On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

A rudimentary knowledge of physics and in particular Newton's laws of motion is all that is needed to realize that all three collapses could not have happened as we have been led to believe. It is simply not physically possible for a structure to collapse at near-free fall speed and, at the same time, pulverize all of its concrete and steel into tiny fragments; there is not sufficient energy available to achieve both results simultaneously. A collapse at near-free fall speed would require that there be absolutely no internal resistance within the structure to hinder its acceleration under gravity. Buildings such as these are designed for combinations of extreme loads that include earthquakes and hurricanes with a sizeable factor of safety thrown in. On a calm day, for buildings with lower than full occupancy, each of the WTC towers' strength capacity was quite likely five to six times higher than that required to support its actual applied loads. Each of the plane impacts were toward the tops of each of the Towers and, of course, the buildings get very considerably stronger toward the lower levels to support the loads applied from above. For this massively strong support structure to just crumble away at near-freefall speed would have required immense amounts of explosive energy; the 'collapses', quite simply, cannot have occurred any other way! There is no doubt that there were vast quantities of extra energy applied to the structures to achieve both rapid collapses and complete destruction of their components. This energy can realistically only have come from explosive charges. Anyone who views the videos can see that the Twin Towers exploded outward and upward during their collapse, quite simply impossible in a pure collapse scenario. The chances of the three buildings collapsing symmetrically into their own footprint, at near-free fall speed, by any other means than by controlled demolition, are so remote as to be beyond even consideration. 9/11 is an event that has changed world history and the lives of millions, mostly for the worst. I do not want to sit back and pretend it was one thing, when I know with 100% certainty it was something quite different. The greatest crime of all time must be subject to the best investigation of all time!

J'rg Schneider was appointed Professor of Structural Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) in 1967. He retired in October 1999. Born in Cologne in 1934, he graduated as a civil engineer from the ETHZ in 1958 and worked as a research assistant until 1962. For another four years he worked in industry, where he mainly dealt with the problems of precast and prestressed concrete. As a professor at ETHZ, his research was in the field of safety and reliability in building construction. For many years he was active in various Swiss standardization committees. He was Chairman of the Safety Expert Group of AlpTransit (EGSi) which supported the project management of these two new transalpine railway tunnels in matters of operational safety. He was a member of the Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS) and its President for five years. For many years he was one of the Vice Presidents of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). In 1991 he was elected as an individual member of the Swiss Academy of Technical Sciences (SATW). The University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (Boku) in Vienna awarded him an honorary doctorate degree in 1998 and, finally, he was elected honorary member of IABSE in 2002. In 2000, together with former employees and friends, he founded the engineering office Risk&Safety AG.
Clearly, I cannot believe that the George W. Bush administration willingly sacrificed 3000 lives. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. But I am convinced that the group around Bush gratefully used this terrible event to start the long-planned war on terror. However, there are so many inconsistencies in the official reports on the tragic event and so many gaps, especially in the collapse of WTC7, that only a new independent investigation can confirm or delete suspicions and remove existing ambiguities. I therefore fully agree with the request to have the events re-examined independently. Of course, even a new investigation will not bring people back to life.

I myself, through my formal training at Lewis University in the field of Aviation physics, understand the temperature at which jet fuel burns, as well as flash points and related. The reality is that it just isn't possible. Besides which this doesn't take into account the fact that these buildings fell at the rate of gravity, as if there was no internal supporting structure. Also, one must factor in the pyroclastic flow visible, evidence that the internal structure was subject to thermite detonation charges, visible evidence of apparent detonation squibs. All of this and how obvious, the collapse was in an orderly fashion. A professionally orchestrated demolition.

I want the truth of what happened regardless of what that is. There is nothing you can prove with hard evidence that could shock or surprise me in any way shape or form. I knew the moment I saw the first building fall. I knew what had to occur in order to drop a building of that size in its own footprint. Then when the second building fell all remaining doubts that I had were gone. I knew what had to happen to do this. I think that the removal of the evidence from the site without a thorough investigation by multitudes of scientists and engineers is obstruction of justice to say the least and criminal conspiracy to be more concise. I want to see all of the responsible parties who were complicit in any way to be brought to justice.

This is THE most important issue of the day. Without an understanding of the events of 9/11, there can be no understanding of the events of today. The obvious mishandling of the investigation, whether intended or unintended, must be reconciled with the current science and technology available to us and a full investigation must be launched immediately by an independent group of professionals. Furthermore this group of individuals must be allowed full and complete access to all available resources, including private citizens videos and testimonies of all first responders, and allowed this access via subpoena powers if need be. I would like to remind you of the size of the plane that so called crash landed in the field with no seats, body parts, or anything; same with the Pentagon and its plane that hit it. I studied music, computer science and finance at the college level. I worked in Los Angeles as a professional musician for 32 years, preparing music for recording sessions for top artists -- Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springseen, Celine Dion, and many others. My work involved listening to recordings, determining the notes being played, the instruments used, the technique and electronic settings, and then notating that on a score. In other words, careful analysis and precise representation of the musical elements, in order to help the producer and studio musicians efficiently understand the original recording and then improve on it.
In my opinion, the official story about what happened became suspect immediately. The Arabic flight manuals in the rental car in Portland, ME, the hijacker's passport found on the street near the WTC, and the clandestine removal of the WTC debris to Staten Island and then to Asia with NO forensic investigation are three examples of things that didn't make sense. I'll add the complete lack of military response during the hijackings. ' Then the rush to invade Afghanistan and then Iraq, without reasonable justification, and the promise that this would be a very long war. Later, videos online exposed dozens, even hundreds, of anomalies in the official story. ' A thorough and objective investigation has always been needed, in order to validate -- or invalidate -- the official story. For so many reasons, that investigation needs to happen as soon as possible.

There is no explanation given for molten steel/iron found on site, nor has the public been given explanation to the explosions leading the collapse of the towers. I work in the civil engineering field daily. I have read the entire study of building 7 University of Alaska Fairbanks and it has been proven that the story does not add up and we need a new independent investigation and those responsible need to be held accountable.
I am so tired of people excepting the official story with so many missing links. Many people know that there is a force so much greater than us at work but wont take it into consideration and prefer to pretend to be blind. The only way we can overcome such a force of evil is to ask questions and come together.
