On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

It doesn't take a very experience engineer to see that the collapse of the WTC towers, in the manner that they did, was simply impossible. Unlike the old days, the baffling collapse was widely recorded. After the initial emotional had had time to calm down, most people should have started to question how something clearly impossible according to Newtonian science and all engineering principles had happened before our eyes. Shockingly, that's not the case. In the short attention span of the modern world, unscrupulous politicians no longer need to answer valid questions with matching intelligence. They can simply wave it off as conspiracy theory, and the case is closed. If a majority of the population is happy with their irresponsible labelling and devious tactic, their story, however incredible and ridiculous, becomes official. This is a heartbreaking and dangerous trend. Is the USA returning to Galileo's time in a massive scale? Most people, including learned ones, supported the Pope's planetary fantasy regardless of objective evidence. In the case of 9/11, it is particularly ironic because unlike 16th century Europe, knowledge and mass communication are at an unprecedented height today. If the ludicrous explanations in the official report stand, there should be other consequences. First, something should be done to all the buildings in the US (and the world?) erected based on similar principle as the WTC towers. Should the building codes be revised accordingly to prevent recurrence? Second, similar collapse has never been observed anywhere else. Are they implying that American structural engineering is the most backward on this planet? Third, in the light of such a fantastic structural failure, is any research work being done in the universities to understand the mechanics of a major phenomena which appears to defy everything Newton taught us? The engineering questions can make a very long list. However, we seem to have entered a new Dark Ages.

I attended a conference where a janitor from the WTC claimed he heard explosions in the basement prior to the collapses. I cannot fathom how WTC7 could collapse due to a fire.

I, like many others, didn't really concern myself too much with 9/11 until I discovered the truth about a year ago. I stumbled upon an A&E 9/11 Truth video about thermite that changed my world. After jumping into the research ocean with both feet, I firmly believe that the official explanation of what happened on 9/11 could not possibly be accurate. I believe, from looking at a lot of evidence (special thanks to your website), that all 3 WTC collapses were caused by controlled demolition. I believe the airplanes flown into WTC 1 & 2 were meant to be seen as a powerful enough catalyst to bring on the total collapse of the towers. Although flying an airplane into the side of a building can do some harm, I don't feel the heat or damage would be enough to bring the towers down the way they fell. As far as Building 7 goes, a straight-down, symmetrical collapse at free-fall speed into it's own footprint for no real apparent reason can, in my opinion, only mean one thing; they had the cream-of-the-crop demolition experts at their disposal.

I am retired and now have the time to review the data presented in support of an alternate conclusion. It is without a doubt that the data presented in support of a controlled demolition warrants a complete and transparent hearing. WTC 7 lacks any reasonable explanation or evidence to support a collapse at the rate of a free falling object. It is essential that the scientific community be allowed to analyze the data from the three buildings and prove conclusively that explosives were used.

45 deg angle cuts seen on columns (with firefighters walking around) were NOT made by oxy fuel or plasma arc torches (the common cutting methods for field cutting of structural steel). By conservation of linear momentum analysis, it is impossible for the WTC buildings to have fallen as quickly as they did. Minimum time to fall for towers, about 20 seconds, without credit for ANY structural strength in building. When considering the structural strength of the building, the collapse self arrests after 6 - 8 floors.

I remember watching the footage that morning on television and thinking what a coincidence the first building fell into its footprint and discussed with my roommates the odds of that phenomenon. One needs only to watch the collapses of the three WTC buildings with an open mind to conclude that they were brought down by controlled demolition. It is inconceivable that the neat rapid collapses could have been caused by airplane strikes and/or random fires. Failure due to these causes would have been gradual and asymmetrical. Steel structures, particularly the core column structures of WTC 1 and 2, are much too tough to disintegrate as these three buildings did. - - - - In addition to these technical observations, there is an overwhelming amount of additional evidence that discredits the official account of the events of September 11, 2001.

The following questions need to be addressed and answered, without the use of explosives, for the official story about 9/11 (as described in the 9/11 Commission Report, the FEMA report, and the NIST report) to be true. 1. The first question deals with the total collapse of World Trade Center Building 7. This 47-story skyscraper was not hit by an aircraft and would have been the tallest building in 33 of our states. Yet, it collapsed into a tidy rubble pile in 6.5 seconds in the exact manner of a controlled demolition at 5:20 PM on September 11, 2001. Please describe or explain a non-explosive scenario for the total collapse of this building that is in agreement with all the evidence known to date. 2. The second question deals with the Twin Towers (World Trade Center Buildings 1 and 2) and the 90,000 tons of metal decking, concrete floors, drywall, office furniture, and missing bodies that were pulverized in mid-air during the total collapse of these buildings. Please describe or explain a non-explosive scenario for the complete pulverization of all of these materials into dust in 10-13 seconds. 3. The third question deals with the free-fall speed of the collapse of all three buildings. Please describe a non-explosive scenario that explains the symmetrical collapse of each of these buildings straight down'through the path of greatest resistance'at an acceleration that is indistinguishable from free-fall acceleration in a vacuum. 4. The fourth question deals with the molten metal that was observed below Ground Zero by many people after the buildings collapsed. Please describe a non-explosive scenario that explains how Ground Zero remained an inferno and how molten metal remained fluid for a least six weeks after the collapse. 5. The fifth question deals with the steel framework in most modern skyscrapers including the Twin Towers and Building 7. This metal framework conducts heat rapidly, distributing it throughout the entire structure, which explains why no steel-framed skyscraper had ever collapsed due to fire prior to 9/11. Please therefore describe or explain how the massive framework of structural steel in the World Trade Center (which had a melting point of 2750 degrees Fahrenheit) could have been fatally weakened by localized jet-fuel fires (which reach a maximum temperature of 1800 degrees Fahrenheit) without the aid of explosives.

As an engineering student I was very early fascinated by the amount of focused effort, strictly controlled environment & energy that is required to melt & form steel.An aviation spirit fire does not come any way near with any of the above criteria to cause such a free fall collapse as witnessed at WTC1,2, & 7. The RB211 engines of a Boeing 757 should have left a much larger footprint at the Pentagon then was visible with the released film clips of the resulting explosion & fire etc..

I have worked within multiple disciplines of civil engineering - surveying, roadway design, materials testing, infrastructure design and most recently steel detailing.
In the shocking moments of the collapse, my first reaction to the building failure was that there was no way 2 separate steel buildings struck by a plane could possibly come straight down completely pulverized and then a third building nearly unscathed suffer an identical failure. I feel that the media effectively force-fed the population a misconstrued version of the story. With all the horror and fear and confirmation from experts and eventually war, even I began to replace my initial reaction and knowledge with the thought that stranger things have happened even in the world of engineering. But more so; what would the horrible truth implicate and how would a nation react? Let us not forget that even the Pentagon damage raises questions. Nonetheless; as a member of the engineering society whose duty is to the safety of the public, I believe that too many people have died and too many provocative questions have been dismissed for us to ignore the need for a genuine investigated.

From the moment the first building collapsed I knew it was a controlled demolition. We studied controlled demolition for building end of life and to engineer a building to fall into itself as three buildings did that day must be done carefully as to not topple the building one way or another. You can see the explosive charges being detonated on the floor the buildings were hit. Never before in America has even one building collapsed let alone three buildings in one day - World Trade Center I, World Trade Center II, and World Trade Center 7. World Trade Center 7 did not even have a plane hit into it and so it stands to reason that if World Trade Center 7 was controlled demolished so too were World Trade Center I, and World Trade Center II. Justice must be served and dignity restored to the Engineering profession. INVESTIGATE!

Without a new investigation, unencumbered by the Bush administration, we won't be able to put this to rest and move on. The investigation can either prove or refute the standing explanation, but until it is done with a new set of hands and in an environment we feel we can trust, we won't be able to move forward.

After 30 years of teaching in the Engineering and Science Dept at Virginia Tech, I am now retired but still involved in performing research and writing technical papers. I have been involved in low-speed aerodynamics specialized in the analysis of wind load on low-rise structures.
About two years ago after hearing and reading the work by David Ray Griffin, I decided to look into the history of the collapse of the World Trade center towers. It is clear to me that the official explanation including the evidence presented by the 9/11 Commission is inadequate to explain the collapse of the towers. I am convinced that a new independent commission with complete subpoena power should be installed to find out the complete truth of 9/11. If we don't the same thing may happen in the future.

The governmental reports are incomplete. This is a major disaster, which needs to be studied and learned from. The current reports dispute the laws of physics. Something more needs to be done.

I graduated in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. I took several courses in Structural Analysis and Material Engineering, but I don't have any work experience in the architecture field. I also have a short experience as a glider pilot.
I am convinced that a steel frame building has a very small probability to collapse in an event of fire. The WTC 7 collapse is not explainable without resorting to the controlled demolition. The symmetry and velocity of collapse, the dynamics of collapse in general point toward the controlled demolition as a cause of collapse. Also, certain footage fully qualify as forensic evidence. As for the airplane hitting the Pentagon, I support PilotsFor911Truth.org, and find it unplausible that the airplane 'vaporized' upon impact scattering so few debris and showing a narrow and deep penetration into the building.

There are enough questions about the official story that a truly INDEPENDENT investigation should be undertaken. As I watched TV that day and watched the buildings come down, these same questions troubled me. The symmetrical collapses just did not seem logical given high-rise construction techniques. Why would anyone purposely do this? Will we ever truly know the truth?

I have a Bachelors degree in civil engineering and a bachelors degree in fisheries management. I have three years experience in civil engineering and have been self-employed in residential remodeling construction for 36 years.
There are way too many unanswered questions, not the least of which is: how the hell did building 7 completely collapse neatly into its foundation with only a few fires burning on a few floors? And why was the debris which contained all of the forensic evidence hauled off and gotten rid of before independent investigation teams could do any analysis?
