To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

The sudden disappearance of nearly all stability in the structure of the WTC buildings can neither be explained by planes destroying some floors, nor be explained by fire damage. So the official explanation is in opposition to basic physical laws. It has to be wrong. We need a new report based on a new investigation.

It seems clear from the evidence that the 'official' version contains significantly erroneous information. The fuel load from the jets plus the fuel load from the building interiors was insufficient to result in melting of high strength structural steel. The building we impacted and damaged asymmetrically. The symmetrical collapse of both towers is improbable at the very least. Likewise, there is also no probable scenario for Building 7, given all evidence. The presence of chemical compounds indicating the presence of explosive materials used in demolition remains an unexplainable fact.

The buildings include airports, mental health facilities, courthouses, museums, large horticultural and conservatory facilities, recreation facilities, golf clubhouses, and park pavilions, to name a few. I have over 20 years experience in private practice and was an architect for a fortune 500 corporation for over 8 years. WTC Building #7 could not have fallen to the ground as swiftly as it did without assistance from some outside source other than an aircraft or falling debris. The Empire State Building did not fall to the ground when it was hit by a huge propeller driven aircraft. WTC 1 & 2 should not have fallen either. Something helped those buildings collapse on themselves, something other than those jet aircraft.

I have training in civil engineering and structural steel design; structural steel buildings do not collapse in a brittle catastrophic manner. Structural steel connections are designed to yield with plastic deformation, allowing for significant ductility/elasticity. After observing the WTC video collapses on video, I can state that it is impossible for such rapid loss of structural support to occur in the underlying floors. With fully movement-restrained connections, some mobilization of structural capacity should have occurred, resulting in a slower rate of decent, and an irregular collapse configuration.

I am not a structural engineer by training or practice, nor does my practice concern the design of structural steel buildings. Nevertheless, having basic civil engineering coursework experience (steel and r/c design, etc..) and some structural framing design experience I have harbored deep doubts about the government's explanation for these collapses since the morning of 9/11. I recall expressing then how the buildings would remain intact, even given the severe damage they had experienced, never considering that the damage inflicted could cause collapse. There is power in numbers and there is further power in the prestige and integrity of the numerous engineers, architects, and scientists who have come forward and who may yet come forward to challenge the government's explanations or lack thereof. I suggest that there are powerful computer modeling and physical testing tools that are likely being employed and may yet be employed in concert with the photographic, video, and forensic evidence to investigate how these towers collapsed, political motivations aside. I believe it is very important that these questions be addressed and support efforts to do so and thank all those who have come forward and put much time and energy into the numerous and vigorous research efforts that have already been conducted.

I'm an explorer of sorts with an eye to educating myself on the facts of any historical event. I'm self-educated and love the experience of investigation and fact finding. I love reading, writing, music, and anything that furthers the human experience. I have no degree or fancy letters before or after my name, I just love to learn and have a hunger for finding truth in everything I do in life.
Given what I've learned about false flag operations, mostly the Gulf of Tonkin incident that precipitated the beginning of the Vietnam War, I've been a doubting Thomas about the true facts of 9/11. I do not believe that two planes and 19 hijackers could plan and execute such an elaborate plan such as what happened on that devastating day. I firmly believe based on information I've sought and collected that 9/11 was an inside job. I've explored other plane crashes of the sort in Shakesville and in Washington DC and find they are not characteristic of a normal plane crash. As for what happened in New York, it is near impossible for me to believe that three buildings can come down into their own footprints without assistance. Like it has been said, why didn't those buildings fall over, or the areas above the impact zones fall off given said damage? Also, according to evidence discovered through the release of those radio calls from inside the WTC towers by the FDNY, they found only two pockets of fire that could be brought down with two lines meaning, two hoses. How could a fire needing only two lines cause such great destruction? Simply, it can't. Nowhere in the history of high rise fires has one been destroyed or caused total destruction of a building, let alone three on one day. The other thing I'd like to add is this, during the show Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, he found out that it is possible to add powdered thermite to paint and to paint walls with it when those offices in the WTC buildings became empty, unknowing renovators and painters would not know they were using a 'tainted' paint, and could therefore paint this onto the walls where a cell phone charge could be used to ignite the paint. Look at the witness reports from that day saying that plaster and drywall had been ejected from the walls into the staircases. Further, I look at the statement of William Rodriguez who worked in sub-basement 3 of 1 WTC where he said there was a 'boom' that came from below that was powerful enough to lift a two ton steel press off its moorings on the 3 basement level where he worked.

There are many opinions about what happened on 9/11. However, the stories about the building collapses all have very similar foundations. Wide spread opinion seems to be that the buildings collapses were as if set up for constructive demolition. The opinion further seems to be that a plane hitting one of these buildings should not have caused a complete collapse. Buildings of any size don't free-fall collapse in their own footprint just because a plane hits them and there is a subsequent fire. The WTC 1 & 2 were deliberately built to withstand a Boeing 747 flying into them. The official story does not ring true. The evidence does not support it. What surprises me is how easy it has been for those involved to get away with it, so far. It is a sad reflection of how profoundly sick our society has become that it can no longer differentiate between what is truthful and what is not. Society has become its own worst enemy. I live in the hope that truth and justice will prevail and that something deeply meaningful and profoundly good will come out of this crime against humanity.

Though I currently work in the field of writing (see www.word-savvy.com), I studied design and architecture at UCLA for 3 years and owned a design/build business, Design Connections, in Santa Barbara in the 90's. I also worked as a Hotel Designer for Sue Firestone and Associates.
Although I am not a structural engineer, I am disturbed by the numerous accounts by experts, including the WT Towers' designers, that the buildings could not have collapsed from the impact of the planes alone. I have read 2 books on 9/11 from Jim Marrs, researched and debated the causes of the collapse of the WTC buildings and have found that the most probable cause of their collapse is controlled demolition of the buildings.
The fact that Steven Jones has found Nanothermite in the building debris, in my view, one of the most compelling pieces of evidence that the buildings were taken down by this material in a controlled demolition.

I have experience in visual effects as well, and I know that any piece of video can be manipulated. What cannot be manipulated is the eye witness accounts of the events as they happened. Working in the film business it common to see through performances and those eye witness accounts are real. If they were acting then Hollywood would have snatched them up and put them in movies.
It is all about evidence and facts. We need to see an investigation that will take the evidence and facts and turn it into a real investigation to figure out who was really behind it. There had to be help in setting up the demolition of the buildings. It is too much of a stretch to think that Al Quida was able to set bombs throughout the buildings before September 11 and then orchestrate the planes as well. Lets look into the banks and corporations that benefit from war.

Saw the entire video on Google Video and was in agreement with the conclusions. Sent a working link to my friends, twice, right after viewing. The next day, that link information that I sent was changed and the viewing of the video was no longer available on Google Video. Same day I viewed the video, spoke by cell phone about the details to a friend and we laughed about how all our phones are tapped and that we felt like we knew what was going on and that we were vulnerable. Next day, video link was for some bogus youtube video. I will go back to http://www.ae911truth.org/ and keep you informed. We are being lied to and they are covering it up.

I'm a writer and 2D animator. Overall I'm just a regular guy but I know something's wrong when I see it.
Columns of skyscrapers are designed to absorb airplane impacts, earthquakes and have an extremely long life. I cannot imagine how an airplane constructed of aluminum would bring down structural strength steel with fuel that does not burn hot enough to melt structural steel. It is just not possible without some other catalyst. There needs to be a reinvestigation.

The collapses were too perfect...there are too many loopholes in past investigations...there is a dire need for a new, independent investigation via seasoned scientific experts, other investigators and witnesses who may shed more truthful light on 9/11. As an undergrad I had a minor in Math. I've read widely in science and technology, but I have no degree in science/technology. I was a computer programmer for 24 years. Now, writer/filmmaker.
High school physics gives you the time it will take a building 1300 feet tall to collapse = just over 9 seconds, in a vacuum. The Towers were not in a vacuum, and the floors would certainly have given a lot of resistance. Structural steel buildings do not collapse in nine seconds, on their own, into their own footprint.

I took some engineering & drafting subjects back in University, and worked in the civil engineering discipline for a railroad for a couple of years.
It seems VERY strange those buildings collapsed in the way they did. There may well have been some other factors involved other than the airplanes, in my opinion.
