PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

The official explanation of office fires cannot be true. If such fires could bring down a steel skyscraper, would anyone ever feel safe in one, or set foot in one again? The destruction of evidence and lack of a real forensic investigation make me very suspicious. Somebody got away with murder. Who? and Why? I support and applaud the efforts of ae911truth.org and believe that once Americans learn the facts presented here they will demand an independent forensic investigation into this matter - probably the single most important event in the history of the USA.

this space is too limited to list all of the structural issues and laws of physics/nature that have been violated by the official story, let alone go into the non-physics related issues (ie motivations, who was involved, etc). however i will state as follows: i often ask people 'how many buildings came down on 911 in New York?'. when the answer is (almost always) 2, i then ask them 'why the did not know about the 47 story building, which was not hit by a plane, yet it collapsed approx. 7 hours after the twin towers'. Even with this fact, they still cannot accept that the media has withheld the truth from them and it seems that they wish to remain (willfully) ignorant. As many others have stated, this is the definitive smoking gun. It is impossible for an unoccupied building, which only has 2 very small fires, to collapse. 2 points which i have not seen raised to date: If the pancake theory is correct, then as each floor truss disconnects from the steel RHS columns (both the ~47 core columns and the ~200 perimeter columns), it would mean that the columns should have remained in one complete length (ie over 100m/300 feet long) and as the building was demolished, oops I mean collapsed due to planes hitting them, the columns should have at least remained erect (especially the core) for that height. Or they should have fallen onto the adjoining buildings, at 100m long, causing major damage (in a plan view leaving a shell type of appearance, or like holding a bunch of straws vertically and letting them fall). Second, in the docs I have seen to date, I have not heard anybody talk about the actual floor loads on the building floors, just prior to collapse/demo. As an engineer, I know that every building on earth is basically designed to support floor loads (usually live, furniture/equipment & dead). A 'factor of safety' is included in the design, thus making the completed structure easily able to remain erect, even if each and every floor was loaded to its capacity (ie the building was jam packed with people in every room on every level and each floor was loaded with the maximum amount of furniture weight). Yet the twin towers were nowhere near their floor load capacity, just prior to collapse, (many people didn't go to work that day and many people managed to exit the building prior to collapse, (I don't know the official number of people that each floor could support)), and no people were present in WTC7!!! So, the issue is; How is it possible for empty (or almost empty) buildings, which are not subject to the live load component and hence not experiencing stresses anywhere near their elastic limits or ultimate limits, collapse at free fall speeds, as a result of fire?

I had a college professor in structures who once said, and I paraphrase, Structures don't collapse from the mistakes that engineers design for....there are enough factors of safety to compensate for that...they collapse from what engineers completely miss designing for. - - - - When the towers collapsed, I was shocked and surprised, but attributed the collapse to the idea that...well...the engineers wouldn't have taken into account a large plane hitting them. Years later I discovered that they were indeed designed for a 707 hitting them. That got me thinking! - - Having spent many agonizing hours designing the structure for a church, I felt certain that the engineers of the towers would have overdesigned their structure to, if nothing else, still be standing until the last little old lady in a wheel chair escaped, unharmed. - - - - Call it gut feeling, with some practical engineering experience, but the idea of the tower collapses and especially the building 7 collapse being caused mainly by fires are suspect. The true cause or causes of these total failures certainly need to be re-investigated.

I have always been disturbed by the videos of the WTC buildings collapsing: it seems to me that the twin towers could not have collapsed vertically to the ground as they did just from the side impacts of the planes at their uppermost stories. It doesn't make sense that fires from jet fuel could melt structural steel, let alone in sufficient quantity to collapse both towers. And what about Building 7, which was not hit by a plane at all? The official explanation does not seem to cover the facts as they appear to anyone watching the events unfold with a reasonable understanding of basic physics. If the official story were true, then why hasn't there been investigation and radical re-engineering of structural building codes for high-rises? The insurance companies and developers would demand this at a bare minimum.

What I saw perplexed me as from my background, I determined that a 757 could not have possibly fit into a 16-foot hole and leave little to no debris field at that. Afterwards, I contacted a friend who works for a governmental agency (commercial building engineer) and asked him how it is possible that aviation fuel could burn hot enough to 'melt' the steel trusses and supposedly causing a 'pancake' collapse. Then I asked him how WTC 7 fell. He only answered that fires were hot enough in WTC 7 to cause its collapse. The last time I spoke to him was in 2001 and he will not return my phone calls. He defended the WTC 1 & 2 official 'pancake' explanation. I've since listened and printed out many theories as to why these buildings fell. Steven Jones suggestion about thermite or thermate is intriguing. Others have suggested a mini-nuke device was implanted at the base of the buildings. It is obvious WTC 7 was a controlled demolition. But I wanted to hear from the experts, such as those on this site. My biggest objective now is to find out why the evidence was removed before experts could examine it - especially the steel. Why did fires keep burning under the rubble for over a month? But most important is why the investigations are being obviously covered-up. This is why I appreciate your site and will gladly sign the petition.

Received an associates in applied science from an accredited college in eastern Iowa. Being a skeptic, I always research a lot before coming to a conclusion, while not having bias against anyone else's ideas.
After reviewing a lot of information provided online through validated sources, I have come to the conclusion that not everything we are being told is the truth. For me, the smoking gun is the Pentagon (no plane, hole doesn't match size of plane, cia/fbi confiscated all video footage, witnesses report a plane leaving, video footage etc.). Clearly, this had to happen in order for the US to go to war with Iraq (for the WMD's, of course.....sarcasm). Thermite/super thermite being present on steel beams during clean-up. Molten steel for weeks after the WTC collapsed. Another WTC building falling without fire or being hit by a plane. I am not an expert on demolition, but a lot of experts claim that it is highly likely this was a controlled demolition, from all aspects. Reviewing footage from the day, witnesses do not see any markings on the 2nd plane, anywhere. Kind of odd.... Information given by the investigative committee does not match the path which the plane took to hit the Pentagon. Footage shows no plane, anywhere, before, during, or after the explosion. Dust analysis at the WTC reveals contents of explosives...how sad The evidence is overwhelming. There needs to be a solid collective with higher political influence that can bring this to justice. A private committee, anything other than a government appointed committee. Doesn't it only make sense...?

I am a struggling student trying to complete a science degree and work full time, living in Austin, TX.
I was a sophomore in high school on 9/11 and it was very clear to me that those towers fell because of something other than just the planes hitting them. I lived near Boston at the time and my father nurtured my intrest in science and it was our trips to the science museum that gave me the basic understanding that a building falling in the amount of time that the twin towers fell was way too fast for the Official reason i.e. The pancake Theory. Despite my personal beliefs about the motives behind the attacks, 9/11 did more damage to the reputation and credibility of science and technology than I could have ever imagined. It is tragic and appalling that all those people died, and the legitimate means to find a real answer is considered heresy.

On 9/11 I was at work and my wife worked on her master-thesis at the University of Vienna. A colleague of hers, a neuroscientist, said at the time when all the story happened and we watched it on TV: It`s all about oil. Years later, when Osama bin Laden was allegedly killed, I wondered why he was killed and not questioned about his role in the attack. Then I began to investigate. The way WTC 1,2 and 7 fell cannot be explained to me without the assumption that these three collapses were somehow assisted. The pictures of the alleged flight UA 175 do not resemble this type of airliner, the plane moves far beyond its speed-limit, and the way it approaches the Tower cannot be explained with an unexperienced pilot at the controls.

I remember not going to school but my principal called and instructed me that since I am home, I was to write a report on what was going on in the news that day... this was at 7:30 so no-one even knew I watched it all what a reported to my principal is exactly what the news said we all believed it then we were naive I was only 16 years old. I have researched and read everything I can find on the internet and other media regarding the events of 9/11/01. As a strong patriot, and someone that cares about the 3000+ people that lost their lives that day to a potentially domestic criminal act, I feel the world deserves a true, quantitative, scientific, explanation of the events that took place.
No other steel skyscraper has EVER collapsed, until 9/11/01. Larger buildings have burned hotter and longer without collapsing. I'm convinced we were attacked and that terrorism was involved, but I feel the destruction of the evidence and failure of the United States to do it's due diligence to it's people to properly lay the blame of this event at the right doorstep equates those responsible for this ignorance of truth with the very terrorists they persecute.
