On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I graduated from Clarkson University in 1998. I focussed my attention on structures, optimization, and renewable energy. I took a graduate level course in Finite Element Analysis and that gives me some background to critically review the NIST studies on the WTC collapses.
Upon seeing the video of the WTC 7 collapse, I could see immediately that this was a classic case of controlled demolition. Clearly the core columns were cut first -- as shown by the center of the roof beginning collapse before the rest of the building -- and then the rest comes down at free-fall. Classic and unmistakable. If the WTC 7 was demolished, why not WTC 1 & 2? If there were any demolitions, then clearly 9/11 was an inside job. Period. We must find out who did this crime before they strike again in America -- perhaps with an even greater crime.

I don't know what happened, but having read quite a bit, and watched quite a few videos, it is clear that the official story is not true. We need a new investigation. Particularly easy to follow is the WTC 7 situation, 2.5 seconds of free-fall, after it was NOT hit by a plane and only had office furniture burning for some hours. No variables in that situation lead to free fall destruction of a steel frame skyscraper. It's collapse by fire is just not physically possible. Very many factors in WTC 1 and 2 also need a new investigation, but WTC 1 and 2 are (obviously) more complex than WTC 7.

(CDI) was on scene so quickly with all flights shut down right after? Major news outlets ( BBC, Fox and CNN) all announced the collapse of WTC 7 ( as well as specific details: the 47 story Salomon Brother Building has also collapsed, due to fires) far in advance of the actual collapse - proving foreknowledge and indicating that a cover story was being fed to the media. The alleged phone calls from the plane from the FBI inspector General's wife, speaking of hijackers with box cutters ( the source of that part of the myth), were impossible back then: cell phones didn't work at that altitude and there were NO phones on the backs of the seats in that type of plane.

How does a third building collapse without a plane hitting it? You don't have to be a fireman or architect to know that it is impossible to collapse a building like that without demolition explosives. Was this even investigated? How can anyone disregard the fact that this third building fell on it's own accord? What the heck is going on? This sounds like major incompetence. What are the names of the scientists who investigated this third building? Where is all the outrage this fact should elicit? I just read this fact that a third building neatly demolished itself, all by itself with no help? It does not take a learned man to see that there is a great injustice here. I want to know the names of the investigators who investigated this third collapse. You mean to tell me that there is no logical explanation for the collapse? On the day of the attacks, I did not understand why the twin towers completely collapsed. No explanation given by the U.S. government is satisfactory to me. The airplanes slammed into the buildings and these structures were capable of absorbing this kinetic energy without falling. It is only after nearly an hour of fire on the top floors that the buildings went into free fall. This seems impossible for the structure beneath the fire was cold and had it's structural strength and should not have collapsed.

Growing up as a child of an architect I have been the constant critical observer. Throughout my education at Cornell I studied the psychological and physiological effects of the environment on people. This was 'Below the surface' the things that are harder to make assumptions about. Going on to my Masters of Architecture, at Rensselaer, the physical realities of how spaces are formed became the balance to my undergrad. I now work daily on complex environments, primarily hospitals, and the balance between technology, user-needs, advances in patient care, and the utmost concern about security, life-safety, and infection control.
9/11 I was at Cornell, and will never forget the terror of watching the towers fall on television. Nearly everyone on campus knew someone in 'the area' they were extremely concerned about. The event had repercussions beyond personal tragedies and emotional detriment. Throughout my education the event became an example of another facet of architecture, site design, engineering and planning; one that lies somewhere between the reality of preparedness and the architecture of fear. I feel as though any event that so strongly impacts the course of education must be investigated, harnessing the present technology, in order to confirm or debunk assumptions that will be passed on for generations of designers and engineers.

I'm currently working independently as an architectural consultant and work closely with top construction researchers in Korea (ie with professors of graduate schools of architecture and engineering and construction research institutes). Past employment history include working as associate architect for a non-profit architectural firm in Chicago dealing mostly with urban redevelopment of impoverished zones.
I have read and watched many alternative explanations which seems to conflict with US Government's explanation of the collapse of the towers. I question the implosion of the building and how it affected the adjacent towers to implode in a very unlikely way without being a calculated demolition. From my experience with rehabbing burnt semi-high rise building, I have a lot of doubts with the official explanation of the collapse caused by jet-fuel burning of structural steel.

I found the footage from the facade of the explosions at the levels below going off ahead of the collapse to be one of the most convincing pieces of analysis. Also, the sheer fact that the levels below the point of airplane impact even collapsed (especially so evenly) at all to be pretty evident of a controlled demolition. I don't see how the levels below would have collapsed the way they did or even at all due to the impact and subsequent heating of a plane. I agree that if it was caused by a fire the process of collapse would have been much slower, organic and irregular. But from the footage it looks very linear, consistent and controlled.

The facts about the collapse of the towers demolishes utterly the fabricated explanations and perpetrated cover-up fed to people. While much evidence has been destroyed, the truth is indestructible and continues exist undamaged, by even an iota, in the face of perpetual and continual attack. Try as some might to hide or conceal it, the truth will not ever be destroyed. Thankfully, the truth is now being revealed by those architects and engineers and scientists who have, for their entire professional lives, studied the physical and scientific laws of building construction and demolition. It only remains for the public outcry to demand that our government officials open an unbiased investigation. The New York City Council is the appropriate body to begin this investigation.

I have viewed many building demolitions by professionals and building 7 looks exactly like those. This was the first time in history a building collapsed from a high temp fire and the floors fell straight down. The more amazing part is the fires only burned for less than 5 hours before the steel gave way. My understanding was the twin towers were designed to withstand a plane impact.

Rumsefeld on Sept. 10th announced that they didn't know where 2.7 trillion dollars went - with the assumption being they lost it through waste and lack of oversight. but it obviously wasn't lost. but it certainly seems like that was a misdirection - with 2.7 trillion to spend, I'm sure it would be pretty easy to do this.

I have been a builder for forty years, after teaching high school before that. I have designed and built enough houses to understand some basic structural concepts.
Buildings do not fall straight down, like the towers did, unless they are demolished by explosive charges. Do they? All four corners would have to reach the right temperature at the same time, and no one seems to be clear on what that temperature is. It seems to me important to know that and to prove it is a temperature that could be achieved under the conditions that existed.
