PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I believe, beyond reasonable doubt, that WTC buildings 1,2 and 7 were brought down by controlled demolition. I think the most crucial piece of evidence of this demolition lies in building 7 and its 'collapse'. To fall at near free-fall speed into its own footprint as a result of spot fires is very questionable, and requires an investigation. The fact it was not mentioned in the 911 commission report is absurd and questions need to be asked. I am also concerned why the molten metal found in the debris (all 3 buildings) found 3-4 weeks after the collapses was also not mentioned in the commission report. The official 'pancake' theory is also questionable. Why don't we see the floors stacked up on each other? How did debris collide into neighboring buildings? Why aren't the core columns still standing? Why didn't the top section of the north tower fall to the ground as 1 unit when momentum suggested it should? A comprehensive, independent investigation is needed.

Several first responders including firemen reported explosions in building 1 and 2, including in the basements, prior to the collapse events. Combined with the prodigious volume of fine-grained dust (blown outward from the buildings, and the smoking gun of thermite residue analyzed from metal girder samples, plus persistent pools of molten metal beneath rubble (kerosene jet fuel cannot melt steel), highly suggest the intention demolition of WTC high-rise office buildings independent of external damage caused by aircraft collisions. The mainstream explanation of the WTC demolitions cannot explain away the above observations. A politically independent panel of experts must be convened to finally expose the truth of what happened to the WTC on 9-11-2001.

I feel that the media effectively force-fed the population a misconstrued version of the story. With all the horror and fear and confirmation from experts and eventually war, even I began to replace my initial reaction and knowledge with the thought that stranger things have happened even in the world of engineering. But more so; what would the horrible truth implicate and how would a nation react? Let us not forget that even the Pentagon damage raises questions. Nonetheless; as a member of the engineering society whose duty is to the safety of the public, I believe that too many people have died and too many provocative questions have been dismissed for us to ignore the need for a genuine investigated.

The official explanation of the collapse of the twin towers and building 7 overlooks key evidence that absolutely should be incorporated into the investigation. The fact that building 7, with limited office fires in a relatively small portion of the building, collapsed instantaneously and symmetrically at the acceleration of gravity with almost no resistance at all from the concrete and steel below is alone bizarre enough to warrant further investigation. The investigation should be about truth and nothing else.

I have been questioning the official story almost since 9/11 took place. No modern steel building has ever collapsed in that fashion before (due to fire), and it does not make sense that they should. The official story is so obviously full of holes, that it requires a massive amount of ignoring the evidence to even come close to convincing yourself that it is true.

I have collaborated with a research chemical engineer( P.E. in CA also) and he has worked with NIST reports that positively show that the jet fuel contributed very little to the duration of the fires and that in fact all the fires were very weak in historical perspective. They were oxygen starved as evidenced by the black smoke. If you dig deeper into the NIST reports they confirm that steel temperatures were low. I presented for continuing education credits at the NFPA World Safety Conference in Boston, MA 6/4/2007 My presentation showed that all three WTC collapses have no resemblance to any previous high rise fire, full scale fire tests in the UK involving much higher steel temperatures, or computer simulations using finite element analysis.

I became keenly aware that something wasn't right about the whole scenario surrounding the collapse of two skyscrapers. Having grown up in the shadow of the Empire State Building in New York City in my youth and young adult life, I remember hearing in school that lower Manhattan was Ground Zero in the event of nuclear attack. Living and working in skyscrapers is the norm in NYC. They are virtually indestructible given the amount of steel used and a history of over-building these structures. Then I saw the Loose Change video and that opened my eyes in disbelief that our government could do something like this and hope to get away with it. Let's start with independent hearings to determine the cause of failure of these buildings from a scientific analysis. Let the evidence lead us from there towards criminal prosecution of the guilty.

I was forced to retire in 2002. I had a long Public Works career for the City of Kansas City, MO as a sewer and street designer and a plan reviewer. I college I had a strong interest and aptitude for structures and architecture. I have reviewed many construction plans for buildings and have watched construction of many large structures in KC. I no longer practice engineering but I have been researching 9/11 since it happened.
I have watched the construction of many large buildings and also have personally witnessed 5 controlled demolitions in KC. When I saw the towers fall on 9/11 I knew something was wrong and my first instinct was that it was impossible. When I saw building 7 fall I knew it was a CD. Why was there so many video cameras aimed at B7 when it fell if it was unexpected? Some coincidence. I have been studying this subject since it happened. I can find no evidence that any of the official story, even events other than the 3 buildings, makes any sense or is even possible.

I am not qualified to comment on the particulars of explosive demolition; however, the laws of physics strongly suggest that there is some other mechanism at work in the dramatic collapse of the twin towers. Certainly any structure capable of withstanding the extreme forces inherent in a stable structure of that size would offer some resistance to a collapse. I would expect that an asymmetrically distributed failure, the kind of failure implied by the nature of the impact and resulting fire, would provide asymmetrical resistance that would in turn create a pivot-shearing failure that would result in the lower structure remaining largely intact while the upper structure rotated and collapsed outward in the direction of the least support. Even if the building happened to collapse evenly, it is highly unlikely that the supporting structure would offer no resistance to the collapsing mass. I believe something is obviously missing in the official explanation since it does not correlate with what I know of physics. I would support and encourage an effort to accurately determine and explain the behavior of the three structures.

When I first saw the collapses I remarked that they looked like something one would see in a Hollywood film. It took me a few years to stumble over a video showing what looked like demolition squibs as the twin towers collapsed. Instantly I recognized the truth that was hidden in plain sight. A true eureka moment. I have too many questions to list them all but here's a taster: 1) What caused the molten steel under WTC 1,2 & 7? Why do NIST deny that there was molten steel under these buildings? 2) Why did WTC 1,2 & 7 collapses display all the characteristics of controlled demolitions if they were not? 3) Why was over 99% of the steel from the WTC buildings sent to Asia to be melted down before a thorough forensic investigation could take place? 4) Why did so many witnesses hear & see explosions if there were no explosives in the buildings? 5) How did NIST get away with such obvious pathological science in their report on the collapse of the twin Towers - i.e. ignoring thermal expansion when analysing a possible fire-induced failure? The list goes on and on and on...

I knew for certain that the official story of 9/11 was BS after hearing David Ray Griffin on C-SPAN, then reading his first book about it.. My chemical engineer husband, who is one of your members, confirmed Mr. Griffin's statements after he also watched the C-SPAN presentation.
The collapse of the Towers always gave me an uneasy feeling that there was something very suspicious about it, but most people seemed to accept that it was not that unusual after buildings had been hit by planes. When I heard Mr. Griffin on C-SPAN, I knew instantly that he was right about the collapses--it was the first time I had heard anything that made sense about that day.

None of WTC 1, WTC 2, or WTC 7 could have fallen in the duration in took them to fall (on the order of 10 seconds), virtually directly downward, UNLESS the majority of their many key supporting structural elements on EACH FLOOR were 100% ineffective, or nearly 100% ineffective, and such a situation seems virtually 100% IMPLAUSIBLE, unless there was some sort of configuration for a controlled demolition in place PRIOR TO the planes hitting WTC 1 and WTC 2.

I have been very sceptical of the collapse of the WTC ever since that tragic morning of 9/11, when I watched on TV this horrific event unfold. A hot burning fire could never initiate such a catastrophic failure and collapse of the entire steel frame structure as was the one that occurred that day. Even if the structural damage of the impact and fire had initiated a failure of the support structure of the floors in question, then the failure would have been non symmetric, slow and gradual where the undamaged upper structure would have remained intact - a 'kinking' of the towers would have occurred. The video footage of the collapse that occurred that day is enough evidence to easily proof that a gravitational collapse of the entire structure due to fire did not occur that day (i.e. laws of physics are universal). Simple structural computer simulation and a finite element analysis could demonstrate this and proof without any reasonable doubt that the official story is incorrect. I would suggest that an accurate computer model be made available of the WTC Towers, so that students, professors and engineers around the world run the simulation and publish their results. The results should then be reviewed at an international conference of Structural Engineers and Architects and their findings made public. Any new official investigation of the event of 9/11 needs to be open to the public and transparent with international observers/media and experts present. I hold a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Uppsala University and a Master of Environmental Engineering degree from The University of Queensland. I have knowledge in engineering thermodynamics, combustion and other important skills.
I calculate the collapse of a 417 m high building at 9.22 sec in vacuum which is consistent with the 417 m high WTCs 1&2 which proves highly effective removal of resistance, which cannot happen naturally. To reach the steel melting point of 1500 degrees C requires about 400% air combustion and additional use of an effective energy source such as methane. These were not the natural circumstances on 911 which proves the use of explosives or similar.

I concluded early on that the official explanation, even before the 9/11 Commission report, did not add up. The first couple of items that I found suspicious were 1) the pulverizing of the concrete and 2) the free fall of the Towers in less than 10 seconds. Since 2001 I have read many books on the subject starting with Painful Questions by Eric Hufschmid, The New Pearl Harbor by David Ray Griffin (I saw him speak in Berkeley a year ago with Peter Phillips) and Towers of Deception by Barrie Zwicker the latter of which included the CD The Great Conspiracy. From the latter book I agreed with the author (and Richard Gage whom I heard on KPFA today) that there needs to be another, more thorough, investigation of the events of 9/11/2001. To add to my list of suspicious items, I saw a public showing of a CD, in 2004, where the focus was on experienced criminal investigators and how they were making the case about the rapid shipment of the steel from the Towers to India and China and that act was destroying evidence at the scene of a crime. I worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center from 2001-2005. I was amazed how otherwise very savvy physicists and engineers didn't want to entertain the thought, or evidence, that the official explanation did not add up. They willingly accept the official pancake theory. I have my own theory about their willingness to accept the official explanation. Several years ago I came across a term called cognitive dissonance. The psychological description goes like this: the term describes an uncomfortable mental tension that arises from results from having two (or more) conflicting thoughts at the same time i.e. The Towers falling was a bad, terrible event and My government is here to help me and they couldn't have had anything to do with the destruction of the Towers.

Steel structures do not collapse at free fall speed unless brought down with explosives. Having watched the collapse of the World Trade Center Buildings and listened to witness accounts, it is obvious that explosives were used. Unfortunately, the physical evidence has been destroyed, leaving us to determine who ultimately benefited from this terrorism. It is my belief that WTC 1 and 2 were taken down by non-conventional controlled demolition in which the buildings were exploded from the top down and the large core columns were cut using thermite. WTC 7 was taken down by a classic implosion demolition. All three buildings could not have collapsed/pancaked while falling in on themselves at near free fall speed.
