To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

Building Seven's collapse was equally unbelievable. The minor fires in that building could not bring the building down symmetrically in its footprint. No fire ever before that day brought down a steel-framed highrise. The University of Alaska report is in perfect alignment with the expectations of professionals in the building industry.

I'm grateful to AE911 truth for upholding the principles of evidence based science that are consistent with those I encountered during my early undergraduate studies and training. Their questions are my questions and I believe that the institutional ethic is undermined by its implicit endorsement of the destruction of valuable data sets, its dismissal of independent inquiry and its bad faith deployment of institutionalised science to subvert the scientific method. The negligence of a single professional, be they medical, scientific or otherwise can result in a custodial sentence. The negligence of a generation of professionals may result in the loss of faith in evidence-based engineering as a tool for good. As such I feel that AE911Truth better represent me in what I was trained to be 'science' than the institutions do at present. I trust this situation will resolve itself eventually to the benefit of all as it always does, hence my membership.

The official stories are just impossible to believe, the exact same failure/collapse on three buildings, only two having been even struck/damaged. Falling in free fall into their own footprint (path of greatest resistance!). In fact, in Structural Engineering classes at Montana State, the scenario of an airliner hitting one of the WTC Towers was actually studied, (and determined to be safe). The professor discussed that this scenario was actually considered in the design of the towers, and they were designed to withstand it.

I have experience operating a 180 ton electric arc furnace melting steel and for the past 10 years working at an oil refinery. So I know what the temperature of steel must be to melt and the temperature at which fuel burns.

Why was their molten metal days and weeks after this event ? Buildings only free fall into their self's under CONTROLLED conditions. Building #7 was the entrance to the rabbit hole for me. The first time I saw the building collapse I knew it was not caused by fire. No way. I have worked with iron, copper, aluminum and tungsten thermite. I have developed ignition systems, delivery systems and welding with it. I know what thermite looks like when it burns. I know what the molten material looks like and that is exactly what was shown pouring out the side of the tower on 9/11. Thermite does not happen by accident and jet fuel and office fires do not melt steel!

As for most of us, I can clearly remember exactly where I was and what I was doing on the moment the 9/11 attacks occurred. Well, on that day I was teaching English to Italian students at the University of Sassari in Italy; after considering the evidence you present, I am now practically ashamed to admit that on that day I defended the position of the United States as a victim of an unparalleled terrorist attack. Yet, as you so pertinently point out, the evidence was being shown to us all on the major news networks, right before our very eyes that very day, and around the world.
It a seems so incredible, but the scientific facts do indeed speak for themselves; we all must keep needling at our respective authorities to get to the very bottom of this story.

I have seen many documentaries on the subject. Also the latest samples collected by Steven Jones containing the highly refined thermite. I am a bit frustrated at the fact the only media to touch the subject has been Free Speech TV. on a limited basis. The notion of this being caused by creep. The official conclusion is such BS. There is no real engineering professional in the world that can support that story. I have to take the motto one mind at a time to not get discouraged.

More than by the building collapse, I started to believe that the official history of 9/11 is false because of the high degree of difficulty of the flight manoeuvrings to impact the airplanes without help of electronic or optical guiding systems almost perfectly in the horizontal center of the towers (the second was 'drifting to the right, a little'), later the impact of United Airlines 93 with only a hole in the ground, no significant wreckage, no suitcases, no bodies. Than the maybe even more difficult flight route of American Airlines 77 to the Pentagon, destroying with precision nothing else than the department which stored highly delicate and scandalous financial information at point to explode. And the optical inspection of the crash site: nothing makes you think that here has crashed a Boeing 757, it seems like the impact of an cruise missile. Al this can't be true, and then the WTC 7, the BBC (I still resist to believe they talked about the 'collapse' before it really happened), the history of the 'hijackers', the books of Koran left in a strip-bar and found in other places, their suitcase, the flight-manuals, the history of the flight traffic controller responsible for the New York flights, and on and on and on'. About the collapse, I'm not an architect, but if you critical professionals say it was a controlled demolition (to me it seems it is), having in mind all the other incoherent circumstances, than I decide to support you. I remember to have read that on 28th July 1945 a B-25 bomber crashed in the 97th floor of the Empire State Building because of loss of orientation in dense fog without causing any known structural damage to the building. For me the demonstration of the cardboard boxes was the main reason to get involved. I believe that there were thousands of tons of material ready to stop the collapse. But the actual nearly free fall speed collapse looks very much man made to me.

I think the evidence presented by the group is startling. It seems to be well researched, thought out, and compelling. I've been to previous 9-11 truth meetings, and found many of the speakers and attendees motivated by emotion and any contrary evidence, regardless of whether it's rational. It's important to be objective. It saddens me that so many details have been lost between 9/11 and now. I think it's important for the sake of future generations that we don't allow these important details to go down the memory hole, and I believe an independent investigation should be requested and not take a permanent back seat to our current economic woes.
