PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

In addition, the collapse of building 7 is not sufficiently explained. It is my opinion that the simple collapse of steel columns supporting the upper portion of the two buildings (purportedly due to weakening by fire) and the subsequent fall of the upper section of each building would not generate the massive, immediate expulsion of debris in all directions from the buildings, and at the rate and distance from the buildings as was observed and recorded.

Fire on a few floors does not remove all structural support of a 110 story structure. Below the fire was unaffected steel and concrete with a design strength to support five times the weight of the building. Any collapse would have stopped immediately at a few floors. Instead we are told to believe 110 floors of structure magically and instantaneously turned into butter allowing the free fall of the building. Collapse cannot cause the concrete of the whole building to turn to dust. There would be a pile of concrete rubble in the building foot print or nearby. Instead 90% of buildings 1 & 2 are spread all over lower Manhattan as fine dust. This is blatantly not believable!

I'm a professional engineer with over 40 years of experience. I'm currently licensed in three states: Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. My education and experience relate to the properties of materials used in building port, harbor, and bridge infrastructure. As a licensed civil engineer I have been trained and tested in competency related to civil engineering including structural design and the behavior of building materials. My formal education in engineering and related fields was at the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. I was trained in arctic engineering in Alaska, where I worked on the Alaska pipeline project for Bechtel. My job included monitoring controlled demolition work to create a cut at the summit of the Brooks Range, in preparation for road and pipeline construction.
Like others who have commented I also have a huge question about how WTC building 7 came down later in the afternoon of September 11th. By visual observation, all three buildings exhibited free fall characteristics very similar to characteristics of a controlled demolition. Reviewing literature that described the structural members I have serious doubts regarding the free fall collapse of the interior columns of WTC 1 and 2 buildings over a distance of close to 100 floors as a result of a limited amount of jet fuel. It seems more likely that the majority of fuel burned quickly near the point of impact, consistent with other aircraft crashes. The huge fireball and black smoke observed shortly after the impact suggests the majority of fuel burned quickly and the fire became oxygen depleted. There was likely not enough fuel reaching the lower floors to cause a complete collapse of either building. There were reports of nanothermite in the dust, of molten steel in the basement, and of local fires burning for a week or more after the event. There were reports of multiple and sequential explosions. Some explosions were even reported prior to the impact of the aircraft. These facts all raise more questions about how the buildings may have actually been brought down.

I was an iron worker when I was 18. I helped to build structural steel buildings. I had two years of college in the biological sciences. The last nine years I've been tied to my computer reading everything coming my way on 911. I believe my eyes.
My understanding of the design of the towers is that you basically have two steel screens that have been built into tubes. One inside the other. If you took a pencil and pierced those screens that would not cause a collapse. The heat from the jet fuel lasted at its peak only a few minutes. Only a controlled demolition could do what we saw that day.

Since day one, I did not believe a Jet Fuel fire created enough heat to melt steel. Also, the planes passenger list never did accurately list the hijacker's names. The original story was they bought tickets using their own names several months before the flight. Their names were never listed on the official manifest. That raised a red flag. A day after the shocking 9-11 event, I felt these aircraft alone could not possible have destroyed the towers. Sure, a hole in the wall, fire and a few damaged floors....Not so convinced that all the fuel got into the building either...Shorty after, many experts stated their doubts regarding the collapse of the steel structure do to the extreme heat only to reverse their opinion a couple of days later. Having seen some amazing (precision) controlled building demo's on TV, I had no doubt, this was one of them! Single engine pilots be able to fly these jets??? May be the jets were rigged to fly them remotely... Zeitgeist CD reinforced my reasoning. Interestingly, most people really believe the official version and many asked me for proof to the contrary...

I do not believe the 'official' version of this event. Dr. Stephen Jones, Richard Gage and many others over these years have amply exhibited their professional conclusions based on available data and their own experiments, plus comparisons with other fires in high rises. In Las Vegas, especially, but in many other cities as well, millions upon millions of dollars have been spent for the 'Implosian' of buildings. This is a highly technical undertaking requiring knowledge of exact moment points in order to achieve the desired result. Tower number 7 of the WTC did not receive a single piece of debris from the fall of either tower and Tower No. 6 was 'between' Tower No.1 and Tower No. 2. The 47 story building 'Imploded' almost eight hours later. It was claimed that it burned all of this time 'unchecked' until it collapsed. This is beyond belief. It is difficult enough to believe that Tower No's 4, 5, & 6 burned so 'out of control', they would collapse. Two planes hit two towers, both of which should have withstood the impact. All seven towers collapsed. Either the Chief of Maintenance or the Chief Custodian was on duty in the basement of Tower No. 2. He claimed to have heard 'numerous' smaller explosions prior to feeling the building being struck by the plane. This is similar to the effects one would notice if a building had been wired for pre-determined ignition of charges. Many highly qualified and experienced engineers worked at 'justifying' how the buildings collapsed. I honestly believe they were 'forcing' some issuses in an attempt to make the 'means' satisfy the 'end result.' I beg their forgeiveness if I am wrong but all of their explaination is not completely acceptable to many other engineers.
