On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I'm just a small town architect involved primarily in the design of wood frame residential structures with nearly fifty years of experience in architecture, thirty-two as a registered architect with the last twenty-eight in a private practice I share with my partner. Because of my years of experience I was granted permission to take the professional exam on the condition I passed all of the required pre-qualifying exams, of which there were five if I recall correctly. I did so in 1980 and passed the architectural licensing exam in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1981. I have no experience with high rise structures but I do believe that logic trumps the nonsense written between the front and back covers of The 9/11 Commission Report. In my view the report is more fiction than fact.
The manner in which the towers fell could only have been through controlled demolition. I've witnessed enough of them through videos and even in person to know this. Initially I presumed the attack, blamed on radical Muslims, was blowback for the horrific foreign policy of the US government. My belief that the attack was blowback has not diminished in the light of new evidence which suggests factions in the US government had prior knowledge of the attacks and not only did nothing to prevent them but complemented them to stage the catastrophe that would ensure the nation's sympathy for a Middle east confrontation. I stand by my belief today that the correct response to this criminal act would have been to find and prosecute the culprits, foreign and domestic, responsible for those acts of terrorism. The actual path chosen only reinforces my belief that the US government played a significant role.

I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. I managed large gun programs for the military. I have experience in root cause analyses when the unanticipated occurs.
Here is my synopsis of the situation: 1. The 3 World Trade Center buildings that collapsed were designed to withstand commercial jet impact and the subsequent fire. Unless the design margins were compromised, they should not have collapsed. 2. If the design margins were compromised, and they were reason for the collapse, the buildings would still not have collapsed in the extremely controlled fashion that was observed. Thus, design margin does not appear to be the cause of the collapses. 3. In searching for a plausible cause, the evidence first pointed to explosives. Evidence of explosions was provided by the numerous people that reported hearing them, by the evidence of high velocity radial trajectories of debris, and by the degree to which the debris field was pulverized. 4. The evidence then pointed to demolition-class explosives. Evidence of demolition-class explosives was provided by people seeing molten steel in a fire that should have been at least 1000 F below steel's melting point, by the debris field being permeated by bb-sized steel-based spheres that shouldn't have been 'vaporized', by the presence of elements unique to a demolition-class explosive in the debris field, and by the fact that all 3 buildings 'free fell' to the ground as if their infrastructure had suddenly disappeared (as is typical of demolition). 5. The evidence finally pointed to the use of military-grade demolition-class explosives. 6. If the conclusions from this evidence prove true, and to date they have not been refuted, the group of people responsible for the destruction of the WTC buildings remain at large, and the threat that destroyed the WTC buildings remains. 7. Unfortunately, the official root cause report does not account for the use of explosives at all. 8. For the United States to hold its own in a rough world, the reality of the situation must be irrefutably determined, and appropriate corrective actions taken. The current official report may be right, incompetent, or a cover-up. If the current official report does not withstand challenge, and the demolition claim stands, corrective actions must be taken against the people responsible, as well as the people that authored the root cause report, either for incompetence or for a willful cover-up. To do otherwise is to encourage a repeat performance.

There are many news clips where police and fire personnel state that there were many explosions before the buildings collapsed. The owner of the WTC buildings states during an interview that he gave the order to pull WTC 7 hours after the planes hit the other two towers. It takes days of preparation to pull a building like WTC 7. BBC reported that WTC 7 collapsed before it was actually demolished. The official story is nonsense.

Watching the WTC twin towers destruction, live on television, I was of course shocked thinking of the lives that were lost at that moment. I also thought that the engineers that constructed the building must have made a terrible structural error. Two months ago I saw a video of WTC 7 for the first time from the events on 9/11/2001, and I got an awful feeling. I realized immediately that I was watching a preplanned destruction of the building. What was shown was simply not something that a terrorist organization could accomplish. The only organization that had the sophistication to pull off what happened on 9/11 are sitting in the White House in Washington D.C. This compelled me to search on the internet to learn more about the events surrounding 9/11. It is too obvious that the facts presented by ae9/11truth.org and 911truth.org are a frightening reality that one day, all of us must accept. The question to answer now is; what can I do about it? As an individual there is little I can do, especially when the Congress of the United States are somehow controlled and manipulated. As a member of a group, we may be able to take action that will save the United States of America from a future far away from peace, freedom, and democracy.

I watched the event on live TV. The loss of life and impact on society was staggering to say the least. However, the extent of the investigation did not match the magnitude of the event. The scientific method was not applied. All possibilities were not examined thoroughly. The final report was not peer reviewed. The final report should have been vetted by other independent scientists, engineers etc. Any scientific professional should be appalled by the blatant disregard for the code of ethics and conduct. It challenges the integrity of our profession as a whole. It is our responsibility as scientific professionals to stand up for the integrity of our profession. It is our duty to keep the public safe by using sound scientific and engineering practices. We owe it to ourselves and most of all we owe it to the public, especially the victims and their families, to conduct a detailed and thorough investigation into the destruction of WTC 1,2 and 7.

I viewed the towers by a production company called Loose Change. You don't have to be a trained architect or engineer to receive evidence and rationally interpret it to the point of being convinced that we are being lied to by our government related to the events of 9/11. If the official story is true, they shouldn't mind proving it. Basic principles of criminal investigation tell you that. This isn't rocket science!
Two years after 9/11 happened the question that drove me into my own research was a simple one: Why would all these firemen run into these buildings if they thought they might collapse (the heroics not withstanding). The first answer I found was, no similar building had ever collapsed due to fire in the history of the world. And I was off on my investigation!

It is intuitively realized and supported by the excellent work of countless professionals and citizens that the administration under the tutelage of V.P. Dick Cheney are the responsible party. Upon analysis of the various video footage available there is little doubt that all three buildings were brought down in a controlled demolition.

I have no engineering/architecture experience at all. But, I did get through college and consider myself fairly bright and academically well-rounded.
The entire government story has holes. From how the terrorists evaded government agencies and security, how they got aboard the plane, hijacked the planes and got control of the aircraft (without any of the pilots hitting an SOS button), performed maneuvers that would take years of training, knocked three steel framed buildings down with fire is invalid, all the to how the FBI knew the names and addresses of all the terrorist by the evening of 9/11. Anyone who believes the government story probably doesn't know the entire story.

The buildings did not fall in the way I expected as a result of the damage received. It never really sat right with me. I think further independant investigation is required. Maybe a scale model and simulation could better duplicate what should have happened if the structural steel is heated to the failing point

I have been questioning the events on 9/11 and the official version of what happened since the day of the event. Not only the towers collapsing, but also the 7th tower and it's total absence in the media and 9/11 commission report. Also the plane that hit pentagon that had no wings and evaporated inside the building leaving nothing but some hubcaps and of course some passports of the terrorists aboard. Too bad the guy they tried to pin it on, was still alive. And why won't they release the security tapes that would confirm the plane hitting pentagon? Is it too harsh for the public? After seeing the planes that hit WTC??? COME ON!!! When it comes to the carefully planned controlled demolish of the WTC towers 1 & 2 as well as building 7 there can be no doubt. After seeing all the evidence, all the footage of the buildings coming down and hearing all the specialists and experts repeatedly confirming the impossibility of this destruction without careful planning and careful execution, I'm now 100% convinced that the 9/11 events were fixed. How convenient that files that were going to be used in law-cases against Enron and other corporations were destroyed in these collapses. Please succeed in the fight for an independent investigation of the events of 9/11
