On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

A practicing engineer for 3 decades and an avid student of engineering nearly my entire life, I have analyzed, designed and studied structures of all types, sizes and materials. I have not been directly involved with the design and construction of high rise steel frame, concrete core buildings. However, I have over the years designed steel framed facilities of every sort and have worked on a number of low rise steel and concrete office buildings. I have followed closely the official story of September 11, 2001 with a very keen interest as it pertains to my structural engineering profession.
Since shortly after 9/12/01, I have considered WTC 7 to be an intentional and very well executed controlled demolition. Every bit of evidence I have seen since that day has only solidified this belief. I withheld my opinion about the other WTC buildings until the 'official' building 7 story was released. I had decided that if the NIST report acknowledged the controlled demolition of WTC 7, I would grant latitude to the rest of the report. But it was all or nothing. That is the degree of my certainty about the fate of building 7. The official story of WTC 7 did not conclude it was a controlled demolition. Therefore, I find the entire 'official' NIST report subject to scrutiny. I assume that anything questionable in it is patently false until scientifically proven otherwise to my analytical satisfaction. This is the depth of distrust the building 7 story has created in me.

In my circles it is said that 9/11 is beyond a red herring, it is a double-illusion. In other words, there was an X marking the treasure, and the key was buried next to the chest. Do not be fooled. The evidence and heuristics upon witch your theories (soon to be accepted as fact) are based are not by accident. With the amount of intelligence in the project, the disparity (2 planes to destroy 3 buildings) is not by accident. The 3rd building was destroyed to eventually be presented as the ultimate evidence (as discovered by sensible and credible observers, i.e. engineers and architects) of a conspiracy. Just as the WTC towers were built to be destroyed (the eventual and ultimate conclusion of the civil investigation), the truth was built to be disproved. The power to destroy buildings is dwarfed by the power to destroy ideas - the pinnacle of ultimate power. As the saying goes, the end justifies the means.

I'm a person with eyes and a working brain. Like most I bought what I was sold after such a shocking event, but once I was compelled to investigate, I found that much of what the 'conspiracy theorists' were saying was based on physics and basic science. I initially faced resistance from my professor when I mentioned doing my paper on 9/11 so I had to write it in a way that focused on the psychological side of people who continue to believe the official story. I have been following AE911 for quite a long time, and am looking forward to the day when a new official investigation into the events takes place. Even though I am not an expert in the science of engineering or architecture, it is obvious to me, even as a layperson, that the collapse of building 7 could not have been due only to office fires. As Americans, we are on a dangerous slope if the government tells us this was the cause and we choose to believe it without question. The people of this country are this country, not the government officials. It is time for the public to be able to know what really happened on that fateful day.

Like most, I did not believe these theories at first. We all seem to have the official story pretty comfortably installed, and its hard to swallow anything contrary to this story. However, evidence-presenting documentaries, especially 'Experts Speak Out', present an all-but irrefutable case against the official story. The towers did not fall because of the plane impact alone. Who installed the explosives/ thermite and when? And why did the 9/11 commission and NIST avoid this information when it is clearly relevant? Why did the 9/11 commission avoid WTC 7 altogether? These inconsistencies and many more call for a re-investigation of the events of September 11th. The responsible parties should be tried to the full extent of the law.

Watching television coverage on the day that the Twin Towers, and especially WTC7 which was NOT struck by a plane, collapsed into their own footprints, the immediate question was 'how could such big buildings come down in this fashion? This has all the hallmarks of a controlled demolition.' Having flown in a wide variety of aircraft, including hands-on experience in a small plane (the type on which the alleged perpetrators were supposedly trained) it was evident that none of them could have had the skill to fly airliners into those buildings. Controlled demolition is the only possible answer, especially in the case of WTC 7.

9/11 iconography and the official version from Government and US media has been polluting the minds during almost 6 years. It was around 2007-08 when I first heard of some specialists talking about 9/11 in a Danish TV program in which they were affirming that the 3 WTC buildings collapses had been controlled demolition. Since then I am much concerned with the US population, victims, families of the victims and all the relatives of those 3000 innocents killed during and after that tragedy and I feel Americans need to shout and claim justice for all those who lost their lives, their husbands, wives... I would like the world to be safe and equitable for all, those who really committed that crime to be held and punished.

I have been working professionally in broadcast media, film and theatre since 1988 and have written three crime novels published by a major publishing house. For the past 10 years I have also worked extensively as a manuscript consultant, reading and analyzing several hundred novels, mainly crime stories.
If I had received the story of 9/11 in the form of a novel as a manuscript consultant, I would have refused it. The investigation is too straightforward and the solution to the mystery - 'who done it' - is way too easy, to the point of being ridiculous. Also, too many questions are left unanswered.

I am a firm believer in critical thinking, not conspiracy theories. I have a computer science degree and am a professional photographer and videographer. After reviewing the evidence the results are clear, foul play is at hand.
After years of reviewing evidence from videos, photographs, and testimonials the evidence makes it clear that the entirety of the claim that 4 'planes' caused the destruction is not possible. From the too small of a crater and lack of debris in Shanksville, the impossibility of hitting the 35 foot tall pentagon and lack of impact evidence on the building, to WTC 7 being demoed, to the free falling characteristics of WTC 1 & 2, and the airplane high jacking drills that happened to be performed on the same day as well as the confiscation and destruction on of video and audio evidence at the pentagon and air-traffic controllers, foul play is at hand. The people who were murdered deserve better, the first responders who are suffering from diseases and cancers deserve better, the American people deserve better!

Not much to say here. After the initial destruction the 'facts' failed to explain the results and I searched further for answers as to why. What I found is that the entire explanation by the our government and Executive Branch felt contrived and false. After viewing independent documentaries I came to the conclusion that it was an attack planned by members of our own government in order to establish control and power over the people and give the Executive Branch of our government the power to ignore the Constitution in the false name of National Security.

I have no relevant technical background but observed the events of 9/11 from Brooklyn Heights where I was visiting my daughter on her birthday. I am a Columbia University college graduate and, at the time of 9/11, had recently retired from a 35-year career as a film-maker and producer of television documentaries, mostly for public television.
