PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

J'rg Schneider was appointed Professor of Structural Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) in 1967. He retired in October 1999. Born in Cologne in 1934, he graduated as a civil engineer from the ETHZ in 1958 and worked as a research assistant until 1962. For another four years he worked in industry, where he mainly dealt with the problems of precast and prestressed concrete. As a professor at ETHZ, his research was in the field of safety and reliability in building construction. For many years he was active in various Swiss standardization committees. He was Chairman of the Safety Expert Group of AlpTransit (EGSi) which supported the project management of these two new transalpine railway tunnels in matters of operational safety. He was a member of the Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS) and its President for five years. For many years he was one of the Vice Presidents of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). In 1991 he was elected as an individual member of the Swiss Academy of Technical Sciences (SATW). The University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (Boku) in Vienna awarded him an honorary doctorate degree in 1998 and, finally, he was elected honorary member of IABSE in 2002. In 2000, together with former employees and friends, he founded the engineering office Risk&Safety AG.
Clearly, I cannot believe that the George W. Bush administration willingly sacrificed 3000 lives. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. But I am convinced that the group around Bush gratefully used this terrible event to start the long-planned war on terror. However, there are so many inconsistencies in the official reports on the tragic event and so many gaps, especially in the collapse of WTC7, that only a new independent investigation can confirm or delete suspicions and remove existing ambiguities. I therefore fully agree with the request to have the events re-examined independently. Of course, even a new investigation will not bring people back to life.

I defer to the experts in the field. However, I do have a solid theoretical background in the fundamentals of engineering, physics and chemistry. My relevant education includes basic undergraduate courses in physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, materials science, psychology and neuropsychology. I have understanding and respect for the scientific method: the method of following the evidence wherever it may lead without prejudice or bias, to arrive at scientifically-derived conclusions, no matter how unpopular or politically incorrect they may or may not be. Science influenced by politics is not pure science; it is pseudo-science. Pure science MUST be apolitical, meaning independent of political influence at every stage. This is always a challenge for professionals, but an ideal worth striving for, both for the integrity of the discipline of science, and for the service of science to humanity.
I first learned of the twin tower collapses on one of the major TV news networks. My personal experience was one of surrealism. It felt more like a dream than reality. Immediately, the names that came to mind were Bin Laden, and Al Quada, and some time later I realized that I had been psychologically primed by the media with this information. I originally believed the story told by the mainstream media and government officials that very hot jet fuel fires caused the steel to melt and collapse. But I think subconsciously I had some reservations that the buildings could collapse at free-fall acceleration, and fall so neatly into their own footprints. I had seen demolition videos before, and the similarity was not lost on me. Many years went by and I began to see inside job bumper stickers, and internet images and stories, the first of which was the BBC story claiming that the Soloman Brothers Building (WTC 7) had collapsed even though it was allegedly visible in the background. After posting this on Facebook as a curiosity, I was contacted by a friend who had been following 9/11 truth for some time. I began my own informal research effort studying internet materials, tempered by my understanding of scientific phenomena and engineering principles. The more I researched, the more it became clear that the official story was not believable, and much of the 9/11 truth information was very plausible and realistically a much more likely explanation of events. There is much evidence to consider: eyewitness accounts of explosions, large volumes of molten metal observed streaming from at least one building both before and after its collapse, large quantities of residual heat, discovery of steel microspheres, discovery of unreacted thermite, the physics of free fall requiring zero vertical support and thus requiring ALL steel support columns to be severed simultaneously, no history of modern steel building collapses due to fire, WTC 1, 2 & 7 all collapsing in a similar manner despite differences in building structure and in structural damage, black smoke indicating a lack of oxygen and a relatively cool fire apparently not hot enough to melt steel in the volumes observed, the buildings being designed to withstand airplane impact of 10% higher kinetic energy, evidence that the government ignored warnings, and so much more... I believe the evidence supporting the case for controlled demolition is overwhelming. There are also compelling means, motive and opportunity for nefarious elements in government to carry out such an attack. At least one experimenter with videos on youtube has shown that a thermite charge placed on a steel bolt is an effective and efficient means of destruction, and offers a plausible explanation of events, and is consistent with the WTC evidence.

Ever since viewing this event on T.V, I had complete doubt that a plane could do that much damage to three buildings. Especially to building 7 which was not even hit by a plane. I have watched many demolition videos and this seems all too similar. There was no way that those buildings could fall within 10 seconds without the use of explosives. Within 24 hours of 9/11 I had an article in my in-box that told me that the FBI was being housed in a hotel, in advance of the incident; suspicions were aroused within 24 hours of the tragedy. Truth always arises, and there is absolutely nothing hidden that shall not some day come to the surface. Was this a political ploy? I've read much to support that it was something that was pre-arranged by the government. Do I believe it? As I watched the events that day I was in utter shock at what I was seeing. It kind of struck me as odd that both towers fell in nearly the same manner, but when I saw the WTC 7 fall, coming straight down like an elevator going down into the ground, I knew immediately that that building had been rigged with some kind of charges. I've seen too many shows about imploding buildings and I once watched an implosion in person. One of those they showed on TV didn't go off correctly and when the building met with the resistance of those floors that were still there, it fell to the side and did not come straight down as planned. So even if a fire could have weakened the steel in a few areas, it would have been impossible for the whole building to come down in perfect symmetry as WTC 7 did. It doesn't take much to understand how strongly these steel buildings are made. If they can take a powerful, direct hit from a large passenger jet, as these did, they certainly aren't going to crumble into small, manageable pieces under their own weight. Or as WTC 7 did, fall into it's own perfect footprint, in the way a demolition expert strives for.

There is no validated explanation for the collapse of WTC 7. WTC1 and WTC 2 also are suspect due to the speed and manner of collapse. The concentrated jets of debris shooting out of windows 30 floors below the collapse front cannot be explained by the pressure wave hypothesis involving a progressive collapse. There is no real evidence linking Al-Qaeda to 9/11. The audiotapes from the cockpit have not been released. There has not been an adequate explanation as to why the planes were not intercepted. Something is being covered up and we want to know what it is.

I am a 26 year old accountant currently working for Deloitte & Touche LLP and going through the necessary courses towards obtaining a Chartered Accountant designation. I have 2.5 years in the public accounting sector providing assurance and advisory services to medium and large privately and publicly traded corporations. I also was a student in McMaster University's Engineering Physics & Management program for 2.5 years and I have a fairly well developed understanding of Newtonian physics, among other sciences.
The collapse of WTC 1, 2 and 7 all defy naturalistic explanations. No collapse in history that was driven by natural forces has ever produced the characteristics seen on 9/11. Their symmetry, speed and totality fly in the face of every explanation offered by any supposed authority. The discovery by Dr. Steven Jones of iron micro-spheres indicating the use of an incendiary device, as well as what appears to be unreacted thermite, is extremely valuable evidence that has gone completely ignored. The current explanation offered by NIST is both incomplete and internally inconsistent. To this day, nothing approaching a complete forensic investigation has ever been performed. The public deserves better.

I knew even as I watched the building fall that morning that they looked quite odd falling completely into themselves. It is so clear that it is scientifically impossible for the Towers to have gone down the way the media and the government said they did. I knew the very day it happened.
