PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I graduated from Columbia in 1974 and went on to practice architecture and civil engineering for 8 years. I am now a computer specialist in integration, CAD and software engineering.
By 9/12 I was convinced that there was something fishy about the collapse of the WTC. I learned about progressive collapse from my engineering professors at Columbia, and I found it hard to imagine that the twin towers could have failed in that way. They were specifically designed to resist impact and load applied by the collision of a Boeing 707 jet. The buildings appeared to have been destroyed by an engineered demolition. When I articulated my suspicions, however, I was met with derision. I have continued, however, in my conviction that the buildings were intentionally destroyed.

The first thing I point out to people who ask me about it is the resistance paradox. The WTC towers' top portions fell through the steel and concrete of the lower portions about as fast as pieces from them were falling through the adjacent air. Assuming a collapse, this would indicate the lower portions provided little more resistance to the tops than air would. Yet the top portions disintegrated while falling, which assuming a collapse would indicate the lower portions offered very high resistance. This is an irresolvable paradox, material cannot simultaneously present high and low resistance. Demolition on the other hand explain both phenomena. There are many aspects of the events which to me indicate demolition. The points presented on this site about both the main towers and WTC7 are excellent.

To me it appeared to be caused by a controlled demolition and not a fire, and skepticism has led me to look into more detail about the events of 9/11. I think there is so much good information available about it that is not in step with the official explanations it warrants an independent and scientific inquiry.

After reviewing the data presented by the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth Organization and through my independent assessment of the data I have reviewed, and based on my 40+ years of professional experience, I have concluded that it would be nearly impossible for any of the principal World Trade Center Towers to collapse in the manner or in the recorded time frame as a result of any fire or explosion caused solely by the impact of terrorist-guided aircraft alone. Braced steel frame buildings simply don't collapse in a symmetrical manner with a uniform plume of debris in 102 or 56 minutes respectively with modern structural design standards and state-of-the-art life-safety systems which must be continuously inspected by local building inspectors based on ever increasing performance standards centered on human survival.

I believe the people have the right to know the truth. As a building designer, I want to know for certain that that building will not fail and cost people their lives. Being lied to about how buildings fail causes all kinds of problems. We want the truth. The architect who designed the WTC deserves to be justified by assuring us that the WTC was a sound and safe building. The only thing that could destroy that building would have been bombs, because they destroy everything, don't they? We should also ask who benefitted from this financially, politically, and the like. We need to prosecute those who are responsible so they don't do this again.

They could not have done a demo job that well on the spur of the moment on 9/11. I figure it would take a week of planning and planting explosives, not hours in the midst of chaos. I was at Michigan Tech about to graduate when this happened and it sent shock waves through my career and life. Our college in spring 2001 had the best turnout of companies hiring ever, and fall 2001 after 911 we had the worst ever turnout. At the day, 9/11, I was on a film set doing a commercial for Volvo, together with the other members of the team. We where interrupted by the chocking news. As the shots where displayed on the television screens, some of us, including me found it odd that the buildings fell as they did. That was our first impression. After that we started questioning how on earth those planes could even come close to those buildings. All of us directly got suspicions towards the CIA and the US government. It's to easy we said. Then most of the people in the team started to feel sorry for the Americans, and a patriotism grew among everyone, just as if them self where Americans. I was a bit chocked of that reaction and felt a bit of a shame since I didn't feel the same. Then I asked myself, how do I feel when other things happen in the world in other places. I feel the same. A sad and angry feeling but not the same feeling that my team mates felt for America and I know they are not feeling the same way for things taking place in other parts of the world. That made me realize how Americanized the Swedish people had become. Some even thought that the 3rd world war had begun. And quickly people bought the official story that the US government gave. I never did, and many of my friends did'nt either. I noticed that people didn't dare or had the spirit and energy to question and that made me even more suspicious and sad. And since I know how to build up a structure dramatically the whole after play with the wars and the blaming of terrorism was just a natural part of the US story. This made me participate in demonstrations in Stockholm, Barcelona and Madrid against the war in Iraq. The shots of the falling buildings last until today in my mind as mysterious and when the two films about 9/11 came out, they just provoked me since they only focus on the planes so I could not see them. As a final word for being a non professional, the buildings seems to explode and I have seen a numerous explosions on the set, even small scale building explosions, where wood peaces are scattered and flying towards the camera. I have seen controlled fires in metal barrels outside, even fires inside the storage for garbage in trucks for garbage picking and those trucks are not even harmed. One more thing which might be out of the track, why are CNN+ in Spain since 1999. They entered Spanish media under president Jos' Mar'a Aznar (1996-2004) who lead his troops to Iraq together with Bush even though 90% of the people where strongly against it. Then came the Madrid bombings. Thank you for the information that your work has presented and I feel more confident now that maybe one day the truth will come forward in full scale.

It seems impossible to me that the buildings could have been destroyed so utterly by the planes that struck them. The supporting steel superstructure cannot have been decimated by the planes alone. Burning fuel does not cut steel beams in straight lines at a 45 degree angle!

I have no expertise in engineering or architecture, I am just an average citizen who has a lot of trouble believing what our government has told us surrounding the events of 9/11. I would like to see this case reopened and investigated in the manner it should have been from day one. I applaud all of the professionals who speak out with there doubts as to the conclusions of the 9/11 commission reports findings, and I am proud to lend my support to the cause for finding truth.
In my opinion after looking over hundreds of accounts from varied reliable sources in fields of technical, engineering and military, I find it impossible to believe that the twin towers that were actually hit by planes fell in the manner that they did, let alone building 7 that in comparison received minimal damage, yet managed to fall in the same way. I also feel that the investigation following this horrific event did not give a clear enough picture in answering the questions that still linger over how these buildings disintegrated into dust the way that they did. We need more than what we have been told to believe that this was a terrorist attack emanating from outside our own borders.

There is absolutely no possible way that fire caused the collapse of three buildings. Kerosene cannot melt steel. I'm a full-time student (formerly of San Francisco Statue University, now in Pasadena City College) and self-supporting. I've lived on my own since I was 18 years old. I am a hip hop artist, among other things, and have for 17 years lived in California.
I am concerned, first and foremost, that there were not better air defenses in place to stop these planes from hitting these buildings in the first place. As for WTC Building 7, it is quite obvious that further investigation is necessary to provide evidence for destruction by fire, if nothing else. Secondly, it is disturbing to find that many officials and representatives of numerous companies lied about the events of that day. For example, the military officials who gave misinformation in regards to the timing of communication between the FAA and NORAD, among others, which has been proven to be misinformation by the severely lacking 9/11 commission's report (the only part of the report that doesn't seem based in fantasy).
