PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

The sudden disappearance of nearly all stability in the structure of the WTC buildings can neither be explained by planes destroying some floors, nor be explained by fire damage. So the official explanation is in opposition to basic physical laws. It has to be wrong. We need a new report based on a new investigation.

ONE steel building collapsing concentrically...very unlikely. TWO falling on their own footprint...ridiculous! THREE, on the same day in the same place? IMPOSSIBLE. For the first time in history 3 steel skeleton structures collapse for, supposedly due to some fires. But the fires are so small that they are only visible here & there. If the fires were so hot, the glass would have melted/shattered long before the steel making the so-called inferno clearly visible at every opening all around the buildings. The damage due to the planes was eccentric, so why was the collapse concentric? How did 3 steel buildings, allegedly in a condition of unstable static equilibrium, collapse in stable dynamic equilibrium? IMPOSSIBLE. I put aside all the ways in which it might have been done, Modern explosives placed at critical points would have done it. But put that all aside: The fact is that they were brought down; the physics & structural principles are incontrovertible. The method & reasons etc can be nutted out later. The 'squibs' which are officially claimed to be dust/smoke exhausting have too high a velocity for pumping exhaust...they emit at the velocity of explosive shock waves, equally all the way around. Just one other structural observation: At the Pentagon one evidence was supposed to be the bent over light-poles...so neatly leaning; from a 500mph aircraft impact?! Those light-poles would have been folded at the impact point, ripped out and left in a mangled mess some hundreds of metres away! So they were either toppled by small charges, or pulled over by ropes tied to a truck (the previous evening?). There is more structural observations I could make, but the above have not been stressed enough on your site, hence my comments. Please update your site to include/emphasize the above observations. I was always wondering about how they could collapse under the circumstances... since, while growing up, we used what was known as primus which is a kerosene burning appliance.. (kerosene is the major component of jet fuel). While cooking using kerosene in the most efficient manner (hottest possible flames), the appliance was made of very thin steel and our vessels were also very thin. They did not melt or distort ever, even when used for hours. When I saw the collapse of Bldg. 7 (several years later) that clinched it for me.

Too many questions remain about the attacks of 9/11. Heat: My experience with temperature measurement and basic knowledge as an engineer taught me that to structurally weaken steel you need very high temperatures. These cannot be produced by burning jet fuel. Collapse: The collapse of all three buildings on 9/11, Twin Towers and WTC7, are unexpected in their behaviour. There is no hinging or falling-over, the collapses were unbelievably fast and complete. Explosions: People have reported explosions prior to the planes hitting the buildings. During the collapse there are indications on film that explosions may have taken place. Some of the dust contains traces of what is found after the use of nano-thermite. Reasoning from the other side, all of what happened as part of the 9/11 event can technically be organized more easily by elements of the US government. Motif could be found in the potential of financial gain and increase of power. It would be in the interest of a benign government to disprove this theory. Unfortunately, too many questions remain, too many to believe that the official story is correct. That alone is reason to demand an impartial investigation.

The observational data alone easily disproves the collapse theory put forth by the U.S. government. In 1998 I received a masters degree in architecture from UVA. I worked as an architect for several years in Boston before moving to Paris in 2005. I have since worked on the design development for 3 high-rise office buildings throughout Europe. I am now the project architect and designer of a 48-storey office tower in La Defense (just outside of Paris) that is to be completed in 2013.

The official study of the cause of the WTC destruction is clearly inadequate, as it is doubtful that aircraft could cause the towers to free fall into their own footprint without controlled demolition. Also, Building 7 was clearly too far away from the twin towers to have been destroyed by the collapse of the towers. Cell phone calls from passengers lacked air cabin background noise, suggesting that the aircraft landed elsewhere and the calls were made from the ground, not to mention that cell calls from moving high-altitude aircraft is highly problematic. Finally, the fact that all debris was hurriedly and illegally removed before a thorough forensic study is highly suspicious, pointing to an 'inside job'.

I graduated from the University of Idaho in 1997 with a degree in Architecture. I am 2/3 done with my state license exams. I have been involved with commercial projects for all of my architectural career. I have worked with many materials from wood, concrete, and steel. I have only experience in low rise buildings no higher then 3 stories.
I believe from my professional experience and from reviewing the footage that the building collapses, were not from fires or the plane impacts. From my studies of building collapse in college structural courses no building collapses that we studied collapsed such a uniform manner, and speed. There is only one way that this occurred and that is for internal explosions on the structural support columns similar to a demolition of a building would occur. There was not enough damage to building 7 to cause a structural collapses. This is my opinion on the collapses, a basic understanding of structural properties of steel and concrete, a knowledge of physics, and some common since have brought me to this conclusion.

I agree with Paul Craig Roberts that speed of collapse is sufficient to make the case. The debunkers claim there was unseen damage to WTC. That does explain speed of collapse or straight down fall.

Grew up on Long Island in Valley Stream, not far from the towers. Was at work when they fell, watched the whole thing on the news and was terrified. Immediately knew that those two planes could not have brought down the towers. Further research on my own proved my hypothesis and I am now a part of the truth movement.
My main concern is the foundational steel found which demonstrated that it had been destroyed by a demolition or a planted explosion. The angled breaks suggest a planted explosive since the foundational steel did not buckle.

Have seen several presentations on cable community channel. The last one I saw was held at the University of Wisconsin, was impressive. Architects and engineers lend credibility, and the video was stunning. Whether someone believes the evidence or not, it is necessary to have an independent investigation. Personally, I wouldn't put it past this administration.

Although there are many reasons to fault the official conspiracy theory, what I find overwhelmingly convincing is the the impossibility of the buildings' falling as the result of local fire damage. The free fall speed, which clearly violates Conservation of Momentum and the explosive ejection of huge masses are the two deal breakers for me.

Although I'm from Canada, the war on terror affects the whole world. I think justice is owed to the public of what happened. I feel really bad for the US soldiers in Iraq and the Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan that have to give their lives for nothing! I think the investigation of the collapse of the buildings is just the start of uncovering the sad truth.

I grew up in NYC and saw the WTC's built as a kid. They were so much apart of the NYC skyline. Even today, I'm devastated that that those buildings are gone. I just want to know the truth. Did our government have anything to do with the controlled demolition of these buildings and why?

Towers exploded symmetrically straight down in seconds. Disappearing, turning to dust, debris and 24 foot long steel beams. Don't need to be an architect or engineer to figure it out. Just need to think for yourself.

I am a real estate appraiser in the Los Angeles area. I am not an engineer or an architect but I do have some knowledge of structural engineering.
It just seems asinine to me that people can have pivotal information right in front of them that they refuse to acknowledge. If it wasn't for the Internet and what seems to be our last stream of unfiltered information, I too would be lost in a world of bogus official stories. I have seen the video, I have read the accounts of that day. It is time for the professionals to prove it with science so that the people seeking the truth will no longer have to be ridiculed as conspiracy nuts.
