PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

In terms of the scientific and engineering evidence presented by AE911Truth, it appears that nanothermate was used for the controlled demolition of World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC7). National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)'s official story of the WTC7 collapse is contrary to the scientific and engineering evidence. Architects, engineers and authorities having jurisdiction improve building codes when new failure modes are discovered, such as NIST's 'fire induced progressive collapse' failure method they used to explain WTC7's collapse. I have yet to hear about a building code that has changed to prevent this failure mode which seems to indicate that it is not accepted as real. Furthermore, NIST's denial of AE911Truth's request for correction calling on the agency to throw out the conclusions of its 2008 report on the collapse of WTC7 is essentially an acknowledgement that the report never had anything to do with engineering. NIST's report appears to be a cover-up of the controlled demolition of WTC7, and therefore a cover-up of the truth of what occurred with WTC1, WTC2, and WTC7 on 9/11. I support AE911Truth because I support truth in science and resent NIST's unscientific and almost certainly illegal actions.

I had a college professor in structures who once said, and I paraphrase, Structures don't collapse from the mistakes that engineers design for....there are enough factors of safety to compensate for that...they collapse from what engineers completely miss designing for. - - - - When the towers collapsed, I was shocked and surprised, but attributed the collapse to the idea that...well...the engineers wouldn't have taken into account a large plane hitting them. Years later I discovered that they were indeed designed for a 707 hitting them. That got me thinking! - - Having spent many agonizing hours designing the structure for a church, I felt certain that the engineers of the towers would have overdesigned their structure to, if nothing else, still be standing until the last little old lady in a wheel chair escaped, unharmed. - - - - Call it gut feeling, with some practical engineering experience, but the idea of the tower collapses and especially the building 7 collapse being caused mainly by fires are suspect. The true cause or causes of these total failures certainly need to be re-investigated.

There are many well known questions to be answered: the speed of collapse, building 7 (and what it contained), then planes and their flight recorders, insider trading and their sources of information, and on and on. The most disturbing part is the handling of the material after the event. It should have been made publicly available for study by engineers and universities or anyone interested in researching and possibly preventing a similar disaster, but it was quickly disassembled and kept out of public view. I wonder if any of the material could still be traced into China.

Following the collapse, on September 12, 2001, I had a breakfast meeting with Tom McCasslin, then VP West Coast for Tishman Construction, and formerly the Project Engineer for Building 7. I have viewed different videos of the collapses of the World Trade Center buildings and watched eyewitness accounts of the collapses. After considering people's accounts and the evidence demonstrating how demolished buildings go down, I have reason to believe the government's explanations are not clear or true. There are many flaws in the official story and I think it has been demonstrated that the towers did not fall due to the impact of the planes alone, but from a planned demolition. I believe there are too many things that have been covered up or never released wihch leads me to believe we do not know the truth. The evidence captured of the collapse on video is extremely strange, i.e. the windows exploding 20 stories and more below where the building was falling, free fall speed, and no evidence of any concrete floor and/or metal deck! If the building pancaked then where are the floor plates? Why was the steel never investigated and why was it sold to the Chinese so quickly? Too many things were covered up to not believe this was a conspiracy!

The structural engineering explanation on how the Twin Towers could not collapse in the way they did by just being hit by airplanes makes a lot of sense to me. The columns would need to be taken out at the base (bomb sabotage in the basement) for the buildings to collapse like a deck of cards, in the way they did
I read the book Crossing the Rubicon by Michael C. Ruppert which gave a very plausible investigation of what possibly happened and who the players possibly were. Proving these terrorist acts is a real challenge as so much of the evidence has been destroyed or discredited. For me an inside job was required to pull it off in the military precision we all witnessed. The motive gave the Bush administration the reason to invade Iraq, (deja-vu for Pearl Harbour) as the Americans do not like going to war

The almost perfect vertical collapse of the 3 buildings seems to indicate the use of explosives at the ground level. Any partial shear or buckling of the columns at the point of impact would have likely caused the superstructures to lean over and fall out of the footprint of the buildings. However this theory as valid as it looks leaves a question mark as to how could it be possible to set up a large complicity that has not been neither discovered nor even suspected.

I had unquestioningly accepted the official explanation, having no reason to suspect governmental machinations. But it has become alarmingly evident with the new info available on the Net, on websites such as yours and the others, that all is not what it seems. Am disappointed about general unwillingness in the public, to question the official line.

I received a Bachelor degree in design from UMass Amherst in 1990. I later worked for a structural engineering firm in Virginia for 5 years. In 1998 I received a masters degree in architecture from UVA. I worked as an architect for several years in Boston before moving to Paris in 2005. I have since worked on the design development for 3 high-rise office buildings throughout Europe. I am now the project architect and designer of a 48-storey office tower in La Defense (just outside of Paris) that is to be completed in 2013.
I have been suspicious of how the 3 buildings collapsed since watching them fall live on TV. My doubts about the alleged causes of the collapses have only increased the more I am involved in actual tower design.

I have 25 years public service as a building designer, office building manager, and landscape architect. I also have 17 years in private practice and have designed schools, performing arts theaters, fire stations. city buildings, and custom houses. I have designed major highway landscape restoration and have written guidelines for major architectural treatment of Interstate 90 infrastructure in Washington State. During my education, I took twenty five credit hours of structural engineering. I am a certified HUD/FHA plans examiner, and a certified FEMA post disaster building inspector.
As an architecture student, I was on the 100th floor of the WTC second tower during its construction. I was personally escorted to the top by one of the head engineers for the buildings. I had an opportunity to see the unclad structure as it was being built. There were no curtain or interior walls Given the size and height of these buildings, I find it totally incongruous that three buildings would pancake almost symmetrically. I would think that there would be uneven failure, melting of the structure, more to one side than another in at least one of the structures. The planes crashed into one side of the buildings, and unevenly - not on a level keel. That, to me would indicate more damage on one side of the building and more on one floor than another. All three buildings seemed to collapse inward on themselves with out relative little damage to nearby buildings in all directions. Why didn't at least one tower upper section tilt and fall to the side. And building seven was not square. If it collapsed from fire, why pancake instead of falling to one side or end where the fire was located? The fire was not in the exact middle. This is all too perfect - more reminiscent of a controlled demolition for ALL three structures. There are far too many coincidences to even discuss here.

I have followed 9/11 truth out for many years. Seeing building 7 collapse in free fall and the wars that followed was the smoking gun. This actions made me think about our government and it’s funny corrupt business.

I my own mind, I have always questioned the ability of the planes to bring down the buildings by themselves. It has never made sense to me.

I've had 2 years of education in Architectural Engineering, and studied architecture under the direction of architects for another 12 years before becoming a licensed professional. I've been a licensed Architect since 2003. I've worked in the industry since 1978.
There are areas showing upward vertical debris that leave question. I've been involved in architecture for a long time. Many of my projects have required controlled demolition. Upward vertical debris usually is the result of charges going off late in the demolition, much like that visible in the videos taken of the world trade center.
