On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

There may be a case for the collapse of the twin towers due to the strike of large scale commercial planes into the fabric of the building structure, although small, but there is absolutely no possibility that building 7 collapsed in the manner it did without help. The building was not hit by a plane and suffered relevantly minor damage from fire. Something else transpired at building 7. That opens Pandora's box. What happened, and why does the 911 commission report ignore that building collapse in totality. What happened in totality that day. What about the drills being performed by Northcom at the exact same time? What hit the Pentagon, it wasn't a commercial plane! I have four children, and all that I could ever ask for, or demand for, is the truth.

I must concur that all of the tenets of the AE911truth.org arguments for a controlled demolition of the WTC buildings 1, 2 and 7, if truthful, are all valid reasons for a more comprehensive investigation as to what actually caused the collapse of the WTC buildings 1, 2, and 7 on September 11th, 2001. I would further state that simply one of these tenets would be enough for a reinvestigation of the destruction, and that, combined, they make an overwhelming case for a reinvestigation. The implications of these allegations are far reaching and disturbing. I feel it is our duty as public servants to seek truth and in this case to expose a conspiracy that threatens not only liberty and freedom but all of the lives of the inhabitants of this planet. It definitely appears that Bldg #7 was a controlled demolition along with the other towers. It was announced on TV that #7 was going to come down and I also saw a clip of Larry Silverstein say pull it, which is a demolition term. Popular Mechanics said it was brought down by fire, which is totally contradictory to what the news and silverstein said. How could all these explosives be set for #7 between 11AM and 5:20PM? It takes weeks of planning to set explosives for demolition. This leads me to believe that the explosives were set long before 9/11. The fact that the ground was still burning up to 3 months after is also an indication that jet fuel was not the culprit. Witnesses said there was greenish smoke coming from the ground and some rescue workers said there shoes were melting. What happened to all the office furniture and door knobs in the buildings?

It was clearly a controlled demolition in all 3 buildings: WTC 1, 2, and 7. Nothing can drop to earth at the same acceleration as the acceleration due to gravity, if it has 50,000 tonnes of steel and concrete beneath it, between it and the earth. The top portion of each of the WTC twin towers fell at freefall acceleration and hit the earth in freefall time. This is a scientific impossibility under normal circumstances obeying the physical and scientific laws of nature. The only way this could physically happen following the physical and scientific laws of nature, the way we see it occur, is if the remaining portions of the buildings (floors 1~90) below the impact points, were invisible or just simply not there at all to begin with, so that when the top portion of each building began to collapse, so they could reach the earth, from the height they were at, in the time it took to reach the earth, in just under 10 seconds, is if there was absolutely nothing at all except thin air between the top portion of each twin tower and the earth. Except the floors 1~90 were there; they were not invisible. Therefore the only logical explanation is if the 50,000 tonnes of steel and concrete of floors 1~90 must have been intentionally removed out of the way extremely fast enough, such as to allow the top portions of the twin towers to reach earth at freefall acceleration from the height they were at, in just under 10 seconds. Thus, by deductive reasoning, the only possible explanation, to allow this to happen, is if the 50,000 tonnes of steel and concrete of floors 1~90 must have been intentionally demolished and pulverized in a controlled demolition by either extremely potent explosives or by some sort of high energy weapon, that basically disintegrated the 50,000 tonnes of steel and concrete of floors 1~90, which would then allow the top portions of the twin towers to reach earth at freefall acceleration, from the height they were at, in just under 10 seconds. The exact same phenomenon is the only logical explanation that would explain the collapse of WTC 7, i.e. a controlled demolition of building WTC 7, which also collapsed at freefall acceleration, even though it was never hit by an airplane.

The Pentagons strike left office furniture and a open book intact although officially - the intense fires were supposed to have vaporised metal. I am a retired Electronic Design Specialist and Computer Specialist, 53 years old, male. At my work, I used computers in design of circuits and PC boards. I also use them to consider stress forces, material suitability and sizes for construction of many types of machinery, small buildings and appropriate design factors. These are mostly small items, not large buildings, but I understand the concept behind the large building structural design. I believe that the buildings were intentionally brought down by pre-planted explosives and that the public was deceived by the use of non commercial jets. Building #7 is the Achilles heel, where you can here the count down to raze it, but it was not hit by any jet or missile. Also the Pentagon was not hit by a 767 or 757; there is just not enough of a hole in the building. I believe that it was a small cruise missile or other type of weapon.

Typically, when trying to scientifically investigate the unknown cause of an event... a hypothesis is formed and tested. If it is shown that the hypothesis cannot be disproved it can be considered a possible theory. Some theories are however, better than others. I had a college professor in structures who once said, and I paraphrase, Structures don't collapse from the mistakes that engineers design for....there are enough factors of safety to compensate for that...they collapse from what engineers completely miss designing for. - - - - When the towers collapsed, I was shocked and surprised, but attributed the collapse to the idea that...well...the engineers wouldn't have taken into account a large plane hitting them. Years later I discovered that they were indeed designed for a 707 hitting them. That got me thinking! - - Having spent many agonizing hours designing the structure for a church, I felt certain that the engineers of the towers would have overdesigned their structure to, if nothing else, still be standing until the last little old lady in a wheel chair escaped, unharmed. - - - - Call it gut feeling, with some practical engineering experience, but the idea of the tower collapses and especially the building 7 collapse being caused mainly by fires are suspect. The true cause or causes of these total failures certainly need to be re-investigated.

I observed the entire event and both collapses from my office window of 110 William Street facing West. What I saw bears no resemblance to what is portrayed as the mode of failure. When the top of the South Tower fell away to the East and down, I fully expected to see the jagged remains of the floors beneath still standing. I was taken aback when the smoke cleared and learned that the entire building had collapsed. It did not make any sense to me then and still makes no sense now.

The appearance of controlled demolition by use of explosives is more than overwhelming when viewing the collapse of the Twin Towers. The evidence of the vertical cuts on the remaing standing columns is very powerful and conclusive. I have researched jet that crashed at Skranston,PA. and find there are many inconsistencies with the crash scene as compaared to other similar jet crash scenes, the lack of black box data only being one of many. I have also researched the crash data at the pentagon site and found there many holes in the official explanation of this crash as well. There are far too many unanswered questions and omission of facts in the official reports for them to have any credibility.

The most blatant evidence that virtually anyone can understand with the help of a high school science background or reasonable common sense and intelligence is the fact that a modern steel-framed building cannot collapse at free-fall speed on its original footprint without the help of high explosives. It is apparent and obvious to any open-minded individual that all three World Trade Center buildings could not have collapsed in the manner described in the official report. All three buildings were obviously imploded in a highly technical and coordinated manner, well beyond the capabilities of any terrorist group.

The official analysis of the WTC building collapses does not account for observed data regarding the way the buildings came down. In addition, the collapse of building 7 is not sufficiently explained. It is my opinion that the simple collapse of steel columns supporting the upper portion of the two buildings (purportedly due to weakening by fire) and the subsequent fall of the upper section of each building would not generate the massive, immediate expulsion of debris in all directions from the buildings, and at the rate and distance from the buildings as was observed and recorded.

The amount of dust surrounding the buildings and as they collapsed, is evidence to me just in viewing this to prove there is no pancake theory, otherwise they would have been stacked up one on top of each other, or the wreckage would have been a huge pile of steel and broken concrete (not dust). Also, one of the towers was leaning over at quite an angle just as it started to collapse, and this leaning never continued. If it was a conventional building collapse, it would have fallen over, but it never made it to the ground without getting destroyed. Oh, and the fact that all these buildings fell at free-fall speed. Clearly controlled demolition. Building 7 is a clear example of controlled demolition, with large bangs and other claims by officials that the building was going to come down.

Because I consider the collapse of the three high rises at near free-fall speeds to be evidence of something else having gone on behind the scenes that day, most likely controlled demolition, even otherwise intelligent progressives consider me a tinfoil hatter now, most probably because of the recent National Geographic special. This is sad, but I believe that in time the psychological need to believe in the official theory will diminish, and the truth will be widely acknowledged. The most compelling evidence was broadcast worldwide repeatedly, ad nauseum. It will eventually be undeniable.

Within 10 minutes of witnessing the collapses via public television, it was obvious to me that these 3 (three) collapses were showing definitive characteristics of precise detonation demolition. AND, what's with the 3rd WTC building... that was definitely brought down by demolition charges. There's no coincidence here. Immediate doubt!

I don't believe the myths about the collapse of the three buildings. I believe it was a controlled demolition. Similarly, I don't believe that a passenger plane hit the Pentagon. I believe it was a cruise missile. I also question the rationale for a complete air defense stand down during the event.

The planes did not cause the collapse of the buildings; explosives did. The WTC buildings collapsed in a way very similar to a building rigged for controlled demolition. The official story did not adequately explain the explosions that many witnessed and heard at ground zero; the government even tried to deny it. There are just too many coincidences of events leading up to 9/11, starting with planes not intercepted to military personnel playing war games. It's not hard to see that those responsible are amongst those who benefited the most from this tragedy, including but not limited to big oil and private reconstruction contractors.

ONE steel building collapsing concentrically...very unlikely. TWO falling on their own footprint...ridiculous! THREE, on the same day in the same place? IMPOSSIBLE. For the first time in history 3 steel skeleton structures collapse for, supposedly due to some fires. But the fires are so small that they are only visible here & there. If the fires were so hot, the glass would have melted/shattered long before the steel making the so-called inferno clearly visible at every opening all around the buildings. The damage due to the planes was eccentric, so why was the collapse concentric? How did 3 steel buildings, allegedly in a condition of unstable static equilibrium, collapse in stable dynamic equilibrium? IMPOSSIBLE. I put aside all the ways in which it might have been done, Modern explosives placed at critical points would have done it. But put that all aside: The fact is that they were brought down; the physics & structural principles are incontrovertible. The method & reasons etc can be nutted out later. The 'squibs' which are officially claimed to be dust/smoke exhausting have too high a velocity for pumping exhaust...they emit at the velocity of explosive shock waves, equally all the way around. Just one other structural observation: At the Pentagon one evidence was supposed to be the bent over light-poles...so neatly leaning; from a 500mph aircraft impact?! Those light-poles would have been folded at the impact point, ripped out and left in a mangled mess some hundreds of metres away! So they were either toppled by small charges, or pulled over by ropes tied to a truck (the previous evening?). There is more structural observations I could make, but the above have not been stressed enough on your site, hence my comments. Please update your site to include/emphasize the above observations. The towers were designed to be hit by fully loaded jets. Would the designers be so negligent as to forget that those jets would be loaded out with fuel? Why have other steel skyscrapers burned, some over a dozen stories for hours and not collapsed? Why did the towers fall at free-fall speed? Why were the steel remains of the columns at bedrock melted?
