To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I was shocked by 9/11. As an optimist I gave the official story the benefit of the doubt. I am not a believer in conspiracies but your documentary gave me pause. If there is a hint of impropriety in the official story, then it is likely to only be the tip of the iceberg. I hope to god it is wrong, but in my profession, hope doesn't cut it. I need to see evidence that makes sense. The NIST backtracking and weak arguments don't reassure me; as an engineer, I understand the issues raised. Also, in my industry, an objective third party review is always used. I would expect the same from our government.

Fire on a few floors does not remove all structural support of a 110 story structure. Below the fire was unaffected steel and concrete with a design strength to support five times the weight of the building. Any collapse would have stopped immediately at a few floors. Instead we are told to believe 110 floors of structure magically and instantaneously turned into butter allowing the free fall of the building. Collapse cannot cause the concrete of the whole building to turn to dust. There would be a pile of concrete rubble in the building foot print or nearby. Instead 90% of buildings 1 & 2 are spread all over lower Manhattan as fine dust. This is blatantly not believable!

The video of the actual collapse of the building shows the building collapsing while intact. The NIST model does not represent the reality of the collapse. Therefore, NIST model assumptions were wrong somewhere. In addition to that, the collapse of one major column would not cause the whole building to collapse, and if it did, it will not collapse symmetrically.

As I watched the news reports on 9/11, I listened as Dan Rather mentioned how he thought that the collapse of the Twin Towers looked like many of the buildings that had been brought down by explosives in controlled demolitions. I had the same thoughts and definite misgivings about what government officials were saying caused the towers to collapse. While searching for information on the Internet I found Richard Gage's A&E 9/11 website. I started reading what he and other Engineers, Scientists, and Educators were saying about the collapses. They were using facts and scientific methods to analyze what happened that day. This I compared to the government's denial of facts, cherry-picking of evidence, and omitting of testimonies that did not fit with their preconceived scenario of what happened on 9/11.

For most of my life I have worked in construction and heavy industry, with a background in Avionics from the U.S. Navy. For all intents and purposes, I am an engineer.
The folks that had prior knowledge of 9/11 events, plus the folks in positions of power to manipulate the cleanup, investigation, and subsequent findings of the events of 9/11 have done an amazing job of misdirecting the public toward a false narrative. "As I watched shocking events on that day, as the buildings came down, I said out loud to those strangers gathered around the TVs in the back of the bookstore I happened to be working in that day ""that was a controlled demolition!"". I do not have science degree, but I have seen many controlled demolitions on TV through the years, and, being an HVAC contractor, I work in and on commercial buildings and structures, and I see and understand just how redundant the load bearing designes in them are. And that buildings like The WTC 1 & 2 (actually ALLmodern buildings) are engineered to withstand immense overloading, and that we'd have to be pretty gullible to believe that they would collapse the way they did. I have always known since the day the towers fell that we, ALL Americans, are being lied to. There are WAY too many holes, excuses, and omissions in the official story. Plus, no matter how many people online say it is a conspiracy theory, not ONE Certified engineer or scientist/physicist that I can find, will admit or explain all of the melted (yes melted) portions of structural I-beams. Many online are flat out denying that there was any...that's the official line now; no melted structural steel! They are saying to everyone who saw ALL of the cut (like by a cutting torch) I-beams during the cleanup, ""don't believe your own lying eyes"". We are owed another investigation. Why not do it? Who will be hurt or embarrassed if a thorough forensic study is conducted, and why do they have the right to tell all of the engineers (who all have nothing to gain and everything to lose) that the physics and math they are using just happens this time, to be wrong. Even though these same professionals are trusted and paid to design all of the modern structures we all use daily. The people objecting to the official story are all, to my knowledge, patriotic citizens who are distressed and heart broken about what they now Know. To whomever needs to see this, please allow another investigation to happen. I am sad, and scared and pissed about what it seems actually happened."
