PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

The number of people who died or suffered as a direct result of 9/11, is serious enough, but the death and destruction in Iraq and Afghanistan, estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands, demands some justice for the perpetrators. With respect to the future welfare of our children and grand children, the in-your-face destruction of our nation since 9/11 is a major concern. We are at great risk of losing our free society if we do not get active to prevent the loss.

The evidence captured of the collapse on video is extremely strange, i.e. the windows exploding 20 stories and more below where the building was falling, free fall speed, and no evidence of any concrete floor and/or metal deck! If the building pancaked then where are the floor plates? Why was the steel never investigated and why was it sold to the Chinese so quickly? Too many things were covered up to not believe this was a conspiracy!

From and engineering standpoint, I believe the most powerful evidences against the official theory are as follows: 1) Molten and glowing steel under all 3 piles of rubble found months later. This would be impossible if the only thing burning were smothered remnants of office supplies and remnants of jet fuel which mostly burned off in the first few minutes. Temperatures of combustion of such an oxygen starved fuel could not even make steel glow. 2) The inability of the remnants of jet fuel and office supplies to provide sufficient heat to significantly weaken key structural members evenly to the point of failure. 3) The towers falling at near the acceleration of gravity into their own footprint. Even if the impacted floors somehow gave way due solely to fire, they certainly would not give way at the same time all around the structure. One side would have been weaker than another causing that side to fail first causing the upper structure to tip over imparting rotational momentum to the upper structure and shifting the CG away from the stronger side and onto the weaker side causing the weaker side to collapse faster... and so on until the tops of the buildings toppled over. There is no way an uncontrolled demolition would be so neat as these were. The mass and structure below the failure point would have absorbed enormous energy and momentum slowing the fall to significantly less than the acceleration of gravity. 4) Building 7 sustained minimal damage with only a few cool fires and its collapse has yet to be explained officially. 5) The many vertical structural members would have no cause to buckle and shear off at 45 degree angles. If the floors were to pancake as supposed, they would have had to shear off of the vertical supports leaving hundreds of feet of beams sticking up in the air. ...and I could go on...

A practicing engineer for 3 decades and an avid student of engineering nearly my entire life, I have analyzed, designed and studied structures of all types, sizes and materials. I have not been directly involved with the design and construction of high rise steel frame, concrete core buildings. However, I have over the years designed steel framed facilities of every sort and have worked on a number of low rise steel and concrete office buildings. I have followed closely the official story of September 11, 2001 with a very keen interest as it pertains to my structural engineering profession.
Since shortly after 9/12/01, I have considered WTC 7 to be an intentional and very well executed controlled demolition. Every bit of evidence I have seen since that day has only solidified this belief. I withheld my opinion about the other WTC buildings until the 'official' building 7 story was released. I had decided that if the NIST report acknowledged the controlled demolition of WTC 7, I would grant latitude to the rest of the report. But it was all or nothing. That is the degree of my certainty about the fate of building 7. The official story of WTC 7 did not conclude it was a controlled demolition. Therefore, I find the entire 'official' NIST report subject to scrutiny. I assume that anything questionable in it is patently false until scientifically proven otherwise to my analytical satisfaction. This is the depth of distrust the building 7 story has created in me.

The offical explanations of the collapses of WTC 1, 2, and 7 are totally implausible. The extreme symmetries could be attained only by controlled demolitions of remarkable precision. Nonlinear dynamic systems are almost always chaotic, so the towers should have warped slightly in complex ways, but probably without collapsing. For all practical purposes, the investigation that needed to be done has been done, but by private individuals rather than the so-called authorities.

I have studied what I consider to be the phenomena of the collapse of WTC buildings 1,2 and 7 for 7 years now. Given the scientific findings found in the ash debris, the video evidence, and known laws of physics, I have concluded it impossible that WTC buildings 1,2, and 7 collapsed due to fire itself. My Father was a physicist and an Army Lifer. I was taught to observe pragmatically, rather than allow my opinion to be swayed by others.
I lived on 2 SAC bases in the 1960s, and it seems that I always knew that the skies over the U.S. were guaranteed safe, by virtue of the fighters scrambled when any airplane deviated from its flight plane and did not have an instant explanation. I was always told that any aircraft could be intercepted within 10 to 15 minutes of the decision to scramble. Then, one fighter on each side, the wing-waggle, visual contact with pilot, another warning and, if there was no response, or the response was not acceptable, they'd blast them out of the sky. Fairly straightforward. So, when I knew that air traffic controllers knew, and nothing scrambled, I had my doubts. After the aircraft hit the WTC, and air traffic knew there was something (supposedly another commercial jetliner) headed for D.C., and nothing scrambled to intercept, I knew it was bogus. I knew that the burning of jet fuel and office furniture, at their maximum, could not have produced enough energy to pulverize those buildings into talcum powder-sized bits. I'm also a geology student, and the speed at which those super-heated clouds of pulverized debris engulfed the area looked suspiciously like pyroclastic flow - again, NEVER the product of a jet fuel fire. Then, just watching #7, in particular--it was so obvious.

It's quite obvious that the planes and fire did not bring down the towers - towers adsorbed the impact without ant trouble, fire not hot enough to cause metal fatigue. It's also plain that a jet did not plunge into a western Pa. field - no litter at the site. From the size and shape of the hole in the Pentagon, it's clear that it a plane didn't hit it - lack of debris.

My father was in the military, when the event occurred, and his office was in charge of moving the debris from ground zero to a sorting area. Seeing what he did was the first time I felt interested in what had happened and I have been trying to learn as much as possible since.
I have no degree or experience in architecture or demolition and I cannot help but feel we need more investigation into the collapse of the towers and building seven.

I travel quite a bit and have often found myself in conversations with people from other countries where I dismissed any conspiracy theories as small minded anti-American thinking. I really didn't want to believe it.... and I was so saddened after researching and looking at all of the facts surrounding the event. I was in advanced physics classes in high school and have plans to pursue a college education in physics/engineering. Currently work in landscape/hardscape design/construction and taking classes.
From the day the towers were struck and then collapsed I recall a couple memories that stick out. First is that I was amazed at how shocked, devastated, and concerned almost everyone around me was. It was almost as if these people were having some surreal reality check, as if world war 3 was starting or as if they had some prior fairy-tale notion that something like this could never happen in the U.S. I only mention this because, although it is not any sort of science-based argument, it does show shocked people were. The shocked element is important because based on how much the events affected people emotionally, it seems more likely for the finger to be pointed quickly and at an easy target and without much scepticism. The country wanted swift and strong justice. The second thing I recall going through my mind on that day was how could these planes, which were nothing in mass compared to the buildings; and produced about the same percentage of visible damage, bring down such massive structures? I am no conspiracy theorist, but I am not one to trust the words of others without any sort of evidence and especially when they don't make any sense to me. Nothing about our government's course of military action after 9/11 makes sense. What does make sense watching the three towers collapse is that they clearly looked like planned demolition implosions, and after seeing some forensic evidence (at least on video) I don't have any doubt provided the evidence is real. The hardest part about this seems to be that media was the tool that was used to make the general perception what it is today and in order to convince most people of the truth you have to point some blame in that direction while the only effective tools to do this are the very same forms of media.
