PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I worked in the World Trade Center for several years. It was seen by many as a trusted feat of engineering, but more importantly a safe place to work and view the City - even in sever windy weather. Not knowing, for sure, why it collapsed will forever leave scars and breed doubt about the safety of such structures. Not only those who lost love ones, but those who place their trust in new structures, need to know that everything of conjecture was thoroughly reviewed; that design, fabrication, and operation of new buildings breed out whatever weaknesses that could lead to such a collapse. The evidence clearly leaves in doubt that this was not done. Trust in our government is just as important. As it stands, how can the public trust their elected officials or appointed staff? A new, properly conducted investigation is critical to all concerned!

Didn't seem right from the get-go. Spoke to an electrical engineer during an inspection on the morning of 11 Sep 2001. He had not yet heard that the two towers had collapsed, and couldn't believe, from the simple facts we knew at the time, that aircraft impacts could precipitate a collapse of the World Trade Towers. Soon the President announced names of the highjackers who had crashed the planes, and propagated the story of Al Qaeda as the terrorism perpetrators. Right, and a highjacker left a passport that survived the pulverization of the Towers! Too many plain tall tales and improbable explanations surround the circumstances of that day. Now we can begin to understand that, as Barry Zwicker's Towers of Deception book sketches out, the traumatic shock of the spectacular experience makes the mind need explanation, and the initial propaganda catapulted by Bush and the media that most people did accept as explanation even if tentatively, causes pain when contradicted by countering evidence. Statements of the A/E professionals here provide ample brief summary of that evidence.

I then moved on to performing structural analysis/ design for the same firm, and finally ended up as a manager in charge of demolition projects for a Natural Gas equipment company, where I worked for 8 years. I have since moved on to being self-employed in an unrelated field.
The buildings that fell on 9-11-01 appeared to me, to fall at near FREE FALL speed. Without performing any experiments or calculations, and just relying on pure, old fashioned common sense, this is not possible in a steel building .... even one that had the structure weakened by fire. If the Pancake theory is correct, it stands to reason the resistance that the falling mass would encounter as each floor collapsed, would slow down the fall, at least intermittently. I simply DO NOT believe the official report and would like to see a new independent investigation.

I accepted the government's conspiracy story as given out by the main stream media and did not give much, if any, thought to it until a neighbor on March 1, 2006 brought me a story from the Desert Morning News in SLC, Utah. It was dated 1-28-06. I contacted the journalist and asked if there were any other stories and she sent me two others. After reading them and finally thinking about it and based on my engineering education and experience, I realized that we have been lied to and that there was a coverup. For instance if the floors pancaked and fell one on the other from the fires, which could not possibly melt and cut the steel, the 47 massive columns over a quarter mile high would still be standing! There was no forensic investigation and the steel fell in lengths that could be loaded and trucked to the west coast and shipped to Asia. Also the R9/11 Commission report did not mention the 47 story WTC 7, which fell the afternoon that the two towers fell in the morning! A sure sign of a false report. My opinion is that the 3 WTC buildings fell as a result of planted cutting charges - an inside job. Regarding the Pentagon, I believe from the size of the hole in the ext. wall and lack of airplane debris, that it must have been a missile. As for the 4th plane that supposedly crashed near Shanksville, PA, there was only a smoking hole in the ground and all the debris was scattered over a very wide area so it must have been shot down.

I am a regular person who has looked at the available evidence put forth suggesting a new, independent, investigation into the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. I feel that the accepted story of Buildings 1 and 2 collapsing, and especially Building 7, due to fire is contrary to the expected behavior of those buildings. The proof say's it all, anybody with half a brain can see that it was a demo. Granted they put forth time to investigate the facts. Even a layman can see that the buildings had to have had explosions on the lower levels. Also, the temperatures were not hot enough to melt the beams. I didn't see the second Tower fall, live on TV as many did. I was late to the tragic events of the day. But by noon, I was riveted to the TV. Some of the comments I heard by people like Dan Rather was that the fall of the Towers was like a controlled demolition. Then, incredibly, I saw Building 7 fall, live. Uh oh, I thought, THAT didn't look right. So, I anticipated much discussion in the media about 7s impossible collapse,,, as in there definitely were demolition devices used. But the next day and ever since, the mainstream media has said not one word about building 7. Ever since then, I've been very receptive to the fact that someone other than the 19 named individuals did the deed.

In reading news accounts and articles on the Internet and in viewing videos of the the events of 9/11/01, I have found more than enough evidence to justify a thorough examination of all circumstances and events of that day. Molten metal, thermite traces and residue, multiple reports of explosions and injuries from them, puffs of smoke, unaccountable activities and noises throughout the buildings before the 9/11 incident, the pulling of building seven with no attempt to extinguish fires--none of these things make sense.

I have not been confident in accepting the official 9/11 reports given by the commercial media.
