PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I have training in civil engineering and structural steel design; structural steel buildings do not collapse in a brittle catastrophic manner. Structural steel connections are designed to yield with plastic deformation, allowing for significant ductility/elasticity. After observing the WTC video collapses on video, I can state that it is impossible for such rapid loss of structural support to occur in the underlying floors. With fully movement-restrained connections, some mobilization of structural capacity should have occurred, resulting in a slower rate of decent, and an irregular collapse configuration.

I was a volunteer working at Ground Zero with a mobile welding company. We were one of the first non-union welding companies on site. I remember as we rolled up, the dust in the air was still very thick, and covered everything in the area making it hard to focus. As my eyes adjusted, and I got my first good look at the pile that was once 2 World Trade Center, I was in disbelief! How could such enormous buildings have made such a small piles? Then I noticed many of the surrounding buildings didn't suffer any significant damage, and the streets and walkways were clear of large debris. All the columns seemed to be so neatly stacked, and the rubble so concentrated in such small areas, it seemed there had been a cleanup effort going on for days before we got there! And this was just about twelve hours after they came down! Impossible I thought. This cant be right! I turned to my friend and said These buildings couldn't have come down any cleaner if it was a planned demolition! He agreed! We didn't give it much more thought at the time because we had one hell of a job ahead of us. After returning home I really started to think about the whole situation. Nothing made sense about it! So I started doing my own research. I've seen every theory from alien technology to nanothermite paint. The only thing I can say for certain is that the reasons we were given for the collapse of those buildings are a lie! I still live with nightmares from my experiences on the pile. And every time I see it played over on the news I can still smell it and taste it in my throat. Hopefully the nightmares will be the only thing that plagues me and I don't develop cancer as well. Either way I will pay my dues for my good deed, I just want to know the truth! As do many other people around the world who don't live with their heads up their asses! I think We The People deserve it!!

It is clear to me now that there were tell-tale signs that the three WTC towers were taken down by controlled demolitions: squibs; explosions heard by eyewitnesses in the basement, lobby, and on the street; the speed at which the towers fell that does not agree with laws of physics if they were collapsing under gravity alone; the lateral projectiles as the towers fell; projectiles seen exploding in mid-air; thermite discovered in the dust; molten steel pouring from one of the towers just below the impact of the plane, and the molten steel in the rubble that was seen by eyewitnesses at the site in the days after the collapse. We need to know the truth.

Applying 2 basic principles, conservation of energy and conservation of momentum, the government explanation quickly unravels. NIST conspicuously ignored these principles in their Reports. NIST also ignored the observed twisting of the top 34 floors of the South Tower before it toppled down. This twisting clearly violates the conservation of both linear and angular momentum unless a large external force (such as an explosion) caused it. Where the massive amounts of energy came from that were needed to cause the complete collapse of the intact parts below for each Tower, when their tops were in virtual free fall, is not answered in NIST's numerous (43) volumes of study. It is physically impossible for a building to fall straight down at near free fall speed unless all it's structural supports give way at exactly the same time which would not happen due to an airplane crashing into it or from the resulting fires. No modern steel structure building in history has collapsed due to fire; every modern steel structure building which has collapsed did so as a result of controlled demolition.

The circumstances of 911 are not at all compliant with my understanding of Newtonian Physics. I do not believe that there was enough chemical energy contained in the planes in order to produce fires of the intensity reported. Nor do I believe the office environment would have been flammable enough to contribute, health and safety dictates that office environments are as fire retardant as possible. The collapse of the buildings is also suspect as a structural weakness brought about by fire in one side of the building would not bring about a perfect collapse downward in my opinion, let alone twice in the space of one day. Also buildings are over engineered specifically to take many times normal stress factors and temperature changes, it is normal practice and I doubt buildings of this prestige would be any different. If a building collapsed after a normal accidental fire there would be a thorough independent investigation free from bias, I do not think this has been the case for 911, there are many questions, and not a lot of answers that make sense scientifically.

It is not too late ! for example, NYC-TV Channel 2 WCBS and 7 WABC broadcast from WTC 1. chief station engineers will have data about AC input power cuts, and exact time and nature of RF output failures. High point of my career: Following the Challenger accident in January 1987 I developed, on behalf of my client and former employer, a stochastic simulation for assessing the reliability of APU turbine wheels used in the Space Shuttle.
It is physically impossible for the towers to have collapsed at near free fall speed under the pancake arguments put forth. Each layer, while the force of gravity, is attached to a structure with large friction. [This is the fasteners that hold the layer to the vertical structure. The friction involves severing the fasteners.] This friction would need to be overcome by the impulse of the layers falling above it. This would retard the falling rate slowing it down from free fall. Also, each layer would contribute additional mass that is at zero velocity while the layer(s) hitting it have already been accelerated (by gravity) to some positive velocity. This would also retard the fall rate by inertial considerations. Perhaps, if we observed the so-called pancake effect at the last few layers both the friction and the additional mass would not be that significant. However, the pancake effect does not apply to the vertical structure to which the layers are fastened. When a magician pulls the table cloth from under the dishes on the table, the dishes remain - although we always see them move slightly as a result of static friction. The pancake theory, along with the irrefutable fact that the collapse was near free fall, would have us to believe that the friction holding each layer in place was negligible. In that case, how is it that the structures stood as long as they did? As for WTC 7, it's a classic demolition. (Didn't Dan Rather say so himself?)

From the video of collapse it is obvious the NIST report is wrong. How is it that 9/11 Commission only spent 600,000$ (US) to investigate the entire event with the President and Vice President both obviously gaining financially from this, while the investigation of Bill Clinton's (president) sex life was over 20 million and he had nothing to gain?

I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that the aircraft impacts and the fires were not sufficient to account for the collapses of the buildings. Further, the speed with which the authorities removed crucial evidence before it could be properly evaluated and analyzed, demand a real and proper and independent investigation into all aspects of the entire set of events. I believe that if the truth is not brought out, that those who perpetrated this great crime will continue to foment such events, dooming our democracy and ultimately the U.S.A. as we know it.

I remember seeing the WTC 7 collapse replayed in the news on the evening of 9/11. It's straight down collapse seemed surreal to me, but the whole day was so surreal. I disagree on the official report on it's collapse simply because there is no evidence what so ever to back this argument up. The way the buildings fell at near free fall speeds? and the way it fell? Due to structural failure and the fire, even if is was fire (which we all know to be false because jet fuel does not burn hot enough to cut through industrial steel only thermite which there was traces found at the scene) then name one other building that collaped on itself the way the towers did. There are many inconsistencies between the official report and the collapse of the 3 WTC towers, however I would like to talk about just one, the gas laws state that the volume of a gas is proportional to its temperature, where did the energy come from to heat up the gas carrying the dust particles? Why was the temperature rise so sudden? If it had happened when the tower hit the ground you would expect dust clouds but the clouds started as the towers started to collapse, If an aeroplane crashes every last piece of evidence is reassembled to find out the cause of what happened in order to make sure it doesn't happen again. Why in the case of 3 skyscrapers was this not done, in order to learn what happened and prevent an ordinary hydrocarbon fire from demolishing other skyscrapers. In fact the opposite is true almost all the evidence was shipped off to China to be recycled, imagine an airline doing that after a plane crash, would not that be very suspicious. To date I have not heard any plausible official account of what happened. I believe there should be a new official independent investigation to explain the visual and scientific evidence.

When I witnessed the first WTC tower implode in on itself -- and I witnessed it in real time -- my first impression was, Oh my! Why are they bringing the building down!? It was so obvious that the structure was imploded under controlled demolition that there was no doubt about it. In fact, if we were to show 20 demolitions side by side with one of them being the WTC building 7 I believe 90% of viewers would not be able to identify WTC 7. Why? They all look like controlled demolitions. Therefore, to assume that WTC 7 came down symmetrically at free fall speed neatly in its own footprint purely by chance would be an unscientific hypothesis. Let's assume it was a controlled demolition and then start looking for forensic evidence to support that. Note: the 9/11 Commission did not even bother to investigate WTC 7. I wonder why? To not answer this question represents an escape from Reason that defies mental health.

The official hypothesis of the collapse of the World Trade Center towers contradicts the observational and physical evidence in too many ways to offer a coherent explanation. Alternatively, the controlled demolition hypothesis seems to agree with the data to such a high degree that the events of Sept. 11, 2001 must be officially investigated in an open and scientific manner.
