PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. I managed large gun programs for the military. I have experience in root cause analyses when the unanticipated occurs.
Here is my synopsis of the situation: 1. The 3 World Trade Center buildings that collapsed were designed to withstand commercial jet impact and the subsequent fire. Unless the design margins were compromised, they should not have collapsed. 2. If the design margins were compromised, and they were reason for the collapse, the buildings would still not have collapsed in the extremely controlled fashion that was observed. Thus, design margin does not appear to be the cause of the collapses. 3. In searching for a plausible cause, the evidence first pointed to explosives. Evidence of explosions was provided by the numerous people that reported hearing them, by the evidence of high velocity radial trajectories of debris, and by the degree to which the debris field was pulverized. 4. The evidence then pointed to demolition-class explosives. Evidence of demolition-class explosives was provided by people seeing molten steel in a fire that should have been at least 1000 F below steel's melting point, by the debris field being permeated by bb-sized steel-based spheres that shouldn't have been 'vaporized', by the presence of elements unique to a demolition-class explosive in the debris field, and by the fact that all 3 buildings 'free fell' to the ground as if their infrastructure had suddenly disappeared (as is typical of demolition). 5. The evidence finally pointed to the use of military-grade demolition-class explosives. 6. If the conclusions from this evidence prove true, and to date they have not been refuted, the group of people responsible for the destruction of the WTC buildings remain at large, and the threat that destroyed the WTC buildings remains. 7. Unfortunately, the official root cause report does not account for the use of explosives at all. 8. For the United States to hold its own in a rough world, the reality of the situation must be irrefutably determined, and appropriate corrective actions taken. The current official report may be right, incompetent, or a cover-up. If the current official report does not withstand challenge, and the demolition claim stands, corrective actions must be taken against the people responsible, as well as the people that authored the root cause report, either for incompetence or for a willful cover-up. To do otherwise is to encourage a repeat performance.

It's hard for me to accept the collapse of building #7, as this building sustained no Structural damage and that the building came down due to an office fire. Technically and structurally this is impossible for a steel structure to come down by a fire. Have been designing building structures for 35 years both in the UK and the Middle East with local UK based consultancies and with a large project management company in Saudi Arabia. For the last 14 years, I have owned and run a structural design consultancy in Edinburgh, UK specializing in steel framed, masonry and timber building designs.
From the outset, watching the collapses on television, it was clear there were very serious questions to be asked about how three robust steel framed buildings collapsed into their own footprints, one of which had not been struck by an aircraft and had been subject to a relatively minor fire. Given the evidence from multiple witnesses regarding explosions in the buildings before and after the planes struck, the stand-down of the US air force, the admission by the owner of the buildings of the decision to demolish Building 7, the immediate removal of structural evidence, the high temperature fires in the basements, the evidence for explosive residues in dust and obvious unwillingness of US authorities to offer a reasoned and full engineering explanation for the collapses. Since 911, the two relevant UK engineering institutions have failed to provide an analysis or to offer advice to structural engineers on progressive collapse and fire protection in steel framed buildings in complete contrast to previous serious building collapses. In my opinion, the official report on the collapses, or any other that I am aware of was entirely inadequate and should be reopened to fully investigate the reasons for these building failures and offer advice and guidance on limiting risk in future, and existing, structures.

Obviously the melted metal and the fact that they also pulled Building #7 , are a dead giveaway that something stinks here, but the greatest glaring falsehood to me was how a passenger airline was supposed to have crashed into the Pentagon. I've worked on components of those jet engines and when assembled they weigh 5+ tons, and they want me to believe that these large pieces of bolted together titanium would have evaporated, when I know that they might have been discolored and bent but they 1) would have been largely intact, and 2) they would have made larger marks in the building wall or ground than the fuselage . And where was all the fuel? The worst thing that one man can do to another is to lie to him and if there is no truth how can there be an American way?

I didn't see it until 3 years ago, I flat out refused to believe it so I wouldn't watch and stayed ignorant. But you can't watch the footage of Building 7 come down with any intellectual honesty and not recognize that fires can not do that to a steel framed structure and the glass blowing out at the columns is just icing on the cake as to what actually happened.

From nearly the first day, I always felt something was missing in the official story given to the public about the events on 9/11/2001. By analyzing the 9/11 events (film documents) in relation to natural laws and to common sense it would be irrational to believe in the official conspiracy theory. The destruction of the twin towers and building 7 are the root cause for the deaths of an untold number of innocent people. These deaths were not 'accidents', these people were murdered! The deaths resulting from the ensuing wars are victims of the same crime that took place on 09/11/2001. The number of dead is well over one million and will continue to grow, in my opinion, regardless of any new government organized investigation. There most certainly is reason for concern about conflicts of interest within all of the three branches of the federal government anyway. Because there is such a great potential there were after the fact accomplices to the crimes of 09/11, a demand for citizen oversight of any selection process for new investigations. If our system of government does not have an acceptable solution, we the people must some how create and empower some new authority to see us through the great crisis now threatening this nation.

The way all 3 skyscrapers fell on 9/11/01 is not consistent with the reasoning that the NIST provided as a result of their investigation. The pancake theory does not explain why all 3 towers fell at or very close to free fall speed. Additionally, photos taken at the site show cleanly cut steel supports. It is inconclusive whether those clean cut support beams occurred before or as a result of the clean up effort.
