The AE911Truth Petition
To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

After watching WTC 1 & 2 explode live on 9/11, and then being told they 'collapsed', I have spent the intervening years investigating the mechanics of each descent, refreshing my understanding in aspects of physics I had neglected since full-time education, and gathered enough tertiary information to not only be 100% confident in knowing the buildings were demolished, but confident enough to try and show others exactly 'why' what occurred could not be the result of a gravitational potential energy driven global collapse.

On September 11, 2001, I was working in Denver, Colorado. When I arrived at the office on the 4th floor, there was much agitation about a plane that had hit one of the twin Towers. Several in our work group went to an office on the 1st floor that had a TV and stood and watched as the 2nd plane flew into the other tower. As we stood and watched it hit, I was saying Don't fall, don't fall. I was struck with disbelief when it collapsed. Recently I have seen videos of the collapse of Building 7. It seems quite obvious that explosives were used. And, if this is true, it is most likely true that explosives brought down the twin towers.

I am simply appalled at the destruction of the three towers on 9/11. I can honestly say I had no idea there was a third building involved. The events of 9/11 are a large reason that I signed up to serve my country. Now, thanks to organizations such as AE, and knowing there was a third building destroyed, I see the plausibility that there is more to the story than what has been presented to us. I certainly concur that there should be an unbiased re-investigation. The videos and other public resources showing the collapse of WTC 7 do not suggest nor support collapse by common office fire, in my opinion.

Concern that the construction met code, especially in concrete and structural steel erection. Concern that there was not an acceptable oblative fire protection coating on the structural steel (such as Albi Durospray). Concerned about a purported CIA emergency diesel fuel tank in the building that did not meet code and may have been a contributory factor. Concerned that the building fire protection systems met code, were operable, and had been tested. Concern about actual fire loading of the building (allowable and actual combustible materials, when this was verified and how it was controlled).

It was the discovery of molten steel in the tub that made me realize there was something really wrong about the MSM coverage of the Towers. The discovery of intergranular melting has so far not been explained, officially. Building 7 collapse looks like a demolition to me, and if nothing else happens, this should be intensively re-investigated by an independent team of architects and engineers.

We need to investigate this issue in order to make sure that such a disaster will not happen again. The issue of Building #7 especially has never been fully explained and has been mostly ignored by the media. The few debris from building 1 and 2 wouldn't have been sufficient to cause building #7 to collapse into the ground the way it has. The official explanation that 'somebody' installed a tank of fuel in an office building fail to explain how the collapse would be possible - a fuel tank may cause fire etc. but not a collapse.

I watched the event on live TV. The loss of life and impact on society was staggering to say the least. However, the extent of the investigation did not match the magnitude of the event. The scientific method was not applied. All possibilities were not examined thoroughly. The final report was not peer reviewed. The final report should have been vetted by other independent scientists, engineers etc. Any scientific professional should be appalled by the blatant disregard for the code of ethics and conduct. It challenges the integrity of our profession as a whole. It is our responsibility as scientific professionals to stand up for the integrity of our profession. It is our duty to keep the public safe by using sound scientific and engineering practices. We owe it to ourselves and most of all we owe it to the public, especially the victims and their families, to conduct a detailed and thorough investigation into the destruction of WTC 1,2 and 7.

There are too many unanswered questions about how 9/11 happened and how the towers fell. WT7 is a classic example, reported as fallen, yet still standing. Being a pyrometallurgist with steelmaking experience, you realise that steel melts at 1500 odd degrees celsius. You need a lot of fuel and energy to reach those temperatures - exactly how did it get so hot?

Given an even basic understanding of high school physics, it's painfully obvious that high rises do not suddenly pulverise mid-air; fire-protected structural steel will not melt when exposed briefly to a pool of burning jet fuel; and virtually undamaged office buildings built to code simply cannot collapse symmetrically at near-free fall speed due to a few limited fires. Clearly, the 9/11 tragedy was not a physics-defying Hollywood blockbuster, despite what the official narrative desperately would like us to believe. It was a real-world event, with real people perishing, and with untold suffering and damage as a direct consequence. We owe it to the victims of that fateful day to expose the nonsensical reasoning (or lack of reasoning) that makes up the bulk of the NIST 'investigation' -- we would merely have to let the evidence and the laws of nature speak for themselves, that's all.

The NIST Bldg 7 report, NIST NCSTAR 1-9 concludes that Bldg. 7 collapsed due to ordinary building contents fires, not fires from leaking pressurized fuel lines or fuel from day tanks. in section 8.2 page 324. It also concedes in section 14.2 page 617 that this would be, the first known instance of the total collapse of a tall building primarily due to fires. In section 8.9.2 Hypothetical Blast Events on pages 356 & 357 it considers the possibility of explosive demolition and assumes a 9 lb. RDX charge would have been required to initiate collapse and estimates the resulting blast pressure would have broken many windows and been audible on recordings made at the time. It says that these events did not occur, thus excluding the possibility of explosive demolition. However, unburned particles of thermite were found in dust samples collected on 9/11. Thermite is not an explosive. It would burn thru steel, not blow it apart. It would not have produced a blast pressure wave of the sort produced by RDX. There is no mention of thermite in the NIST report, so it is incomplete. 9/11 Commission Chairman Kean, Vice Chairman Hamilton, Senior Counsel Farmer, Counsel Rundlet, & Member Roemer have stated variously that government witnesses lied to them, withheld evidence, and obstructed their investigation. Commission member Cleland resigned from the Commission stating that the investigation had been compromised.

Bottom line, I do not feel that a legitimate investigation was undertaken. I write more thorough failure analysis reports on a daily basis than what was fed to the public and I. There is no reason for this whatsoever. This is the elephant in the room, and the American public deserves, and pays, for better than this.

From my experience with aluminum and bronze alloys in the casting industry, I am aware of the difference between the melting temperatures of certain alloys such as aluminum and steel. At the same time, my experience with mechanical and physical testing of materials makes it difficult to believe the NIST conclusion that the collapse of WTC building 7 was attributed to the fire in that building alone. The basic fundementals of mechanics of materials and structural analysis of the steel columns makes the NIST conclusion difficult to accept based on scientific and engineering principals. A futher investigation using a scientific approach applied to the steel columns of this building was required in order to determine the actual contributing and root cause of the building collapse including the distorted condition of the salvaged steel from 09/11/2001.

From the moment I saw the towers fall I could not believe that the impact from a plane could cause those towers to fall straight down as they did. Being involved in the metal fabrication industry it was impossible for those towers to free fall as they did with little to no resistance. It was a perfect demolition job and not a result of pancaking floors - the building fell straight down as if the structural steel frame holding it all together was completely compromised. I am shocked that it has taken this long for the truth of what actually happened to begin to surface.

Structural engineering, during the housing boom, was the majority of my practice. I have designed hundreds of building structures. During college I took numerous structural engineering courses in addition to the normal requirements for a BS degree. I took: matrix analysis of structures, finite element programming, structural dynamics, advanced strength of materials, advanced concrete design.
As an experienced civil engineer, specializing in structural engineering, I do not believe that a local failure due to fire could cause the collapse that I witnessed on video (WTC 7). I find this very disturbing along with the evidence of explosive material in the dust. It is shocking to me that the evidence (the debris) was allowed to be destroyed.

It is obvious that WTC Bldg 7 was intentionally demolished. No degree of external damage could have simultaneously knocked out all internal piers, resulting in the free fall, pancaking vertical fall of Bldg 7. Bldg 7's fall was identical to many intentional building demolitions. Since Bldg 7's failure is suspect, all events of that day are suspect.

I have never seen a skyscraper implode due to fire. Most peculiar is the implosion of WT7, not damaged by an airplane. This building clearly shows evidence of a controlled demolition. Looks like all three buildings that collapsed were blown with explosives that were expertly placed and deployed, since the buildings were essentially free-falling into their footprints. You don't need to be an engineer or architect to see something is wrong with the way these buildings came down.

WTC Building 7's planned and triggered collapse (via controlled demolition) at approx. 5pm on the same day as the twin towers collapse is sufficient evidence that the twin towers themselves were also set up for controlled demolition. It is impossible to install explosives into WTC Tower 7 (on the same day) to then 'pull it' down.

In light of the fact that no steel (and concrete) structured building in history has ever completely collapsed due to fire, and observing the physics and other facts regarding the twin towers and bldg 7 collapses, one needs some factual engineering data to support the official story. The known facts and data suggest strongly that the official story is inadequate and erroneous to explain the collapses......but EXPLOSIVES do explain them.

Truth hurts, but heals faster. From day one I believed that these buildings was destroyed by controlled demolition techniques. If you don't know about how buildings are demolished, just look at all three buildings' collapse pattern. They collapsed the same way. What a coincidence? Different type of structures, designed by different architects and engineers, behaving the same way, and falling down as a free fall. We need the truth.

No building is designed to collapse like the twin towers, and that side building which wasn't even hit. The Oklahoma bombing destroyed more then half the building and it was still standing afterward. 911 seems like a Wall Street self-destruction plan with the approval of the government.

As a structural engineer, the symmetrical collapse of buildings subjected to asymmetrical damage immediately got my attention. That proved to be only the beginning of a long string of evidence showing conclusively that the only plausible explanation for the collapse of these buildings is controlled demolition. As a civilized society we own the survivors of the 3000 people who died the truth. The real perpetrators of this horrendous act need to be held accountable. Our society and the larger world needs to know the truth because of the major effect it has had on public policy.

Structural engineer having designed and calculated highrise structures, steel and reinforced concrete, in Europe and in the United States.
The fall of Building 7 can only have taken place due to controlled demolition. I have discussed the matter with many of my colleagues in the profession: all agree. I have yet to find an engineer or an architect that would disagree. This is not politics, this is engineering, period.
