On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

It's incredible to see and analyze the mass of evidence which speaks against the official version of 9/11. The official explanation for what happened on this day, in connection to all the open questions, is in my eyes absolutly ridiculous. It's not really scientific! Therefore we need a new independent and transparent investigation with an international team of scientists. Otherwise we will never have the clearness of what really happened on this historical date. One of the government's most commonly stated missions is to protect its citizens. Regarding 9/11, this duty would certainly include understanding the true root cause of the destruction in New York City that day...for all three buildings. For NIST and the government to assume that combustion of office materials in a small area of the building caused the symmetrical collapse of Tower 7 is simply irresponsible. It also demonstrates absolute neglect in their duty to protect its citizens from attack. If terrorists could fly planes into WTC 1 and 2, could they not have wired tower 7 for demolition? Shouldn't we be absolutely sure that's not what happened? Looking at the collapse, nobody can deny that it appears to be controlled demolition. So the next question is, who wired the building? The refusal by NIST to test for residues of explosives is beyond belief.

Although I have no means proving my gut feelings about what really happened on 9/11/2001, I would put money on the bet that the Bush administration used the attack to obtain the support of the majority of the American people to open a new war on Afghanistan in addition to the raging war in Iraq, in pursue of indirectly funding the all-powerful US weapon industry. I am almost convinced, at least I would not be surprised at all, that this administration firstly had full information about the terrorists preparations prior to their attack, secondly decided not to intervene these activities, and thirdly purposely used this attack to also demolish building 7 in the event. The controlled demolition of building 7 means it was planned and prepared for a long time in advance. That being true, it becomes difficult not to assume that the collapse of the two towers also was prepared in advance, and was the real cause for their destruction, not the aircraft and the fire inferno. Ask any demolition company, the hardest thing in the world to accomplish is to make a building fall down within its own footprint. Towers topple! Even buildings like building 7 do not simply fall inward, they spill out on one side or one corner. Building 7 is a perfect example of a controlled implosion! Watch footage of demolitions gone wrong, there are some buildings about that size the ended up rolling like a block and ending up on their own roof (and down the street). And the towers themselves, were in free fall. These building should have toppled near and towards the impact areas, especially the second plane that hit the corner of the tower. If you do believe that the towers pancaked, where are the 23 structural columns in each tower? When floors like this pancake, say in parking structure, the columns remain standing. Since not all the columns were damaged, some should have been left standing--all 110 stories! These columns were very strong, after all they did support the entire structure, and even if they had been knocked down in the destruction, they too would have toppled (not pulverized) and fallen into other buildings or down the streets for blocks away from ground zero. Americans are accustom to watching controlled demolitions on the television, this is exactly what we all saw.

How could WTC 1 and 2 have pancaked the truss-supported floors AND pull the core pilings directly downward? Wouldn't a catastrophic collapse of floors, damaged eccentrically, create a direction other than straight down? As far as ALL the supporting columns of WTC failing at the exact same time is doubtful. This collapse (if the official story at this time is to believed) was due to damage at the front of the building and the ensuing fires' temperatures, is impossible. Any building, if damaged to the point of failing, would fall in the direction of the damage. Why are we STILL asking these questions?!

The FEMA, NIST, and 9/11 Commission explanations of the events of 9/11 do not satisfy me, in particular the collapse of WTC 1, 2, & 7. Although I am not convinced the collapse of 1 & 2 were not somehow caused wholly by the plane crashes, given the unusual design of the towers, I *am* convinced that we have yet to understand the mechanism and that it is plausible that the cause was not merely the aircraft. WTC 7, on the other hand, I am convinced is completely unexplained and that controlled demolition is the most likely hypothesis to explain its collapse.

From Engineering wise the towers will not collapse the way it happened during the plane attack, this way of collapse done by engineers distributed explosive devices or dynamite in every story and those explosives set in a way that every story explode after the other in seconds between each. and this way used to demolish old buildings and this should be done by expert engineers specialized in explosive materials. On the other hand, the plane fuel explosion temperature not able to melt the steel structure because the milting point of steel is around 1300 degree Celsius and the fuel explosion temp around 900 degree Celsius.

I have spent my life in pursuit of scientific explanations for the world around us. I am a construction contractor and have built many buildings. I weld steel and aluminum on a daily basis.
The building collapses cannot be explained through forensic evidence, anecdotal evidence, or any knowledge of the behavior of the building materials used in the constructions of WTC1, 2, and 7. The energy required to demolish a building to the level seen on 9/11/2001 could not come from a combination of jet fuel and gravity. Even badly constructed buildings are VERY difficult to break down into parts that can be transported by truck. There is no evidence whatsoever that these were badly built buildings, nor has there been ANY mention in the media or in government forums that the buildings were badly constructed. If the official story is true, everyone living or working in a tall steel-framed building should live in constant fear that their building could turn to dust at any time.

Since we know how long it generally takes to plan such a demolition, how did they get it done in a matter of minutes?
