On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

The 911 events were clearly one of our times largest hidden crimes. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that the buildings on 911 were destroyed by controlled demolition. The progressive collapse of the buildings (all 3) faces little to no resistance as they fell. The theory used in the World Trade Centers 1 and 2 of the 'domino' affect has NEVER happened in any previous structure and when plugged into the software, shows that it can not happen in the way it did on that day. And then there is building 7, the smoking gun. Too bad they could not blame that one on the 'domino' affect. There is so much crime that occurred on that day, and the government of the USA covering it up and not carefully investigating it only indicates their guilt in that crime. - - - - I remember in October of 2003, a group of Civil Engineers walked into our University and forced us (made it a graduating requirement) to watch their presentation, which explained how the jet fuel was responsible for the collapse. Their explanation made no sense, and when they were hammered with questions, their lies or lack of knowledge leaked out their teeth.

I think it is important to review all the evidence and all the theories toward a more comprehensive explanation. 9/11 in itself was a sad day, but the aftermath has been even more tragic. We don't need a witch hunt, but we do need a better understanding of the facts to aid all of us to make prudent decisions for the future of the world.

The fact that both towers collapsed in their footprints, without any toppling of the upper floors, clearly indicates controlled demolition as the cause of the buildings' collapse, rather than structural failure. In my opinion, the collapse of the south tower (WTC 2) illustrates this idea most clearly. The airplane which hit this tower entered the south wall, and wreckage can be seen in the videos exiting the east wall. As a result, one would expect the damage to be worse near the southeast corner of the building, and any structural collapse should have occurred first at this corner. This should have resulted in the upper floors toppling toward the southeast. However, videos of the building's collapse clearly show it failing in a more or less symmetrical manner. - - - - In contrast, the north tower (WTC 1) was hit by the first airplane in the north wall, at almost a perpendicular angle to the north wall. And yet, the upper floors of this building leaned toward the south as the building collapsed. - - - - Likewise, there are two failure phenomena which cannot be explained by the pancake collapse theory. First, video of the collapse of the north tower shows the upper floors (approx. 10 stories) toppling toward the south. Yet, instead of falling to the ground relatively intact (as they should have done with no structure supporting them from beneath at that point, and nothing pressing down on them from above), they mysteriously disintegrated in mid-air. What forces (other than explosives) could have caused this? - - - - Second, a video exists which shows part of the inner core of the north tower still standing prior to the south tower's collapse. And yet, with only minor debris falling on it from the south tower, the remaining core structure disintegrates. Unless the video is faked (and I have seen no evidence of this), what would have caused the remaining core structure to collapse?

The appearance of the collapses and the lack of sufficient momentum to cause the rapid global collapse seen below the points of impact of Towers 1 and 2, imply that some type of planned demolition took place in those buildings. The collapse of WTC 7 was clearly a planned demolition.

While I understand the strategy of focusing on the WTC-7 building collapse, it is painfully obvious from just watching all three WTC buildings collapse that they were brought down by controlled demolition. There is absolutely no other possible explanation from a science and engineering point of view. Science has no agenda. The additional supporting evidence (squibs, thermate, eyewitness accounts, etc.) is very useful, but ultimately, not even needed to prove with 100% certainty that all three WTC buildings were destroyed by explosive demolition. A scientific/engineering analysis of video showing the collapse of the 3 WTC buildings is ultimately the only evidence required to prove with 100% certainty that all three WTC buildings were destroyed by explosive demolition. Again, science has no agenda.

I'm a design mechanical engineer working with steel and other materials. My designs are of dynamic (moving) mechanisms meant to work in the real world and, as such, must follow the laws of the physics of moving bodies. My work involves fabrication of mechanisms and other parts often made by heating and gas welding mild steel and 4130 (chrom-moly) steel.
The collapse of any of the three WTC towers that fell on 9/11/2001 in NYC could not have happened as quickly as they did or as neatly as they did, straight down into their own footprint if gravity provided the only collapse energy. This means that the conclusions drawn by the US government and NIST are incorrect. The event is critically important, perhaps the most important event in US recent history. We must get this right.

Physics was my favorite subject in high school, although I also enjoyed mathematics greatly. The collapse of WTC was used as justification for an illegal unprovoked attack upon the people of Iraq, and an assault upon freedom and liberty at home and abroad. Scott Ritter, U.S. Marine, following 9/11, predicted our invasion of Iraq, and has further predicted a planned invasion of Iran. The U.S. government needed a reason to enter Iraq, and I believe 9/11 was it. I have watched Mr. Richard Gage's compelling video How the Towers fell, and I believe after watching it that he is correct. Controlled demolition, an inside job. I studied physics as part of my electrical engineering degree. Since graduating I have studied physics on the side and always had an interest in the subject.
I understand that buildings can't fall at free fall speed if some of the gravitational potential energy is used up in blowing out windows, bending columns. Also, it seems to me that a building would tip over rather than fall into its own strongest supports. It seems logical, then, that the buildings were helped. I would be interested in seeing whether the columns from the core were bent and twisted or cut in pieces by the destruction.

The collapse of WTC 7 was an unambiguous and outstanding example of building implosion. It honestly baffles me how anyone could not see this. For the last 8 years I have been working for Fairfax County Public Schools supervising the contracting for infrastructure replacements (generators, light poles, electrical systems, etc.).
I find that people have an emotional reaction to the suggestion that controlled demolition brought down the 3 buildings, because of the implied involvement of elements within the government. This information conflicts with most people's desire to feel happy and optimistic, so that its acceptance is not easy.

After the planes hit, I thought: Well, that looks repairable. The twin towers stood up to the impacts well. The fires were smokey, but didn't look hot at all. I thought it was fishy when the towers collapsed, but eventually put it in the past. Until I saw one or two 9/11 videos and absorbed some facts, like the 9.5 seconds it took for the buildings to collapse (free fall speed); the molten steel in all 3 basements 6 weeks after 9/11; the way the lobbies were blown apart and the injuries people had from HIGH VELOCITY explosions. Jet fuel might make a low velocity explosion, but it wouldn't blow people's skin off. Building 7's steel beams were incredibly massive because of the electrical substation below it. They wouldn't allow it to collapse the way it did, without high explosives. We would've seen some unsymmetrical partial collapse somewhere among those 3 buildings, not 3 perfect collapses into their own footprints.

When I watched the towers fall on live TV, I thought the same thing - Planned Demolition. But then I heard the official reports and expert conclusions and thought, Well, I am not an expert in this field. They are. They must be right. I later began to hear rumors. I brushed them off as the ramblings of paranoid conspiracy nuts. I watched the PBS presentation on Why the Towers Fell and thought Well, that settles it then. Then I saw your web site. I viewed the Power Point Presentation. WOW! Now, I am blown away. I began having doubts about the official explanations for the collapse of the WTC towers soon after the explanations surfaced. The gnawing question that lingers in my mind is: how did the structures collapse in near-symmetrical fashion when the apparent precipitating causes were asymmetrical loading? The collapses defy common logic from an elementary structural engineering perspective. If you accept the argument that the fire protection covering was damaged to such an extent that structural members in the vicinity of the aircraft impacts were exposed to abnormally high temperatures, and if you accept the argument that the temperatures were high enough to weaken the structural framing, that still does not explain the relatively concentric nature of the failures.Neither of the official precipitating sources for the collapses, namely the burning aircraft, were centered within the floor plan of either tower; both aircraft were off-center when they finally came to rest within the respective buildings. This means that, given the foregoing assumptions, heating and weakening of the structural framing would have been constrained to the immediate vicinity of the burning aircraft. Heat transmission (diffusion) through the steel members would have been irregular owing to differing sizes of the individual members; the temperature in the members would have dropped off precipitously the further away the steel was from the flames'''just as the handle on a frying pan doesn''t get hot at the same rate as the pan on the burner of the stove. These factors would have resulted in the structural framing furthest from the flames remaining intact and possessing its full structural integrity, i.e., strength and stiffness.Structural steel is highly ductile; when subjected to compression and bending it buckles and bends long before reaching its tensile or shear capacity. Under the given assumptions, if the structure in the vicinity of either burning aircraft started to weaken, the superstructure above would begin to lean in the direction of the burning side. The opposite, intact, side of the building would resist toppling until the ultimate capacity of the structure was reached, at which point, a weak-link failure would undoubtedly occur. Nevertheless, the ultimate failure mode would have been a toppling of the upper floors to one side, much like the topping of a tall redwood tree, not a concentric, vertical collapse.For this reason alone, I rejected the official explanation for the collapse of the WTC towers out of hand. Subsequent evidence supporting controlled, explosive demolition of the two buildings is more in keeping with the observed collapse modalities and only serves to validate my initial misgivings as to the causes for the structural failures.

To me it has been obvious that controlled demolition and not plane crashes & fire were the causes of the WTC collapses since I saw the first TV reports on 9/11, 2001. The blatantly dishonest official story, the cover up and media efforts to hide the obvious are frankly very scary to me. A new and thorough investigation is absolutely needed, but it must be conducted by those outside the influence of the perpetrators. Perhaps this new investigation is a task for a foreign government, possibly Canada, or the UN.

The official explanation of the collapse of the World Trade Center towers makes no physical sense to me. I believe we need a new complete forensic investigation of the collapse that is not subject to political influence from any direction.

The buildings fell at or very near free fall speed and into their own foot prints! The second airplane went through the corner of the building, with most of the fuel burning outside the building. Furthermore, it did not hit the structural core. Yet it fell the same as the first tower!!! Impossible !!

We design and analyze buildings for the overturning stability to resist the lateral loads with the combination of the gravity loads. Any tall structure failure mode would be a fall over to its side. It is impossible that heavy steel columns could collapse at the fraction of the second within each story and subsequently at each floor bellow. We do not know the phenomenon of the high rise building to disintegrate internally faster than the free fall of the debris coming down from the top. The engineering science and the law of physics simply doesn't know such possibility. Only very sophisticated controlled demolition can achieve such result, eliminating the natural dampening effect of the structural framing huge mass that should normally stop the partial collapse. The pancake theory is a fallacy, telling us that more and more energy would be generated to accelerate the collapse. Where would such energy would be coming from ?

There are numerous unexplained phenomena that lead me to reject the official conspiracy theory advanced by the government. The collapses were framed by the media and official investigations as if there was little doubt in their conclusions on collapse. Taking a fresh look at the collapses 3 years ago woke up my rational thinking and education to the fact that the evidence and scientific numbers didn't add up in the disciplines of mechanics and materials. They made it easy for people to imagine that the initial events alone could actually cause the WTC 1, 2 and 7 to collapse as they did.

The unwillingness of the federal government to allow third-party examination of the 9/11 events and evidence raises many red flags in my mind. I find the inside job arguments, especially those pertaining to building 7, to be cogent.

I worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory on the MAGELLAN Venus Probe in Navigation Systems. I ran computer simulations of deep-space trajectories for orbit accuracy analysis studies. Additionally, I worked at Rockwell International Space Systems for two years on the Space Shuttle, in Ground Support Systems. I worked for five years at Ford Motor Company, Transmissions and Chassis Division in product engineering for the E4OD, the transmission that went into F-series and E-series trucks. While at Harvard, I worked at the Boston Heart Foundation, testing a prototype computerized blood pressure monitor. I created an educational 3D animation of the embryologic heart for Harvard Medical School's Center for Education Technology as well. I strongly doubt the official story on 9/11. I was at the WTC on Labor Day, 2001, and the event disturbs me greatly to this day. I linked the Loose Change website to my blog back in June of 2006 in order to spread its message to others, have seen Improbable Collapse, and the final cut of Loose Change. I have also seen the film, Zeitgeist, and have linked all of these important films to my widely-read blog. I have read a considerable amount of Dr. Stephen Jones' report, and went to see him back in February. By observation, I could never understand the 'convenient' vertical collapse at the base due to an extreme event at height. I was most concerned by the third tower collapse, totally unrelated! Why didn't other buildings fall? I have watched the documentaries and agree many questions remain unanswered.

It hugely concerns me that mass genocide can be committed by a government on it's own country; looks very much like a detonation to me, amazing how the buildings fall straight down, and you can even see charges blowing out the sides as the collapse occurs. Buildings designed to withstand the impact, and yet they fall? separate testimonies please!!! it must be hard to admit to the truth of killing that many people, but then i guess cover ups are a common political move.
