PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

Earlier in my career, I have worked for a City government for 3 years and two different industries. For the last 34 years, I am engaged in my own Engineering firm. Even though my degree and my specialty is electrical, most of my work and income relates to the structural discipline (within expertise limits -- i.e., no high rises, schools, parking structures, etc.) I've worked with and can deal with all materials: soils, wood, masonry, reinf. concrete, steel, aluminum. I've even done forensics; 1 elect., 2 struct.
Well, I haven't read the official report. But I have watched many of the conspiracy theory videos. Also, I distinctly remember, nearly 9 years ago on the news report(s), the symmetrical collapse of BOTH towers, then the very underplayed (by comparison to the towers) PERFECTLY SYMMETRICAL collapse of Building 7. I thought at the time of controlled demolition and, by extension, an inside job. The gov's intent is to move on, but too many unresolved issues deserve proper focus, before all die.

The official explanation of the the 9/11 WTC tower collapses does not answer many technical questions. Why did the towers hit by planes collapse? Why did WTC 7 collapse without being hit by a plane? Why did the towers collapse as if a planned explosive demolition was executed? How did temperatures inside the building reach levels that could melt steel? Nothing about the official story makes sense when you think about it. But the three key elements that should convince anyone with an open mind are: (1) Building 7 collapses straight into its own footprint, falling as a single mass as though in quicksand -- i.e., with the failure at the bottom all the way down. Can't happen with a few pitiful fires restricted to a few upper floors, mostly on one side of the building. (2) Molten iron (not steel) running in rivulets under the debris of all three towers; residual heat higher than the temperature of standard building fires or jet fuel persisting for more than a week. If the official story were true, only a miracle could have caused that. (3) Multiple samples of dust from the collapses, taken at varied locations, all contained two damning things. First, microspheres of iron (again, not steel), which can only arise when molten iron solidifies in mid-air. That means that least some of he steel superstructure had to be converted into iron, for that's the only possible source. Second, the dust contained unexploded particles of military-grade nanothermite -- stuff you can paint onto a surface (like steel beams) and then ignite at will. There is no conceivable reason for that to be in any of the three buildings -- yet there it was. There are countless other very obvious indicators that the official story is bogus, starting with televised predictions that WTC7 either had fallen (BBC video with WTC7 prominently in the background) or was about to fall (Giuliani was only one of many who took action based on knowledge of WTC7's collapse. When has the timing of ANY burning building's collapse been so predictable? Why was the official investigation held up for so long by the Bush Administration, and then funded with a pittance compared to the Challenger Dister investigation in which fewer than 10 people died? If a teensy bit of fire brought down all three buildings, shouldn't there be huge funding to find out if all the high-rise buildings in the world are suddenly at risk of collapsing as they burn, even though the first three steel-framed high-rise structures in history to collapse from fire happened on the same day and same place?

I am a licensed master builder. In the last forty-years of my working life I have worked on many high-rise buildings from the footings to the fit-out.
In my final year (1970) at the West London College of Art and Building, we completed a unit on the slurry-trench and the spread footings of the World Trade Centre. I know the Twin Towers could not fall in the manner they did, unless the massive footings holding them aloft, was first destroyed. It is beyond all reason to believe a jet airliner slamming in to the eighty-second floor of WTC would cause the footings to fail six storeys below grade, not possible. It is in the interest of all people on earth to know what happen on 9/11 and who the real culprits are. We need a new and independent inquiry into the death and destruction at the WTC on 9/11. After all, the happenings on that direful day have resulted in two murderous wars, which still rage to this day.

Given my knowledge of basic structural mechanics, properties of steel, and the structure of a light construction office towers, I think it would be impossible for the buildings to fall as they did from the jet crashes and subsequent fire, which was not hot enough to melt steel.

I always had a special interest in science and grew up in an environment that helped me develop analytical and critical thinking skills. I have numerous lines of doubt about the official story. It just does not line up with undisputed facts from photos and materials analysis. These are further bolstered by on-the-spot accounts of many professionally trained observers, mostly first-responders. There is serious question as to how the twin towers could fall, in the manner they did, and so rapidly, without explosive or other demolition assistance beyond plane impact and fire. But even more inexplicable, in the official story, is the fall of building 7.

Then, like the Warren Commission being peopled by a select group of JFK haters, this commission being peopled with reps of corps with annual $10 million in defense-related contracts. You have the pristine passports from purported terrorists found on the street below WTC just like JFK's magic bullet found by Arlan Specter on the cot beside him. I have no expertise in this matter, although this is a required field to fill out. HOWEVER, I find compelling the fact that a significant number of people with presumed expertise find the evidence to be inconclusive, and therefore feel it must be given some weight and deserves the right of rebuttal in formal hearing.
I have not reviewed the evidence sufficiently to offer any substantial opinion for or against the official statements. That being said, when a sufficient number of qualified persons are banding together in organized form with coherent questions and in request of coherent answers on matters of such import, I think common sense dictates that adequate response must be given, or at minimum adequate reason why the inquiries are not sufficiently tenable to be given deserved attention. The official story leaves so many questions that it is more likely the result of disinformation and the fundamental attribution error than a full impartial review of evidence. Those who have fallen prey to the aforementioned error also appear so committed to their erroneous beliefs that they won't accept any evidence to the contrary, even if it's piled to the moon. It's sad, but dissonance reduction is also very human and I understand that, but it's time we had the courage to face facts and, moreover, the evidence.

It is quite evident that buildings do not collapse in that fashion; they only do so in the context of a controlled demolition, furthermore, the fact that the twin towers were SPECIFICALLY built to withstand direct impacts from multiple jet airliners, puts a 'collapse' explanation into question. There are so many more inconsistencies with the entire event: no interception of planes; explosions in the base of the towers; building 7; molten steel several stories below grade, under tons of rubble, still smoldering for several days, if not weeks; politicians told not to fly that day; extreme market movement the day before; they are the only steel frame buildings to 'collapse' due to fire, EVER! and both occurred within minutes of each other. It goes on and on, which is all very disconcerting, but there are facts and undeniable photo and video evidence to support claims of wanton demolition.

Those collapses did not look right. But I assumed that there was an intrinsic vulnerability in the structures. I assumed that all aspects of the catastrophes would be immediately and rigorously studied and all issues resolved. But I grew complacent and I slept for 7 years. I am awake now.

I want an official report on what happened up to, and after the crash and explosions. Give me reasons and proof for everything, for the symmetrical collapse of Building 7, for the explosions 95 floors down from the initial impact.

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Psychology. I worked as a research assistant for the Stress and Memory lab under Dr. Jake Jacobs and in the Anthropology Department having worked on a variety of projects.
The two biggest concerns I have with the official story is the explanation for how fast the building fell and the molten hot metal that was present at the collaps site well after the fact. There are just too many discrepencies with the official story and the facts.

I have received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine in 2004 with a 3.3 GPA. I have studied logic and science in my college career and because of my education and my rational thinking and training I have come to the conclusion that the official explanation for the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings cannot be correct and therefore is misleading to the American people and the global community.
There are far too many reasons why an independent and thorough investigation into the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings is needed. However, the forensic proof of chemicals that can be traced to sophisticated explosives should be reason enough to further an investigation. Also, the true manner in which the buildings fell is simply not in line with the official conclusion that they were caused to collapse by fire. The math just does not add up. One cannot look at the facts and science in the face and ignore the truth. The American people deserve a more thorough and impartial investigation.

I am intrigued by the way that psychological, and emotional forces can be used as a tool to help such huge populations of people bury their heads in the sand, and close their minds to information that will upset their schemas of how the country works, and how protected and secure the population can feel.
Even when watching TV on the day of 9/11, when I saw Building 7 fall I said to myself, That's not how a damaged building behaves. Further reading convinces me that there are people powerful enough to get the cooperation of many organizations in helping them cover up the killing of innocent people in huge numbers. The only way to make us somewhat safer, is to bring such people to justice, so that others with that kind of power have a disincentive to not wield that power the way it was on 9/11.
