PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I currently work as a design engineer at a top aerospace engine manufacturer specializing in CAE tool development including finite element analysis.
I have an analytical as well as gut-level feel for how structures should behave under loads. WTC1 and 2 buildings were designed with redundant load bearing members for the explicit purpose to be able to absorb impacts from airliners as this was one of many design considerations at the time. The buildings should each have remained intact for longer than was witnessed below their impact zones - if a dynamic failure were to occure with upper levels impacting the lower levels, each structural framework in each floor below would offer some resistance, significantly slowing the speed of collapse compared against a free-falling body. The rapid speed of descent as seen in footage indicates no resistance in the members meaning something more was going on in the levels below the impact and fires. The clouds of pulvarized concrete billowing out during the collapse also raises flags. The amount of the dust generated is extreme and its pyroclastic behaivor indicates it had been superheated which is not readily explained in a simple collapse scenario. When I first saw the collapse of the towers on September 11, I was just out of high school and had basically no engineering background. In my journal that day I noted how it looked like the buildings were being demolished like the old casinos in Las Vegas. Concerning the complete casino-style collapse of Building 7, this was simply overt and is beyond suspicious. I hadn't seen the videos of Building 7 until several years later, but anyone who watches these videos is hard-pressed to explain the complete symmetrical collapse of the building with the top descending at near free-fall speed as a result of fires only.

We do every type of structural welding (including thermite), all types of pipe specializing in purge process, all types of alloy welding, and are generally well versed in all types of welding with the exception of underwater processes.
When I watched the news and watched the buildings fall, I turned to my wife and said "that was an implosion." We do work on high rises and are very aware of how well those beams are protected. Also, there is not enough heat produced by burning jet fuel to cause any kind of steel failure. Some sag maybe but that would be the extent of it. No building collapses into it's own footprint without demolition.

From my experience with aluminum and bronze alloys in the casting industry, I am aware of the difference between the melting temperatures of certain alloys such as aluminum and steel. At the same time, my experience with mechanical and physical testing of materials makes it difficult to believe the NIST conclusion that the collapse of WTC building 7 was attributed to the fire in that building alone. The basic fundementals of mechanics of materials and structural analysis of the steel columns makes the NIST conclusion difficult to accept based on scientific and engineering principals. A futher investigation using a scientific approach applied to the steel columns of this building was required in order to determine the actual contributing and root cause of the building collapse including the distorted condition of the salvaged steel from 09/11/2001.

When I first watched the first tower fall live on TV, before knowing what would occur in the ensuing seconds, I remember saying after the top started to collapse that Well ... it looks like we will have an 80 story tower! I could not fathom the total collapse of they building. As the top of the building began to fall and be unsupported, the 'supporting forces' (or resisting forces)of the lower floors would have made the upper floors continue their tipping until it fell over and off the remaining floors of the building. The total collapse was unfathomable. With the top floors shed, I would have expected the wrecked interface area to extent only a few floors below where the break was. Ultimately I accepted the given wisdom of those who said it was fire and flawed construction that led to the building's failures. However, over the ensuing years after viewing discussions of the collapse by skeptics of the 'official' story, I began being more aware of the arguments. The information presented in the Stephen Jones DVD and the first Richard Gage DVD provide the opportunity to see the reality of the physics of the collapse. Upon further reflection of the laws of physics and engineering principles, I truly believe that even if fire and the trauma to the structure from the collisions were sufficient to instigate the collapse, that it could not propagate very far. The collapse of WTC-7 is wholy unlike any collapse scenario that I can envision ... without it being intentionally destroyed. The building did not wobble, lean, crumble, sag or show signs of failure until it collapsed. Unimaginable! I believe that a new independent investigation is needed.

I am sixty years old with a High School education and I have no technical education or experience that would relate directly to building engineering and or architecture.
I am very concerned about how the three buildings on 9/11 fell, and the aftermath of their destruction and loss of life (both then and now). For me it does not seem possible that three building with significantly different damaged areas, could all fall straight down. In my own observations of the collapses from online video, it's clear that the lower undamaged structures were passed through as if they were not there. Where is the significant slowing of fall that common-sense says should occur from the super-strong, lower, undamaged portions of the buildings? We don't see it, and I have found no plausible explanation why. We need deeper investigation, so that such surprising rates of fall do not ever happen again.

I started residential construction at the age of 22 and worked in that field for more than 7 years in California with fairly high earthquake standards.
It is clearly a controlled demolition. Even a wood frame building would not suffer total collapse under the same conditions. If anything the upper damaged part would fall and the fire could be easily extinguished.

After seeing a number of other interviews with first responders ie: firefighters/police personnel regarding their comments that they heard explosions before the buildings began to collapse. I'm a digital painter, a graphic designer and web designer. My husband and I work with the Feral Cat Coalition in San Diego. We've made homeless animals our cause for the last seven years. The suffering is immense and 100% the result of human irresponsibility. We work to alleviate the suffering with trap/neuter/return and by feeding and supplying medical help to various colonies in our neighborhood.
I was at a software conference in Boston when it happened. I came home to San Diego by hitching a hide in the back seat of a car of another attendee. Crammed between golf clubs and suitcases...it was four days of adventure. I saw the country though. What a gorgeous country we have. The skies were empty. So strange. We kept passing the same cars going west. As time passed, I saw what Bush/Cheney were doing to America. Doubt crept in. I opposed their wars, especially Iraq. I began to question. Bush refused to investigate 9/11. Then he appointed a whitewash team. Then he wouldn't testify under oath, and only with Cheney present. I read Clark's book. It really bothered me. I found the Loose Change videos. That was my turning point. I didn't believe anything the govt. said about 9/11 after that. It has become apparent to me it was their new Pearl Harbor and they murdered 3,000 plus citizens to control America. It saddens me deeply that our govt. is so corrupt and no justice has been done. Over 1,000,000 Iraqis are dead. I don't know how many Afghanis. 5,000 of our soldiers now? And endless casualties; lives destroyed and damaged forever. For what? To control the flow of oil. So that a few become mega-wealthy. This is NOT what America should be. I'm sorry. You said non-political but I can't see this event any other way. I pray that someday enough people will wake up to change this injustice. I don't care how old they are, the people behind 9/11 should be brought to justice.

I am a medical lab technician who once worked alongside a professionally employed demolition expert in Victoria, British Columbia.
After seeing a lot of footage of the twin towers and Building 7 especially, I held grave reservations that those buildings could collapse so perfectly. It seemed to defy all reason.
