To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I was suspicious about the true causes of the collapse of the WTC towers from the time I saw them fall in real time standing in my college's commons area. The way the buildings collapsed just didn't seem right to me. Didn't seem right from the get-go. Spoke to an electrical engineer during an inspection on the morning of 11 Sep 2001. He had not yet heard that the two towers had collapsed, and couldn't believe, from the simple facts we knew at the time, that aircraft impacts could precipitate a collapse of the World Trade Towers. Soon the President announced names of the highjackers who had crashed the planes, and propagated the story of Al Qaeda as the terrorism perpetrators. Right, and a highjacker left a passport that survived the pulverization of the Towers! Too many plain tall tales and improbable explanations surround the circumstances of that day. Now we can begin to understand that, as Barry Zwicker's Towers of Deception book sketches out, the traumatic shock of the spectacular experience makes the mind need explanation, and the initial propaganda catapulted by Bush and the media that most people did accept as explanation even if tentatively, causes pain when contradicted by countering evidence. Statements of the A/E professionals here provide ample brief summary of that evidence.

As I witnessed the near-free-fall disintegration of the World Trade Center Towers on 9/11/2001 I was immediately struck with the abnormality of its destruction. There was no hot fire, survivors in the towers above the point of aircraft impact were observed alive and anxious to be rescued; emergency responders in the towers reported they had contained and controlled the fire. Then a roar and one of the strongest buildings in the world (a technical marvel) disappears in monstrous cloud of dust and smoke. No building goes down like that without the use of explosives! As student of history, having researched a number of natural and man-made disasters, I question the official version(s) of the buildings' destruction; they are totally inadequate in explaining the what, why and how the towers disintegrated. Compounding this horror is the official reaction (non-reaction?) to the collapse of Building 7 later that day, an episode that begs for answers to pressing questions.

Since the attacks on 9/11 it became immediately clear that something was not right. The general public seemed to either ignore or, perhaps with shock, miss the evidence of 'foul play' that was presented during and immediately after the collapse in the statements given by observers on the ground. We can observe the collapses and listen to witness statements as much as we like thanks to the internet and form our own opinions; however conjecture from an unqualified electorate will (sadly) not be heard from the powers that be. My hope is that this movement of architects and scientists will form and present a case so strong the powers will have to listen.

Jones' lecture on the topic of the World Trade Center collapse and had my understanding of the manner in which all 3 WTC towers fell formed by that.
