On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

A couple years ago, I was lying awake in bed, surfing the TV stations. I happened upon Loose Change being played on a local cable access channel. That sent me off into a fury of research into 9/11. In my mind, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY the building fell because of the plane impact/fire. Building 7's collapse explanation is so ridiculous I don't even know what to make of it. That morning I woke up to a shifting dusk morning air, as the birds chirped seemingly louder than usual next to my open bedroom window. That hot Colorado summer was quickly giving way to the coming fall season, and the new school year was setting its pace, as I began 6th grade just after a months long family visit in Europe with my grandparents. When I went downstairs for our routine morning cereal and homework check, a look of horror on my mother's face that I hope to never witness on anyone ever again, engulfed the living room as she gleamed in disbelief at the news reports on the television. Living smack dab in between Ft Carson and Peterson Air Force base, in my home town of Widefield Colorado, the city of Colorado Springs that morning was clenched in the security of the armed forces, on standby, ready to deploy by the command of NORAD, which was just 10 miles west of our home. I would never forget the military response to the attacks on our nation. Tanks, armored vehicles, and fully suited soldiers lined the streets. At that young age, the sight of responding heroes and patriots inspired me, and I was awestruck at what seemed at the time, the most honorable and brave men and women I'd ever seen, as my mother slowly drove my little sister and I to a terrified and frozen school district, which in the hours following would soon dismiss all classes until further notice. Things would never be the same again. Still impacted and full of revenge, 7 years later, at the age of 18 I joined the United States Army airborne infantry. It seems I was plagued with a thirst to do my part in fighting back those who brought so much pain and change to my nation. During my service I started hearing claims of an inside job. After years of rebuke, and denial, I wasn't hearing these claim any more, but began LISTENING to them. Unfathomable accounts. Unbelievable statements. Eventually I began to do my own research. In saddened disbelief, sitting in the middle of a war torn Middle Eastern village, I stared at videos, and reports on my lap top. It was an unquestionable conclusion. My own government, the leaders of this nation and others who I am sworn to and vowed to protect, played its own hand in the very attack I now deplore and fight to avenge. I felt furious. I felt betrayed beyond words. I wanted out of the military right then and there. The things we've done, the waste of life, the blood shed, all in the name of self inflicted victimization. Today I stand proud as a combat veteran, who now realizes who we were truly fighting for. It wasn't for those empty suits in smoke filled rooms. We were fighting for you. The citizens of this nation. The people. Those who knew the whole time what our government was doing to itself. We were fighting for the victims of that day and the citizens who on the days before and after 9/11, couldn't fight for themselves. Our government, a corrupt bureaucracy, who evidently is willing to kill its own people for power and control, will go beyond its means to silence those who speak against it. But I stand before you today, 20 years later, to say thank you to all the experts, the survivors and victims of that attack. Thank You for speaking out and fighting for truth. Today I am currently enrolled in college, studying to become an electrical engineer. I hope to one day utilize my education to back up what we know and continue this fight for truth with expertise and wisdom. My sincere condolences go out to the families, and my deepest respect go to the TRUE experts who have worked endlessly to expose the truth. You have inspired me to join this fight. There are definite questions from a physics aspect and of certain elements that should be questioned. True investigation, like design, should not count out any possibilities and claims should be refuted by scientific fact. There are many claims in the NIST report that do not add up and should be evaluated. Even the 'debunking' released by Popular Mechanics have weak explanations that are not based on evidence of photos, scientific study, 3D modeling and so forth. For example, a building designed to withstand horizontal force and fires for hours leading to a complete collapse does not add up. These 3 buildings would be the first buildings in history to ever completely collapse to rubble from a multi-story fire. If this is the case, then NFPA and all other fire-protecting standards would need to be greatly revised to even allow for any new high-rise construction or else we are all performing malpractice.

The official explanation of office fires cannot be true. If such fires could bring down a steel skyscraper, would anyone ever feel safe in one, or set foot in one again? The destruction of evidence and lack of a real forensic investigation make me very suspicious. Somebody got away with murder. Who? and Why? I support and applaud the efforts of ae911truth.org and believe that once Americans learn the facts presented here they will demand an independent forensic investigation into this matter - probably the single most important event in the history of the USA.

The building burned for 18 hours, yet I never feared building collapse. I am more than positive that the Firefighters who died on 9/11 never suspected those buildings to collapse either.

The NIST Bldg 7 report, NIST NCSTAR 1-9 concludes that Bldg. 7 collapsed due to ordinary building contents fires, not fires from leaking pressurized fuel lines or fuel from day tanks. in section 8.2 page 324. It also concedes in section 14.2 page 617 that this would be, the first known instance of the total collapse of a tall building primarily due to fires. In section 8.9.2 Hypothetical Blast Events on pages 356 & 357 it considers the possibility of explosive demolition and assumes a 9 lb. RDX charge would have been required to initiate collapse and estimates the resulting blast pressure would have broken many windows and been audible on recordings made at the time. It says that these events did not occur, thus excluding the possibility of explosive demolition. However, unburned particles of thermite were found in dust samples collected on 9/11. Thermite is not an explosive. It would burn thru steel, not blow it apart. It would not have produced a blast pressure wave of the sort produced by RDX. There is no mention of thermite in the NIST report, so it is incomplete. 9/11 Commission Chairman Kean, Vice Chairman Hamilton, Senior Counsel Farmer, Counsel Rundlet, & Member Roemer have stated variously that government witnesses lied to them, withheld evidence, and obstructed their investigation. Commission member Cleland resigned from the Commission stating that the investigation had been compromised.

I am a recent B.S. Physics graduate from the University of South Florida. Having done research in the realm of theoretical models using Newtonian Physics/ Non-Newtonian Physics/ Chemistry for my undergraduate research, I am well-aware of the potential of using this to demonstrate that the probability of all 3 buildings falling in the exact-same fashion to be unlikely, especially since the known facts/ figures in public documents surrounding the incident suggest something to the contrary should have occurred.

I attended Choate Rosemary Hall high school, and am now a physics major at Southern Connecticut State University. My main areas of interest are physics, philosophy, and government. I have been deeply interested in propaganda and other methods that governments employ to control populations for years.
The core columns in the top 3rd of each towers were smaller and lighter than the core columns in the bottom 2/3 of the towers. It is impossible that smaller, lighter, weaker structure fell through a much heavier, stationary, stronger structure at nearly free-fall speed without the help of explosives. Every floor below the impact point was more than strong enough to support the weight of every floor above it. The fact that the towers collapsed at near free fall speed meant that the this larger, heavier, stronger structure gave almost no resistance to a smaller, lighter portion of the structure falling into it. Therefore, the structure under the point of collapse must have been hindered in some way, possibly explosives. Also, the fact that WTC7 was left out of the 9/11 reports, and not even publicly acknowledged is reason enough alone for a new independent investigation.

The way they fell, defies the laws of physics...The amount of energy absorbed by the buildings did not translate properly into a general violation of the entire structural integrity. The momentum of each of the airplanes (eg, 4 million Kg ' 1000 k/h = 333 Million Newtons) does not, and cannot, mathematically translate into the physical circumstances for their collapse (tensile strength of steel columns)...especially only 90+ minutes later.

I have calculated the acceleration of the fall of the wtc 1, wtc 2, and wtc 7 buildings using their height and fall time. The acceleration value for all 3 buildings is the same as the acceleration of gravity. In other words, free fall. This is only possible if the buildings had their internal steel supports sheared by thermate as the buildings fell. This was clearly an inside job. I have absolutely no doubt. Wtc 7 held bush's gubernatorial documents, so was prepared to implode before the event. Remember, those documents were sent there to avoid scrutiny by Alberto Gonzales. This was the work of George bush, his brother Neil, and probably bin laden as a co conspirator. Please get busy and get some real independent physicists to research this. Steel does not melt from a smoldering (remember the sooty black smoke).

I studied physics from 1981-1987. In 1987 I graduated from the Department of Physics , St Petersburg State University, St Petersburg, Russia. My highest level of education was evaluated as MS in Physics in the USA. I specialized in Geophysics. From 1987-1989, I worked as a research scientist for SevMorGeo, Dept of Marine Geophysics of the Arctic Ocean, acoustics division. I studied and interpreted acoustic waves propagation in the sedimentary of Arctic Ocean. I came to the USA in 1990. From that time i moved into Computer Programming and worked as a Programmer Analyst for number of corporations in New York.
I did the estimated calculations using the Law of Energy Conservation and Impulse Conservation for the collapsed building of WTC. ( Available). The goal was to find out if energy released as a result of kerosene burning and impact ( kinetic energy) was enough to damage concrete and steel structure within one floor affected. I used linear model to estimate upper numbers. Based on my calculations, the energy released was not enough to heat concrete insulation to 600 C that in technical literature is indicated as point that damages concrete. The steel would stay protected from heat. Under this condition, the structure of building is supposed to be unharmed ( linear model). It is most likely that the flame would damage many floors , but we would see the steel skeleton unharmed. Linear model simply gives us the upper energy estimates to answer the question: if the energy was ( was not) enough to damage concrete insulation, and further heat steel beams. However, due to the fact that in the reality, we deal with non-linear model, we allow local deformations caused by heat gradient. So, the picture would allow bended steel in some areas, and probably partially collapsed floors, that do not contradict Energy Conservation law, but simply reflects its differential distribution. Objection against free fall of 9.2 s. If we assume that the upper part of the building ( over the plane hit level), becomes unsupported due to heavy damage of the beams, the process of falling down cannot be possibly vertical. The unsupported parts will get turning moment and will be inclining to that part of the building where the plane hit it. ( We assume the hardest damage to the supporting steel beams there). As a result, the upper part will start falling to that side since it will get turning moment. We may expect it fall down to that side of the building, but the rest of the building to stay as it is, since it is not damaged and may not possibly get turning moment. Example: if we cut one leg of the 4 leg chair, the chair may ( may not, depends on weight), fall on that corner, where we cut its leg . As heavier the seat, as higher the turning moment) These models are pretty much enough to explain the physics of the process at the model level, in my opinion. There is neither other forces or energies involved, if we assume that plane/buiding is the closed system and there is no other energy source to income to the system.

I got a B.S. in physics at MIT, and a Ph. D in experimental solid state physics at the university of Illinois. I have been working as an electrical engineer since then, now working on integrated circuits.
The timing of the collapse is very odd. Jet fuel is liquid, so it would spread out and burn very quickly. One plane produced a large fireball which exhausted in a few seconds. The fires would be the hottest in the first 3 minutes, hence the steel the weakest. After 10 minutes, the fire would be dying down, and the steel cooling and strengthening. The buildings should have collapsed in the first 10 minutes or not at all. Other buildings have had normal fires for 1 week without collapsing.

From what I have seen on this and other websites, I strongly agree that the destruction of WTC 1,2 & 7 are best described by controlled demolition. The idea that fires caused these buildings to fail and collapse is not at all consistent with the evidence presented here. I have a general engineering degree and MS in physics. My work experience is in material science and optical science.
My doubts came about with the mysterious free fall straight down when only one side of each building was hit. If there was a weakening, a building tilt might have been expected. Further research showed that there is no way the jet fuel could have heated up the beams to the required temperature. Furthermore picture evidence post collapse showed angular cuts on each beam where the beams melted. Jet fuel could not be so precise. Qui bono?

I'm an entrepreneur who is trained in Physics and Engineering. While I'm not a structural or mechanical engineer, I understand the science being presented by ae911truth.org... and it is sound. It is *certainly* sound enough to cast great shadows of doubt over the official story... and given the import the events of 911 have had on our contemporary government and industry, I'd say an independent, citizen-compelled investigation is completely justified.
I think there is *ample* evidence to open this investigation with far-reaching congress-backed and new-president-backed indictments. Being trained in physics and engineering, there simply is no logic to the official story. It's a trust us we know what's best for you faith-based explanation. Very suspect. Let's get to the bottom of this, and televise the proceedings, and build a web-based community to let everyone investigate, and contribute to the investigation-- a thousand points of enlightenment.
