PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

A couple years ago, I was lying awake in bed, surfing the TV stations. I happened upon Loose Change being played on a local cable access channel. That sent me off into a fury of research into 9/11. In my mind, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY the building fell because of the plane impact/fire. Building 7's collapse explanation is so ridiculous I don't even know what to make of it. I hope that I can see some bit of truth and justice come to light in my lifetime.

WTC7 is the definitive smoking gun. The rate of fall of all 3 towers is without a doubt impossible to achieve by the airplane strikes and after effects. The fact that the 3 towers fell in a matter of hours is impossible to attribute to the airplane crashes. Witness accounts of explosions and the recordings of radio communications between first responders are further proof of another cause for all 3 of the collapses.

I have been a practicing electronics hardware engineer in the tech field in Silicon Valley ever since receiving a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara. Though the BSEE ultimately focuses on electronics, electronic devices, and materials, like most engineering degrees it also requires significant background study in physics, mechanics, and mathematics to sufficiently ground the recipient in the general discipline of engineering.
You hardly need college physics to show that the mechanics of NIST's collapse model doesn't fit the evidence collected on that day. A simple conservation of energy problem (taught in most high school treatments of mechanics) suffices. Take the twin towers for example: if the tops of the buildings accelerated towards the ground at the rate of free-fall, which I believe has been adequately established through video and seismic analysis, it follows that all of their stored gravitational potential energy is being expended accelerating their mass towards the surface of the earth. From whence came the energy responsible for dismantling the steel support structure below the falling mass then? How can one source of potential simultaneously be totally expended in the acceleration of mass earthward while also providing the energy to pulverize hundreds of thousands of tons of structural steel and concrete? It simply can't... and that's one of many reasons why NIST's explanation is totally unacceptable.

The official explanation in the NIST report violates the laws of physics. It is physically impossible for a building (or anything else) to fall at near-free-fall acceleration and do work (smashing steel and concrete) on the way down. An external energy input (like explosives) is absolutely essential. In addition, for the top of one of the towers to tip about 30 degrees and NOT continue tipping and falling off violates the law of conservation of angular momentum. The symmetrical collapse of building 7 due to highly asymmetrical damage is also unbelievable. We have not yet been told the truth. If the government has nothing to hide, why continue to hide everything? Why not a new and truly independent investigation?

J'rg Schneider was appointed Professor of Structural Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) in 1967. He retired in October 1999. Born in Cologne in 1934, he graduated as a civil engineer from the ETHZ in 1958 and worked as a research assistant until 1962. For another four years he worked in industry, where he mainly dealt with the problems of precast and prestressed concrete. As a professor at ETHZ, his research was in the field of safety and reliability in building construction. For many years he was active in various Swiss standardization committees. He was Chairman of the Safety Expert Group of AlpTransit (EGSi) which supported the project management of these two new transalpine railway tunnels in matters of operational safety. He was a member of the Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS) and its President for five years. For many years he was one of the Vice Presidents of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). In 1991 he was elected as an individual member of the Swiss Academy of Technical Sciences (SATW). The University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (Boku) in Vienna awarded him an honorary doctorate degree in 1998 and, finally, he was elected honorary member of IABSE in 2002. In 2000, together with former employees and friends, he founded the engineering office Risk&Safety AG.
Clearly, I cannot believe that the George W. Bush administration willingly sacrificed 3000 lives. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. But I am convinced that the group around Bush gratefully used this terrible event to start the long-planned war on terror. However, there are so many inconsistencies in the official reports on the tragic event and so many gaps, especially in the collapse of WTC7, that only a new independent investigation can confirm or delete suspicions and remove existing ambiguities. I therefore fully agree with the request to have the events re-examined independently. Of course, even a new investigation will not bring people back to life.

I am a licensed mechanical engineer who has designed many commercial HVAC buildings and have been in the industry for about 10 years now. I have worked with structural engineers and understand the concepts necessary for structurally supporting a building. In addition, have received an education which includes materials failure, physics, structural analysis and other core classes which would help me understand a building's reaction to an impact of a plane and damage due to fire.
High rise steel buildings simply do not collapse due to fire. There is ample evidence of a controlled demolition and the rapid removal of debris implies a hurried non-investigated destruction of American property. This was a controlled demolition in which was not properly investigated. A travesty such as what happened on 9/11 should be thoroughly investigated and not swept under the rug. Building 7 is the proof necessary to warrant a different explanation as to who is responsible.

Having grown up in the shadow of the Empire State Building in New York City in my youth and young adult life, I remember hearing in school that lower Manhattan was Ground Zero in the event of nuclear attack. Living and working in skyscrapers is the norm in NYC. They are virtually indestructible given the amount of steel used and a history of over-building these structures. Then I saw the Loose Change video and that opened my eyes in disbelief that our government could do something like this and hope to get away with it. Let's start with independent hearings to determine the cause of failure of these buildings from a scientific analysis. Let the evidence lead us from there towards criminal prosecution of the guilty.

I am a layman re demolition, however, I could not believe that three Towers collapsed into their own footprint by 'accident'. My suspicions were aroused enough for me to watch out for any other 'alternative' info which may become available. Having read articles and watched youtube presentations regarding this, now for years, I feel certain that the Towers were not collapsed by the impact of the planes. There is another story here which we are not being told.

I'm a concerned citizen who questions the official account of the events in New York City on September 11th, 2001. I don't believe WTC Bldg 7 collapsed because of fire. It was a controlled demolition. For a structure the size of Building 7 a controlled demolition would require more than a week to prepare. Obviously, it was prepared for demolition well before 9/11/01. For me, there's no question that the official account of 9/11 was a whitewash. I call for a new investigation and the arrest and prosecution of anyone implicated in the cover up.

As difficult as it is to 'believe' that something nefarious is behind the destruction of the towers and Building 7, all the details that just don't add up keep me wondering if the truth could be anything as 'evil' as some evidence suggests. I was getting my son ready to go to daycare, and myself to work the day of the tragedy. He was watching 'Barney' and fussing because he didn't want to leave, then the children's show was interrupted and it showed the first plane crashing into the World Trade Center. I was outraged, I didn't think it was real, I thought it was some Bruce Willis violent movie advertisement and was outraged at the gall of showing such an ad during a children's show. It wasn't until I was in the car driving him to day care that I realized it was actually happening. How on earth could the cameras have been ready and poised to capture that incident had it not been planned? Is it true that the day prior $3Trillion was 'missing' from the Pentagon? Did a plane even hit the Pentagon? Was the plane footage hitting the World Trade Center even real - or was it a movie stunt? How does a building that was hit by a commercial jet liner manage to collapse in it's own footprint? I do not think there was any plane at all at the Pentagon.

One cannot sideline the laws of Physics.The US government conspiracy theory on 9/11 is for people with tinfoil hats. I just don't understand why both Towers, specifically the north tower, completely collapsed. The north tower was hit around floor 90 and stood for almost two hours before coming down all at once. Also, it is too much of a coincidence for me that one plane was diverted from its destination by passengers and one building mysteriously collapsed.

I received an associates degree in Electronics in 1965, however my career ended up as Production Manager in the RV and Mobile Home industry, as well as later as an owner and operator of a tortilla manufacturing business in the food industry.
There are too many unanswered questions about how those buildings that were designed to withstand that amount of heat without falling, could possibly fall in a pancake fashion as they did. Especially building 7 that wasn't hit by an airplane at all, fell the same way. It's all very suspicious and inconceivable, it sounds more like a controlled demolition than what we are told.

Seeing as 9/11 Commission Co-chairs Kean and Hamilton believe the commission was set-up to fail. Seeing as President Bush and Vice-President Cheney refused to testify under oath, and only together, and the testimony would not be made public. Seeing all the changes made, to the detriment of Americans, and the numerous expensive military conflicts because of 9/11. Seeing as no high rise had ever fallen due to fires prior to 9/11. It seems only prudent to to conduct a true independent investigation.

I was awoken by one of the first Loose Change videos, I listened to Alex Jones and follow We Are Change with Luke R. Basically, I don't see how anyone can believe that Building 7 fell in less than 6 seconds due to fire. I haven't spent that much time around skyscrapers so until I went to Houston and saw the actual size where near the Twin Towers. It's pretty unrealistic that 80 columns would have to give out at the same time. It was a controlled demolition.

I am appalled that Mayor Rudolph Giuliani was not indicted for destroying evidence at the 9/11 crime scene. It is clear from the video evidence that the World Trade Center buildings 1, 2,& 7 were brought down by controlled demolition.
