before and during the destruction, I knew we were lied to. We have no option but to have a thorough, fully independent investigation of the event and prosecute the individuals responsible for the planning and the cover-up after.

Although I am neither an architect, nor a structural engineer, a thorough review of the very large number of sources on the Internet have demonstrated to me that the US government and the national and international press have failed in their mission to inform the citizens of the United States and world at large in a manner that accurately describes the events of September 11, 2001. In light of the way in which these events have been used to justify other subsequent events on the world stage I urge most enthusiastically a more thorough investigation with the full force of national and international law into the events of 9/11.
