PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I have questioned the official explanation from the beginning, because the video-graphic evidence did not support the story line. It was clear to me from the beginning that the twin towers were imploded. Further, there is no engineering evidence that Building #7 would fail catastrophically from fires. It is my opinion that a third plane was scheduled to hit Building #7, but crashed in Pennsylvania instead. The implosion and subsequent lack of reporting raises too many questions to be ignored!

Have been designing building structures for 35 years both in the UK and the Middle East with local UK based consultancies and with a large project management company in Saudi Arabia. For the last 14 years, I have owned and run a structural design consultancy in Edinburgh, UK specializing in steel framed, masonry and timber building designs.
From the outset, watching the collapses on television, it was clear there were very serious questions to be asked about how three robust steel framed buildings collapsed into their own footprints, one of which had not been struck by an aircraft and had been subject to a relatively minor fire. Given the evidence from multiple witnesses regarding explosions in the buildings before and after the planes struck, the stand-down of the US air force, the admission by the owner of the buildings of the decision to demolish Building 7, the immediate removal of structural evidence, the high temperature fires in the basements, the evidence for explosive residues in dust and obvious unwillingness of US authorities to offer a reasoned and full engineering explanation for the collapses. Since 911, the two relevant UK engineering institutions have failed to provide an analysis or to offer advice to structural engineers on progressive collapse and fire protection in steel framed buildings in complete contrast to previous serious building collapses. In my opinion, the official report on the collapses, or any other that I am aware of was entirely inadequate and should be reopened to fully investigate the reasons for these building failures and offer advice and guidance on limiting risk in future, and existing, structures.

It is highly unlikely that the Twin Towers could collapse as a result of the damage from the planes and subsequent fires. At the very least, the central core would remain standing. Building 7 was obviously brought down as it was not impacted by the planes, there we no serious fires, and the landlord is heard to say pull it in a TV interview. You don't pull a 47 story building having it free fall into its footprint with a spur of the moment command.

I received an MA in Religion and Literature at the University of Chicago in 1964, and a Ph.D. in the philosophy of religion from Claremont University, Claremont, California in 1998. I taught English at Evansville College (now University) in Indiana in 1964 - 1966. I taught Religious Studies as an adjunct at Calif. State University Long Beach for two or three years in the late 1980s, and at Cal State Northridge briefly in 1993. I had known him for about twelve years because he was my dissertation advisor at Claremont; thus I was very aware that he was a brilliant, pioneering, and highly disciplined thinker. Though I am in the humanities, not the sciences, I dealt with the philosophy of science in my dissertation, and know something about the importance of evaluating the strength, or otherwise, of evidence. It is clear to me that the evidence is very strong that the Twin Towers, and Building 7, could in no way have come down in the ways that the 9/11 Commission and NIST concluded, and that a new investigation, uncontrolled by partisan political forces, is much needed. (However, I suspect a generation must pass before that is likely to take place.)

I am a graduate student at Johns Hopkins Medicine in biomedical engineering with a background in mechanical engineering and applied math. As an original New Yorker, one of my hobbies is reading and concerning myself with scientific evidence concerning the tragic events of 9/11.
Everything surrounding the destruction of the buildings has been cued as misguided to the American people. I believe with my academic background that the buildings were destroyed from an outside variable independent of the planes crashing into the buildings. It is safe to say the the buildings met no resistance while falling, a huge factor indicating that their support on every floor failed due to some unknown cause. Bradley Larson's paper Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe has scientifically documented the presence of an explosive material at the scene of the tragedy. Building 7 is also an event totally independent of any aircraft flying into the building, yet it fell with little to no resistance. I stand by my theory that the buildings in NYC on 9/11 did not fall because of aircraft impact.

As a scientist, and one trained and with years of experience in making critical observations, the moment I first watched the collapse of the Twin Towers I was convinced that it was without doubt a controlled demolition. The collapse of WTC7 that was not hit by an aircraft simply confirmed this as did George W. Bush's response (or lack thereof) when informed of the attack on the WTC. It was at that point that I realized that he already knew about it.

I have always felt like the World Trade Centers' destruction appeared more like controlled demolitions than natural collapses. Prior to 9/11, I had watched a short film on controlled demolitions because the city of Pittsburgh (where I was at the time) was planning one for their old football/baseball stadium (Three Rivers Stadium). They said that controlled demolitions IMPLODE so that they do not destroy neighboring buildings and regions, whereas natural collapses usually have a less well-contained path, falling asymmetrically towards neighboring structures.

Twenty years working with environmental issues in highway construction with a state Department of Transportation. I basically operated as a liaison between the Engineers and the Natural Resource people.
In my opinion looking at the footage of the buildings collapsing, the collapses are consistent with controlled demolition. I read initial reports of how and why the buildings collapsed. Evidence presented here compels a different interpretation and the need for independent investigation.

Was supposed to fly with friends to New York on 9/9/2001. However, I decided to not join in the last minute. A friend, who is the son of a university professor for statics, suggested immediately the official story is wrong. When I reacted first in anger and revisited the 9/11 videos in an attempt to show he was wrong, I noticed the official version could not be correct. Ever since, I tried to point this fact out to people around me, however, with little success.
The official version defies the laws of physics. Clearly it was a demolition. Nano-thermite was packed into the buildings.

Two days after the Towers came down, I knew something was wrong with the reports coming from governmental sources and the media. Since that time, I have spent countless hours researching the topic: reading books and scientific articles, attending meetings where Richard Gage and others have spoken, attending public viewings of films, and exchanging extensive information with my colleagues in science.
As someone said years ago, an eight-year old would not believe the official report about what happened to the WTC and about the other events of 9/11. There is much (dis)information on the Internet, as well as in print. I have read various alternative theories about what caused the destruction of the WTC Towers; however, I am convinced by the scientific evidence that controlled demolitions brought down the Towers--demolitions powered by thermite and nano-thermite.

The collapse of Towers I and II and Building 7 appear to have been caused by controlled demolition methods and the explosions which pulverized (vaporized?) the buildings and everything inside. From reading Dr. Harrit's explanation, nano-thermite was used to destroy the supporting steel structures. Airplane fuel fires could not have melted the steel girders and allowed the two Towers to collapse to the ground in about 10 seconds (free-fall speed); seven seconds for Building 7.
