On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

Having seen several videos over the years about 911, I thought there was sufficient doubt thrown on the official explanation to warrant further investigation. The way the towers fell (especially building 7), the speed of collapse, the claim that the fires were hot enough to melt steel, all seemed suspicious to me. Having just read David Ray Griffin's book on the collapse of world trade center building 7, I am convinced that the whole scenario needs to be revisited and scientifically investigated by a non-politicized panel of experts in all the applicable fields: structural engineering, explosives, physics, chemistry, etc.

I have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from West Virginia University. I graduated in 2007 and obtained my PE license in 2012. I have been working as a structural engineer for the same company since 2007. I design commercial, athletic, multi-family residential apartments and hotel low rise structures. The structures that I have designed include materials such as but not limited to: Steel, timber, concrete, masonry and light gauge.
After reading the NIST report on WTC building 7 it was clear that there was no way that building could fall at 'free fall' acceleration due to the failure of one column that bore a transfer beam. It's true that fire can cause steel to change it's structural yield point and maybe some of the connections could be compromised due to the fires but even if that whole column were to have vanished in thin air, the whole building would not have collapsed like it did.

I defer to the experts in the field. However, I do have a solid theoretical background in the fundamentals of engineering, physics and chemistry. My relevant education includes basic undergraduate courses in physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, materials science, psychology and neuropsychology. I have understanding and respect for the scientific method: the method of following the evidence wherever it may lead without prejudice or bias, to arrive at scientifically-derived conclusions, no matter how unpopular or politically incorrect they may or may not be. Science influenced by politics is not pure science; it is pseudo-science. Pure science MUST be apolitical, meaning independent of political influence at every stage. This is always a challenge for professionals, but an ideal worth striving for, both for the integrity of the discipline of science, and for the service of science to humanity.
I first learned of the twin tower collapses on one of the major TV news networks. My personal experience was one of surrealism. It felt more like a dream than reality. Immediately, the names that came to mind were Bin Laden, and Al Quada, and some time later I realized that I had been psychologically primed by the media with this information. I originally believed the story told by the mainstream media and government officials that very hot jet fuel fires caused the steel to melt and collapse. But I think subconsciously I had some reservations that the buildings could collapse at free-fall acceleration, and fall so neatly into their own footprints. I had seen demolition videos before, and the similarity was not lost on me. Many years went by and I began to see inside job bumper stickers, and internet images and stories, the first of which was the BBC story claiming that the Soloman Brothers Building (WTC 7) had collapsed even though it was allegedly visible in the background. After posting this on Facebook as a curiosity, I was contacted by a friend who had been following 9/11 truth for some time. I began my own informal research effort studying internet materials, tempered by my understanding of scientific phenomena and engineering principles. The more I researched, the more it became clear that the official story was not believable, and much of the 9/11 truth information was very plausible and realistically a much more likely explanation of events. There is much evidence to consider: eyewitness accounts of explosions, large volumes of molten metal observed streaming from at least one building both before and after its collapse, large quantities of residual heat, discovery of steel microspheres, discovery of unreacted thermite, the physics of free fall requiring zero vertical support and thus requiring ALL steel support columns to be severed simultaneously, no history of modern steel building collapses due to fire, WTC 1, 2 & 7 all collapsing in a similar manner despite differences in building structure and in structural damage, black smoke indicating a lack of oxygen and a relatively cool fire apparently not hot enough to melt steel in the volumes observed, the buildings being designed to withstand airplane impact of 10% higher kinetic energy, evidence that the government ignored warnings, and so much more... I believe the evidence supporting the case for controlled demolition is overwhelming. There are also compelling means, motive and opportunity for nefarious elements in government to carry out such an attack. At least one experimenter with videos on youtube has shown that a thermite charge placed on a steel bolt is an effective and efficient means of destruction, and offers a plausible explanation of events, and is consistent with the WTC evidence.

If the floors did pancake, then the basically hollow square floors outside of the exterior of the core would have sheared off and collapsed leaving the core standing. As an analogy, the core is the 'trunk' of the tower, giving bending resistance (stiffness) and vertical support. There is no reason to believe that collapsing floors surrounding it would affect it.

I'm not an expert in any sense, but i have heard you experts discussing this matter and it was logical. I believe the experts involved are neutral in the way they are forming their evidence. None of the facts are made up. No one is trying or forcing to connect the dots, they connects themselves all on their own. I'm glad there are people out there who do see, what the media and government said about what we saw, don't match up. Although I'm not an expert, I would like to join this movement and support the experts that are proving this in a scientific and logical matter.
I was watching the building collapse live on TV and something about it looked weird. I was impressed that it fell down so cleanly. I was a freshman in high school at that point so I didn't think about the implications of what I thought when I saw the buildings fall. Later I will come to find out the logical reason for that. That I was controlled demolition. When I watched all video clips out there about the people explaining the way the buildings fell. It made more sense than what I watched on the History Channel about 9/11 and the pancake theory. At one point during that documentary one of the chief architect said himself that these buildings could withstand an impact from an airplane and still stand. I'm very sad about all the innocent people who died in this tragedy. And I feel it is our moral duty to find out the truth!

I doubt very much the official story regarding the collapse of the twin towers of the World Trade Center, and especially the collapse of WTC Building 7. I seriously doubt that jet fuel could melt, and effectively disintegrate, the steel support columns, causing a complete collapse of the support structure and reducing it to powder. I believe it was a controlled demolition. As for WTC 7, the collapse of that building is even more intriguing, since it was not hit, and it did not collapse until later that day. There are a lot more very questionable events surrounding this incident which beg for some answers!

I am an International Business student and this is my third year. I studied architecture for a period of 3 months.
From the day this happened, which I remember like it was yesterday, I knew something is just not right, and for some reason I thought fire could not melt or weakened all the still frame of these buildings and also if it did, the whole building would not turn into ashes, all three buildings, so, something else was involved. The government or whoever was behind this just killed these innocent people and also effected so many lives. For example, the day that 9/11 happened and the U.S. government announced that it was a terrorist attack and they announced Iran, my birth place, is one of the terrorist countries, my life in Vancouver and my high school just turned upside down. I am not the biggest victim here, but it even effected me, and in my opinion it affected all the people. Whoever did this, whoever is behind this, they're just murderers, they should be found and they should be punished. People should wake up and they should see who the real terrorist is. They should not be afraid of me traveling to their country, they should be afraid of whom in their own country, their leaders and they should be afraid of whom they cheer for and whom they support.

I am a student of the Czech Technical University in Prague with specialization on civil engineering. I have already passed the subject such as steel structures and concrete structures, so I thing I have at least a little idea of how these constructions behave.
According to me, the materials which were shown in the video prove that the WTC buildings and their constructions could not loose the strength just because of the fire and the fall of the upper part of the building. Some kind of explosives must have been used to cause such a destruction we all could see in the film.

The idea that the gravitational potential energy from the top section of let alone one but both twin towers was enough to overcome the compressive strength of the center column and bring down each of these towers to piles of rubble is preposterous. Just the idea that the top section would break off from the main column is highly suspicious. The top of one tower looked like it tilted about 15 degrees before collapsing, I can't imagine the centrifugal force that had to be overcome to keep the top section from just falling off the top of the building. That angular force would have also decreased the vertical force, a force so great it crushed a virtually solid column of concrete and steel at free-fall speed. So a plane hit the building and the building fell ' hello is anyone home?

I am simply a New Yorker who went down to Ground Zero after the attacks and got hooked up with the salvation army working for project rehabilitate Manhattan food business What I did was show up every morning and rotate our frozen food for our chefs to use and during lunch i drove around the city in a delivery van and purchase food from local business at full price. I was there for nine months until they closed site #1 down.
I will keep it simple if the Towers truly fell because of an terroristic attack I highly doubt that they would fall perfectly upon itself plus when I first got to ground zero the last few remaining steel support beams all and the same even 45 degree angle cut and looked perfectly melted not jagged like I thought it would have looked.

Building 7 is the key to lie. The official word is a small fire took down a structure of this size. In the official documents explaining the collapse they state that key structural elements are on floors 5-7 so therefore that must be were the fires were of course none of this is documented or has any backing, just stated.

I own and operate a small trucking company. I also enjoy architecture, I have been very skeptical about what happened on 9/11 every since it happened and the official story only adds to the debate. I don't think for a moment that they just collapsed from fire. I hope that we will not have to wait 40-50 years to find out it was a False flag operation.
I watched the collapse the day it happened, I knew then something was wrong...no way WTC 1,2 and 7 should have collapsed.

I am 20 years old and a student at Wright College. I plan on attending where I am currently for a little while, and once I acquire as many credits as I can, I'll transfer to a four year university. Currently I'm interested in law, but that isn't final by any means. I do probably lean that way, because currently I see that as the best arena to attempt to undo some of the injustices wrought on the American people.
I think that it's obvious from the plain watching of the 3 building collapses to see that something is fishy. Logically would buildings collapse straight into themselves if not aided by anything? Don't objects follow the path of least resistance? Wouldn't it make more sense for the buildings to topple to a side? Why was so much pulverized and destroyed for what was just a collapse? In what physical plane can the pancake effect occur in (because it definitely can't be ours)? I know these are just basic observations that don't tough on the empirical data, but shouldn't most people have at least some of these initial reactions upon seeing the buildings destroyed. The insertion of the official story though, did work as a tool to squash that curious voice. That all aside. I believe all that factual evidence shows that the established story holds no credibility. I think it's great that recently Japanese parliament members have questioned the official story as well.

Simply put I think that the buildings were intentionally destroyed, and that explosives were used to ensure their destruction. It is obvious as to what was intended for the gain of those complicit in these actions. The truth is the only thing that is important!

Plain common sense tells me the way those buildings fell is not consistent with the manner in which they were hit. Also the lack of response by Norad and the failure of anyone in the administration to follow standard procedure in intercepting the airliners deserves to be thoroughly examined and given good reasons as to why this was the case.

I am a student of biology and business. I have followed discussion of 9/11 and agree completely that an independent investigation is mandatory for the truth to be brought to the surface.
I feel that the way in which the building collapses is not congruent with the type of cause stated in 9/11 reports. It does not seem plausible that an out side explosion would cause a building to free fall. To me this suggests an internal implosion and was clearly not caused by planes crashing in to surrounding buildings. We need these questions answered.

I cannot believe that I have allowed myself to be conditioned to believe the official explanation of the events of 9/11 for so long. Thanks to all for presenting the facts so professionally and comprehensively. I don't know how anyone can view the truth and not question our Government's version. I fear that there is something much more sinister going on than 9/11. As horrifying as 9/11 was, I think it's only the beginning. If we don't do something about it now, I think we'll wake up one day to something much worse.
