On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I defer to the experts in the field. However, I do have a solid theoretical background in the fundamentals of engineering, physics and chemistry. My relevant education includes basic undergraduate courses in physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, materials science, psychology and neuropsychology. I have understanding and respect for the scientific method: the method of following the evidence wherever it may lead without prejudice or bias, to arrive at scientifically-derived conclusions, no matter how unpopular or politically incorrect they may or may not be. Science influenced by politics is not pure science; it is pseudo-science. Pure science MUST be apolitical, meaning independent of political influence at every stage. This is always a challenge for professionals, but an ideal worth striving for, both for the integrity of the discipline of science, and for the service of science to humanity.
I first learned of the twin tower collapses on one of the major TV news networks. My personal experience was one of surrealism. It felt more like a dream than reality. Immediately, the names that came to mind were Bin Laden, and Al Quada, and some time later I realized that I had been psychologically primed by the media with this information. I originally believed the story told by the mainstream media and government officials that very hot jet fuel fires caused the steel to melt and collapse. But I think subconsciously I had some reservations that the buildings could collapse at free-fall acceleration, and fall so neatly into their own footprints. I had seen demolition videos before, and the similarity was not lost on me. Many years went by and I began to see inside job bumper stickers, and internet images and stories, the first of which was the BBC story claiming that the Soloman Brothers Building (WTC 7) had collapsed even though it was allegedly visible in the background. After posting this on Facebook as a curiosity, I was contacted by a friend who had been following 9/11 truth for some time. I began my own informal research effort studying internet materials, tempered by my understanding of scientific phenomena and engineering principles. The more I researched, the more it became clear that the official story was not believable, and much of the 9/11 truth information was very plausible and realistically a much more likely explanation of events. There is much evidence to consider: eyewitness accounts of explosions, large volumes of molten metal observed streaming from at least one building both before and after its collapse, large quantities of residual heat, discovery of steel microspheres, discovery of unreacted thermite, the physics of free fall requiring zero vertical support and thus requiring ALL steel support columns to be severed simultaneously, no history of modern steel building collapses due to fire, WTC 1, 2 & 7 all collapsing in a similar manner despite differences in building structure and in structural damage, black smoke indicating a lack of oxygen and a relatively cool fire apparently not hot enough to melt steel in the volumes observed, the buildings being designed to withstand airplane impact of 10% higher kinetic energy, evidence that the government ignored warnings, and so much more... I believe the evidence supporting the case for controlled demolition is overwhelming. There are also compelling means, motive and opportunity for nefarious elements in government to carry out such an attack. At least one experimenter with videos on youtube has shown that a thermite charge placed on a steel bolt is an effective and efficient means of destruction, and offers a plausible explanation of events, and is consistent with the WTC evidence.

I don't believe that the three buildings came down as a result of fires. They were steel buildings, and, from what I have read, jet fuel does not burn hot enough to burn steel. Also, the free-fall of the buildings appear to be that of a controlled demolition, not due to fires. The buildings came down so fast, and without stopping at each floor level, which doesn't seem possible, unless the columns were pulled out, as would have been done to start a controlled demolition.

I met one of the firefighters who had been on the floor hit by the second plane. He had been injured and evacuated just before the collapse. He gave me the usual pre-Obama view of the US Government: no one who was part of the government would lie to us or do anything to hurt us, etc. And I said, Yes, but tell me what you saw. He said he saw a lot of dead bodies, lying there, not in the process of being immolated. He said that on the whole floor, there were only two fires, in separate locations. Although they were obviously too big to handle with the firefighters' backpack fire extinguishers, he said that if the water lines to the two fire hoses had been working, they could have put both fires out very quickly.

I have spent 13 years as a union-trained and educated electrician, and it amazes me that 3 buildings could collapse at free-fall speed, proportional to their size, because of fire. Steel needs a blast furnace to melt down and will not break down unless enough pure oxygen and high enough temperatures are added to it. So, according to physics, these three buildings should never have come down unless there is a missing link that has not been disclosed to the public.
Not possible without the use of explosives. Look at how much powdered concrete there is. Shouldn't that be evidence enough?

I am a commercial claims adjuster with fifteen years experience. With that experience comes the knowledge that jet fuel burns at 800 to 1500 F depending on ventilation, Steel melts at 2750F, while steel loses some structural integrity at lower temperatures, there has been no sober explanation of why the towers fell at free fall suddenly appearing to turn to dust before out eyes.
On the day of September 11, 2001 I was at my desk at a major commercial insurance carrier in Chicago. One of the largest exposures for our carrier prior to that day was a claim for asbestos removal, as the events of the day unfolded with vulgar horror before my eyes it became clear that that claim was closed. The claim was being work by a dear friend of mine who has since had a nervous breakdown due to the horror of the facts. A new one would be opened and as it turned out it would be paid at double indemnity. As myself and my coworkers watched the building fall it struck us immediately that they were controlled demolitions. We all saw the squibs and thought surely that others had as well. We as adjusters knew that jet fuel could not burn hot enough to melt steel as it is not much different than kerosene that is burned safely in steel heaters. I cannot think of this event without feeling sick to my stomach. The events of September 11th have never been truthfully publically been explained instead we have been fed lies and half truths and anybody who dared to speak up has been marginalized as a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy nuts.

When I first saw the clips of the collapse of the trade center building, I knew what happened just didn't make sense. They should not have collapsed just because aircraft flew into them, they fell too fast just as though their supports in the core had been taken out and building 7 wasn't hit by a plane but it also collapsed as though taken out by explosives planted in it's support beams. The hole in the Pentagon was too small and where was the aircraft's wings, tail and engines that should have been sheared off by the newly reinforced walls? This had to have government assistance to be able to plant explosives (thermite)to take out those buildings. This was a crime and this needs a independent investigation of the Bush, Cheney regime.

I don't buy it. Buildings are built to last not to be destroyed. Steel doesn't fail from fire alone. You need a direct source of extreme heat oxygen/acetylene with a cutting tip to direct the heat to a specific location that can weaken or fail.

As soon as i saw the towers collapse, i instinctively knew that two aircraft could not do the damage that i was witnessing, and that it also reminded me of watching buildings being professionally demolished. And when bldg. 7 was taken down, my suspicions were further aroused. Our government's immediate reaction & responses (i.e, flying all the relatives of the alleged mastermind's family safely back to their homes abroad, our attack on Afghanistan and Iraq, etc.) cemented my feelings. We must continue to educate the masses in an informed and reasonable manner. Although I have no physics or engineering degree, common sense tells me that there are glaring contradictions between the 'official' explanation and the facts presented by a number of scientists, engineers, ground zero workers - even the facts that were represented in the investigations themselves. The truth must be revealed no matter the cost or ramifications... this was the biggest crime in the history of the US and those responsible must be brought to justice.

It quickly became apparent that questioning the official conspiracy theory made you socially 'radioactive.' And I eventually came to believe that any theorizing about what might have REALLY happened, no matter how good the evidence and reasoning, would only reinforce the government and mass media story in people's minds.My only hope that the general public (and maybe the courts?) will come to demand real answers, in my lifetime, is through this organization's approach - accredited professionals questioning the weakest 9/11 conspiracy theory: the official one.

Educated for 4 years at AHO (National Collage of Architecture and Design), in Oslo. Have worked for 7 years as a designer, mainly occupied with creating interior designs for retail-businesses and for shopping-malls but also for office-space interiors, besides product-designs and packaging-designs. I was a firm believer in the official version of the 9/11 incident, until some weeks ago, when I followed a link provided by one of the participants in an internet-debate, following an article in a major newspaper in Norway. It linked to Loose Change. Needless to say, I was shocked after seeing it. The implications of the 9/11 events are so severe to our society that I had problems perceiving them. I still do, and to my surprise I found it hard even to talk to my friends about it, at first. After some further info-searches on the topic, I found a link leading to AE911truth.com. Now I have a basis of a few simple facts, involving physics at high-school level and a scientifically valid approach, which I know will lead many of my friends to look closer into this - and I won't be shy asking them to do so. Thanks to Richard Gage, and to the AE911truth.org, for breaking down some of the 9/11 events to simple facts, and for pointing out to people the ones which are the most evident.
