PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

This and the steel framed structure failure requires better explanation than the official version. Even the monument girder in Jersey City shows evidence of extreme heat (heat compatible with incendiary type demolition explosives). There are too many unanswered questions.

I have built, for example, an 11 story building in Madrid, using concrete (floors -2 to +6) and steel frame (floors +7 to +9) structures. I'm a professional engineer with over 40 years of experience. I'm currently licensed in three states: Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. My education and experience relate to the properties of materials used in building port, harbor, and bridge infrastructure. As a licensed civil engineer I have been trained and tested in competency related to civil engineering including structural design and the behavior of building materials. My formal education in engineering and related fields was at the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. I was trained in arctic engineering in Alaska, where I worked on the Alaska pipeline project for Bechtel. My job included monitoring controlled demolition work to create a cut at the summit of the Brooks Range, in preparation for road and pipeline construction.
Like others who have commented I also have a huge question about how WTC building 7 came down later in the afternoon of September 11th. By visual observation, all three buildings exhibited free fall characteristics very similar to characteristics of a controlled demolition. Reviewing literature that described the structural members I have serious doubts regarding the free fall collapse of the interior columns of WTC 1 and 2 buildings over a distance of close to 100 floors as a result of a limited amount of jet fuel. It seems more likely that the majority of fuel burned quickly near the point of impact, consistent with other aircraft crashes. The huge fireball and black smoke observed shortly after the impact suggests the majority of fuel burned quickly and the fire became oxygen depleted. There was likely not enough fuel reaching the lower floors to cause a complete collapse of either building. There were reports of nanothermite in the dust, of molten steel in the basement, and of local fires burning for a week or more after the event. There were reports of multiple and sequential explosions. Some explosions were even reported prior to the impact of the aircraft. These facts all raise more questions about how the buildings may have actually been brought down.

I have been questioning the official story almost since 9/11 took place. Even to someone non-technical, the official explanations for the collapses of the WTC buildings are obviously completely inaccurate. No modern steel building has ever collapsed in that fashion before (due to fire), and it does not make sense that they should. The official story is so obviously full of holes, that it requires a massive amount of ignoring the evidence to even come close to convincing yourself that it is true.

I have studied and looked at every aspect of the collapse. It has left more questions than answers. There was to many indications that more happened that day than we were told.
There are to many holes in the scientific break down involving the collapse. There is video from the U.K. that shows a reporter claiming building 7 had collapsed when you can clearly see it in the background and with a time/date stamp from the network. The residue from the explosive called Thermite found in the dust at the Trade Center site should be enough reason to open a new and independent investigation alone. That and the fact that the 9/11 commission was hand picked by the administration. Also I would like to see an inquiry into the strange construction on vacant floors in the Trade Centers prior to 9/11.

I would say the biggest question in my mind is how the heck did building 7 collapse! it wasn't hit by a plane !, and it has a classic crimp when collapsing. Also it is physically impossible for jet fuel to melt the steel structure inside the twin towers! there had to have been explosives inside the towers to cut the structures, hence why there were molten lava pools in the debris area.

I have been a student of national and international occurrences since I learned about geography and personalities by paying attention to the front section of the three newspapers published in Detroit, MI, during WW2.
The destruction that took place on September 11, 2001 generated official accounts that left significant questions unanswered. I have yet to read of official accounts that resolved educated concerns with details of the separate incidents on that day.

I worked for a number of years as a concrete finisher in and around London during the late eighties early nineties on many buildings that had a similar design to the Trade Center including the Canary Wharf Tower.
One question that keeps coming to mind about that day is how did the lobby of the North Tower receive the damage that is evident in the Naudet bros film? Also, many videos including the Naudet bros film, and one entitled what we saw from you tube, clearly show damage in one corner of the North Tower that appears to rise up from the ground floor to approx 20-25' on the outside ot the Towers. Are we to believe that flaming jet fuel descended all the way from the impact zone down to the lobby? Also, how would this have caused the damage evident in the aforementioned video clips? To my recollection, I have never seen any discussion about this damage. I first saw this in 2002 and have never really come across any discussion about this damage to the corner of the building. I am amazed that no-one has ever mentioned this in all the films that have been made, i.e Loose Change, Ripple Effect, and your own excellent film. Quite clearly, from the video evidence stated earlier, all the windows appear to be blown out for at least 20 floors in this corner of the North Tower. Please watch the above mentioned videos to see what I mean. I am not sure which face of the North Tower I am referring to but if one watches these videos you will see exactly what I mean. How could this happen?? Also, here in England we have seen a program entitled the 9/11 hotel and in that film a guy who was staying at the Marriot describes how he found a lady horribly burned and he helped her to an ambulance. Photos do exist of this man helping this lady by covering her with his jacket and with police help he ran with her to an ambulance. I think her name was Jenny Anne and he is an Irish guy who by a horrible twist of fate witnessed the death of his sister and her daughter who were in the jet that hit the 1st tower. My question is this how did this lady come to be burned so badly? Down at ground level??? Also, in the same film the lady who was working in the Marriott at reception describes how she heard the piano reverberating as if someone had dropped the piano. Could this piano be moved enough in the first impact to actually resonate? I seriously doubt it. Surely the evidence for underground explosions is irrefutable. The people there that day know what they felt and heard. William Rodriguez, in my opinion is telling the truth, that there were underground explosions, possibly truck bombs?? And, if that is so how were they able to get into this apparently secure building?? Also, I have been to a site called flickr, a photo sharing site and if one visits there and enters 9/11 you will come across a photo of a mail truck totally destroyed outside one of the trade center buildings. This photo has a comment attached to it where the taker of the photo describes how on that day a secret service employee tried to seize his camera after he photographed this truck. If one presumes this guy is telling the truth why would they not want this truck photographed?? Now, onto the collapses: like I stated earlier, I used to be a concrete finisher in and around London and I am quite familiar with the properties of concrete floors and columns, steel decking etc. There is just no way that all the floors would be large floor spans etc been for want of a better word discontinued or do buildings still get built this way?? Have new buildings been revised to allow for the possibility of collapses pancaking down, and I use the word pancaking very reluctantly?...I could probably type all night about all the inconsistencies of that day but I won't because I'm sure everyone knows about all the flaws in the official story. I mainly wanted to bring to someones attention the details of the damage to the North Tower corner that I have seen in the aforementioned videos as stated earlier. How did this damage get there? Can anyone explain this to me??? One thing that has troubled me very much is why did so many people jump?? I have heard the theories of the poor people not being able to breathe etc but what about the sides of the building that the wind was blowing into?? As far as I can tell there are reports of people jumping from all sides of both buildings. Lastly, in the Naudet bros film when the chiefs are in the lobby discussing ways to deal with the disaster I am sure you can here a broadcast on one of the firefighter's radios from upstairs saying they could put the fire out.

Slow the fall down in your brain (imagine) every one step of progression to a molecular level. every step of the way the material below would be slowing down the fall (resisting)(impossible to free fall). And the material above would be trying to find a way around the material below. And not every area of the building would weaken the same amount at the same time (Impossible for a tall skinny building to come straight down).
