To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

It is clear to me now that there were tell-tale signs that the three WTC towers were taken down by controlled demolitions: squibs; explosions heard by eyewitnesses in the basement, lobby, and on the street; the speed at which the towers fell that does not agree with laws of physics if they were collapsing under gravity alone; the lateral projectiles as the towers fell; projectiles seen exploding in mid-air; thermite discovered in the dust; molten steel pouring from one of the towers just below the impact of the plane, and the molten steel in the rubble that was seen by eyewitnesses at the site in the days after the collapse. We need to know the truth.

I am a US Army veteran, FAA licensed airframe and power plant mechanic, and a licensed Texas professional engineer. I graduated Dartmouth College and Thayer School of Engineering. I was shocked by 9/11. As an optimist I gave the official story the benefit of the doubt. I am not a believer in conspiracies but your documentary gave me pause. If there is a hint of impropriety in the official story, then it is likely to only be the tip of the iceberg. I hope to god it is wrong, but in my profession, hope doesn't cut it. I need to see evidence that makes sense. The NIST backtracking and weak arguments don't reassure me; as an engineer, I understand the issues raised. Also, in my industry, an objective third party review is always used. I would expect the same from our government.

I'm just a small town architect involved primarily in the design of wood frame residential structures with nearly fifty years of experience in architecture, thirty-two as a registered architect with the last twenty-eight in a private practice I share with my partner. Because of my years of experience I was granted permission to take the professional exam on the condition I passed all of the required pre-qualifying exams, of which there were five if I recall correctly. I did so in 1980 and passed the architectural licensing exam in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1981. I have no experience with high rise structures but I do believe that logic trumps the nonsense written between the front and back covers of The 9/11 Commission Report. In my view the report is more fiction than fact.
The manner in which the towers fell could only have been through controlled demolition. I've witnessed enough of them through videos and even in person to know this. Initially I presumed the attack, blamed on radical Muslims, was blowback for the horrific foreign policy of the US government. My belief that the attack was blowback has not diminished in the light of new evidence which suggests factions in the US government had prior knowledge of the attacks and not only did nothing to prevent them but complemented them to stage the catastrophe that would ensure the nation's sympathy for a Middle east confrontation. I stand by my belief today that the correct response to this criminal act would have been to find and prosecute the culprits, foreign and domestic, responsible for those acts of terrorism. The actual path chosen only reinforces my belief that the US government played a significant role.

In addition, video evidence of building 7's collapse was disturbing in that that building sustained no damage from the attacks - so why did it collapse (and in such a controlled manner). The plumes/puffs of smoke from the sides of the building appear similar to controlled demolition charges.

I'm 82 years old, a retired member of Radical Women, have an AA degree and many years independent research into social, historical and anthropological studies.
These towers and Bldg 7, as well as the Pentagon, were not destroyed by Airplanes crashing into them. From what I saw at the time the twin towers were hit there was a missile on the underside of the second plane that went through the building into the river. Not much evidence of an airplane hitting the Pentagon was found, nor were parts nor black boxes found at some sites. Also as the buildings came down there were explosions just on the floors below with flashes of explosions and puffs of smoke preceding the actual collapse. Debris cast outward as well.

After many hours of watching video and listening to video I cannot accept the explanation set forth by our government that the buildings fell at free-fall without assistance. Why was the evidence carried away without forensics? What were the noted explosions and spews of sparks from the Towers as they fell? How is it that the fire was not fueled to attain sufficient temperature to melt structural steel? With all that weight falling from such great height, am I to believe that all three buildings fell within their own footprint? What about the lack of ability of the new owner to insure due to asbestos. What about the convenient loss of records housed in WTC 7 to prosecute the Enron. What about the head of security that died in WTC7 that was at odds with someone in Washington.

The American people have not been provided, by our government, a scientifically sound explanation for how the buildings collapsed allegedly due to fires caused by jet fuel and office contents. Since the buildings were specifically over engineered to withstand multiple airplane impacts, and since jet fuel and office contents do it burn at temperatures high enough to cause steel to melt or soften sufficiently, the official reports are scientifically inaccurate and inadequate. Given the tragic loss of life, changes in public policy regarding civil liberties, real estate and insurance revenues attributable to the incident, and ongoing expensive wars with high collateral damage, the American people and the world deserve a scientific, fact based analysis and explanation. Only when the truth is held as the highest value, can justice begin to be served.

A great deal of evidence has suggested that this enormous tragedy was somehow part of a government conspiracy. I am a 51 year old builder welder and equipment operator who was currently a hydroelectric powerhouse operator. I've watched steel melt for 30 years.
As stated previously, I've been melting steel for decades and I've never seen cold steel as above and below the floors struck by the planes give up in that manner. Building 7 was hit by nothing but office fires, that doesn't fit the outcome.

The NIST report on the the World Trade Centers is sorely deficient. The facts as presented by NIST are clearly inaccurate and the resulting conclusions are therefore wrong. Many events observed by witnesses or recorded during and after the attacks were not considered. The deficiencies in the NIST report, and the unexplained matters related to the other events of that day, leave many mysteries that need definitive explanation.

While I believe that terrorists had a hand in the destruction, there are clearly other issues that have not been addressed, and frankly, that's shameful. This is not an attempt to subvert the truth about 9/11 or ignoring pertinent facts. This is a fact-based, level-headed look at the events of that horrific day and a petition to get to the bottom of it. With all of the money that's been spent already, and with all the changes our nation has had in regards to our liberty - the nation and the families of the victims of 9/11 deserve the truth. Please keep an open mind when reading this petition, and please look into it. Our nation deserves closure.
