PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

If these buildings fell as we are told they did at the speed they did, then I have wasted thousands of dollars and 9 years of education. Looking at hours of historical data on the design and construction of these buildings it would boggle the mind how that much steel disappeared. Also, unlike any other disaster, the crime scene was tampered with and the steel was shipped to China in the dead of night.

In 1993, Brian Thompson joined the local combination volunteer fire department, working beside Seattle firefighters and trained at the Washington State Fire Academy. Seven years later, he earned his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Marquette University, including a 12-month internship in fire protection engineering at a consultancy in downtown Chicago. For the next 2 years he continued to work as a volunteer firefighter. Thompson then attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) where he earned his Master's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering. While at WPI, he attended Professor Jonathan Barnett's building fire safety lecture on the first anniversary of 9-11, in which Barnett describing his involvement and experience as a FEMA investigator, and their findings. In an effort to answer these questions, I have researched various information and data compiled by others. Besides the hundreds of items of evidence converging inescapably on controlled demolition of all three collapsed WTC towers, the most obvious and indisputable items are 1. the total free fall and near free fall speed of descent of the three buildings - a physical impossibility even under the official NIST scenario, 2. the kinetic force pulverizing all of the concrete in the buildings and ejecting steel girders hundreds of feet UPWARD AND LATERALLY SO AS TO IMPALE ADJACENT BUILDINGS is totally inconsistent with gravitational collapse, but indicative of controlled demolition, and 3. the mass of evidence indicating the acoustic (explosions), kinetic, and thermal action of explosives by numerous recorded eyewitness testimonies at the scene on 9/11, coupled with at least three major independent studies disclosing residues of both unexploded and exploded thermite of an advanced particularly explosive formula available only to the government (military) apparently, in the dust covering the entire city of New York, besides the obvious raging thermite fires of thousands of degrees seen pouring molten iron from the sides of the WTC towers before collapse, and for many weeks following the collapse - totally inconsistent with the official NIST report, now repudiated by its Chief Counsel, John Farmer in his published book.

I concluded early on that the official explanation, even before the 9/11 Commission report, did not add up. The first couple of items that I found suspicious were 1) the pulverizing of the concrete and 2) the free fall of the Towers in less than 10 seconds. Since 2001 I have read many books on the subject starting with Painful Questions by Eric Hufschmid, The New Pearl Harbor by David Ray Griffin (I saw him speak in Berkeley a year ago with Peter Phillips) and Towers of Deception by Barrie Zwicker the latter of which included the CD The Great Conspiracy. From the latter book I agreed with the author (and Richard Gage whom I heard on KPFA today) that there needs to be another, more thorough, investigation of the events of 9/11/2001. To add to my list of suspicious items, I saw a public showing of a CD, in 2004, where the focus was on experienced criminal investigators and how they were making the case about the rapid shipment of the steel from the Towers to India and China and that act was destroying evidence at the scene of a crime. I worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center from 2001-2005. I was amazed how otherwise very savvy physicists and engineers didn't want to entertain the thought, or evidence, that the official explanation did not add up. They willingly accept the official pancake theory. I have my own theory about their willingness to accept the official explanation. Several years ago I came across a term called cognitive dissonance. The psychological description goes like this: the term describes an uncomfortable mental tension that arises from results from having two (or more) conflicting thoughts at the same time i.e. The Towers falling was a bad, terrible event and My government is here to help me and they couldn't have had anything to do with the destruction of the Towers.

In the capacity of co-owner of an internationally known architects office I have (co-) designed and coordinated various national and international projects. Being responsible from the conceptual stage to completion I have led project teams with colleagues from all over the world. In 2001 I was working on a project that included 2 identical 21-floor apartment towers in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. One morning I had a discussion with the Fire Department regarding the fire equipment in the buildings. The firemen insisted that the capacity of the water-pump had to be twice as much as designed. They reckoned with simultaneous fires in both towers. I considered their demand to be too much, because in my opinion the chance of a fire in both towers at the same time would be so negligible small that a more economic pump would be sufficient. The firemen held their position. It was September 11, around 10 AM GMT. Less than 4 hours before the tragedy at the WTC...

After sifting through a lot of nonsensical material about the events of 9/11, for me the website of AE911Truth provided the most trustworthy arguments, leaving me with only one conclusion: the official explanation is a lie. And because of this lie the 21st century has turned into a nightmare for the entire world. I hope the alarm clock of truth will wake up all of us soon.

In my opinion, the fires should have been controlled on the top floors that were impacted. The building came down within its own foot print which points to demolition explosives. Building 7 was not impacted by a place but was reduced to rubble from what I understand. Where were the CIA and FBI? If known by these organizations, why was there an apparent absence of security! Are there available or obtainable records from these organizations? Surely, some information was obtained prior to this whole incident! A plane crashed into the Pentagon, but did not destroy the whole building -- is it because of the extensive security maintained in and around the building? I am aware of Pentagon security because I took some classes in the Pentagon. In my opinion, in the absence of any explosives, many people should have survived.

The odds that three high-rise buildings would collapse in an identical, unprecedented fashion when each suffered a different form of damage are tremendously low. The NIST report on WTC 7 ignores evidence, omits testimony, and does not even consider the possibility of explosives, leading to an explanation for the collapse that is completely incompatible with what was witnessed with our own eyes. Further, the form in which WTC 1 & 2 collapsed (perfectly on their footprints) is impossible given the asymmetrical damage inflicted on the buildings. A new investigation from an independent, non-government affiliated organization should be commissioned.

Have taken many engineering classes and seen a lot of evidence and facts of the matter, no 'truth' told by the media adds up in any way shape or form. Also to many 'coincidences' such as removed bomb dogs etc., cannot be coincidences on so many accounts. Also why no plane parts were removed from the pentagon, the part that was hit, the targeted people and what they stood for in no coincidence, and the size of the hole made by the 'plane' non of which first the story that is jammed down our throats . Can you say, 'shots fired from the grassy knoll?' 3 towers falling due to 2 plans is as likely as a bullet curving, pausing in mid air and changing trajectory.

Even before my curiosity sparked regarding 9/11, I was in elementary school at the time when it happened, and I remember thinking that a plane COULD not have brought that huge building completely down. I was not there on 9/11 but as a kid watching it I never realized how important this was to our history because they do not teach about it in school. I have associates degrees in both architectural drafting and civil engineering. I am currently pursuing a bachelors degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering. I am in the first two years of my 4 year degree program. I'm attending Portland Community College now, and will transfer to Portland State to finish out my degree. I also work as a truss designer for a company that make wood trusses.
Even someone with my limited engineering knowledge can look at the destruction of those 3 buildings and see something isn't right about it. Through my work on structural design projects in school, I know about factors of safety, and how certain areas of the building (exit stairwells, elevator shafts etc.) are more rigid than other areas. Yet the buildings came down pretty much uniformly without any absorption of energy. 80 floors should be able to absorb 20 floors. Maybe that's just a theory but it's what I believe!

There are so many anomalies in the official story told to the public about the destruction of the 3 towers in the 9/11 attacks. There is no valid explanation for the molten steel which have been photographed. No explanation for the thermite also photographed. No valid explanation for how the towers fell at the speed of gravity, which I believe means that there was no resistance just like in a controlled demolition. The official story explains that the steel foundations should of remained after the collapse, but they didn't. Also the videos of the planes entering the buildings should be analyzed. The videos show that the light aluminum planes penetrated the steel structures building like a hot knife in butter. I personally like a lot of people find this fact hard to believe.

I have a bachelor's degree in hydrotechnical engineering and I'm about to start master's degree. I am a student so I don't have much of an experience in structural engineering, but I am able to perform structural calculations. Subject of my bachelor's degree thesis was to design a complete 15 meters wide dam structure with its closings, static and structural calculations.
From my point of view and the knowledge acquired during structural calculation lessons, concrete technology lessons and steel construction lessons, I am sure that official statement about the collapse of WTC towers is not accurate and that the event should be further investigated. I am also sure that the collapse of WTC Building 7 was not due to structural failure of one of its main columns. The collapse was far too symmetrical as for asymmetrical damage caused by failure of one of the steel main columns. Symmetrical collapse points to destruction of all the building's main columns simultaneously, which then points to use of controlled demolition.

Study mathematics at a masters level, even a small amount of research into the matter brings up countless unanswered questions and holes in the 9/11 commission report, it is unacceptable for the USA government to go on without reopening the investigation and addressing the key issues surrounding the events that occurred on September 11th 2001.
