PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I've studied modern architecture and skyscraper design and passed several structural engineering courses in college; the official 9/11 story seems unlikely. I've also studied studied politics and history, and as a member of the US military I have serious reservations regarding the official reported causes of 9/11. Even if the attacks were totally unexpected, and there was no civil defense plan for such events (like NY airbases or ground-to-air missiles), and there were no CIA or other black operations involved, we should still ask some questions: How did the towers collapse straight down as though planned to minimize damage to surrounding buildings? Why was the debris removed so expediently? Was it embarrassment? Quick cleanup to save our suffering the images of burning towers? Was it too expensive to renovate the buildings later? To avoid controversy and investigation they were removed from view asap, but by whom? FEMA? The building owners? There are many unanswered questions, from the Bush - bin Laden connection, to the FEMA - tower connection. Even if one structure failed from the attacks, the chances that all three buildings would pancake seems like nonsense. Perhaps one could pancake for multiple stories, but at a point the consistent fall would become lopsided due to the probability of resistance from numerous structural members, and develop a natural tilt. This tilt would produce torque, or rotational movement about points, and the laws of physics would tend to bring the forces down in faster ways to the sides, rather than through the entire strength of the remaining body of the building firmly rooted by numerous supports, including a central concrete elevator and stair core, and on a solid foundation.

WTC 1, 2, and 7;s near free fall speed collapse does not make sense. There is video footage of the second tower being hit that captures a quick glimpse from behind other buildings, yet the pentagon strike does not show anything but an explosion. How does the most guarded building in the world get hit by anything, and if it does, why isn't there a thousand videos of it? Bush and Cheney testifying together for the 9/11 Commission? They seemed like they had a lot to hide. The hole in the pentagon wasn't big enough to prove a jumbo jet flew into it. Removal of WTC debris (evidence) is against proper procedures.

Bldg. 7 collapse was a miracle occurring only two other times in the history of modern architecture and all 3 occurring on 9/11/01. I was 16 when the towers fell. As per protocol of the school system, I was taken from class to homeroom to watch the events of 9-11, that morning, live. Sitting there, while some gasped, some horrified, I was laughing at what I thought was the biggest media lie I've ever heard. When the twin towers fell, my first thought was, how much explosives does it take to make a concrete waterfall of that proportion? I've grown up knowing the secret to youth - question EVERYTHING. So I questioned this event thoroughly. By the next year, for my senior term paper, I wrote a 12 page (the maximum we were allowed) paper documenting (just the tip of the iceberg of) the attack on the WTC, from my view. Some of the only books available at that point, disputing the towers fall, were Noam Chomsky's 9-11, and a few other reports I was able to access through the schools online database of magazines/publications/reports. So, in May of 2003 when I presented the material (of which my grade was a 97% A) I was met with a foulness from my peers, but I hope sincerely that the seed of disbelief -of media, the government, and others - might have them question and join the cause to find the real reasons the towers fell, and who was behind it. Married to an architect and we both find the 9/11 incident questionable and worthy of an investigation not done by special interest groups the standing investigation was.
There are enough witnesses that heard and felt explosions inside the World Trade Centers prior to the planes hitting them. This is something that needs to be investigated and these people need to be heard.

I am most disturbed by the makeup, investigation and published results of the 9/11 Commission. The commission was composed of 11 politicians hand picked by the administration, who then fought to restrict access to information. The commission itself said it was not to assign blame. Many credible witnesses were never interviewed. The commission never commented on the collapse of WTC Building 7. Clearly this was a biased investigation by non-experts to arrive at a pre-determined conclusion.
