PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

In 1993, Brian Thompson joined the local combination volunteer fire department, working beside Seattle firefighters and trained at the Washington State Fire Academy. Seven years later, he earned his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Marquette University, including a 12-month internship in fire protection engineering at a consultancy in downtown Chicago. For the next 2 years he continued to work as a volunteer firefighter. Thompson then attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) where he earned his Master's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering. While at WPI, he attended Professor Jonathan Barnett's building fire safety lecture on the first anniversary of 9-11, in which Barnett describing his involvement and experience as a FEMA investigator, and their findings. The lack of the FEMA team's ability to conduct a proper investigation of the original collapse conditions, the explanation developed by the FEMA team, and the subsequent contradictory conclusion by NIST, raised questions. In an effort to answer these questions, I have researched various information and data compiled by others. My research has left these questions unresolved, and reinforced my doubt in the official story regarding the cause of collapse for both WTC towers and Building 7.

What I saw perplexed me as from my background, I determined that a 757 could not have possibly fit into a 16-foot hole and leave little to no debris field at that. Afterwards, I contacted a friend who works for a governmental agency (commercial building engineer) and asked him how it is possible that aviation fuel could burn hot enough to 'melt' the steel trusses and supposedly causing a 'pancake' collapse. Then I asked him how WTC 7 fell. He only answered that fires were hot enough in WTC 7 to cause its collapse. The last time I spoke to him was in 2001 and he will not return my phone calls. He defended the WTC 1 & 2 official 'pancake' explanation. I've since listened and printed out many theories as to why these buildings fell. Steven Jones suggestion about thermite or thermate is intriguing. Others have suggested a mini-nuke device was implanted at the base of the buildings. It is obvious WTC 7 was a controlled demolition. But I wanted to hear from the experts, such as those on this site. My biggest objective now is to find out why the evidence was removed before experts could examine it - especially the steel. Why did fires keep burning under the rubble for over a month? But most important is why the investigations are being obviously covered-up. This is why I appreciate your site and will gladly sign the petition.

However I do thoroughly understand the laws of physics, building geometry, and materials of construction, and I agree with many other engineers' opinions that the towers would not fall the way they did from a single impact. I had a strong focus on Natural Sciences including Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry in high school, which I have found more than sufficient to realize that the official explanation for the cause of the collapses is unsatisfactory. Additionally, I am a member of Mensa - the high IQ society - which I believe is suggestive of an ability for logical reasoning.
My main concerns are: 1. The speed at which the buildings fell - with no signs that there was any force decelerating the fall, which one would expect given that all floors below the impact floors were unaffected by the fire and therefore should have provided strong resistance to a downward force. 2. The direction in which the buildings fell - given that the plane impacts and resulting fires have been regarded as the key to the collapse of the Twin Towers the only kind of collapse I would have potentially regarded as possible would have been for the top parts of the buildings to have fallen in the direction of where the plane entered the building as this area would have been the most severely damaged and the part with the most significant structural weakening. Rather, the resulting was not in line with what the laws of physics would suggest given that the building fell in the direction where it should have encountered most resistance had the total of more than 200 steel columns (of which 47 were located in the center) not lost their bearing capacity at the same time. 3. The fact that WTC 7 collapsed at all - In addition, the collapse had the same two characteristics that highlighted above as my key concerns around the collapses of the Twin Towers. 4. The fact that there have been recordings of a very large number of witnesses that experienced the attack and said that they heard, saw and even were injured by explosions inside the Twin Towers. Yet, the official reports have not even made an effort to establish whether or not this is true. 5. The presence of molten steel in the bottom of the rubble of all three buildings. This is very key and yet no official explanation has been given as to what could have caused this. Yet, the presence of molten steel is evident that something burning with a much higher temperature than Jet Fuel (or any other products found in an office) was present. 6. The removal/destruction of the rubble. In my view every single piece of the buildings should have been kept and carefully investigated. Given that the official theory suggests structural failures light-years beyond anything the world has ever witnessed or experienced before one would think that every inch of all steel would be carefully analyzed to determined what caused such unprecedented collapses of buildings to make sure that nothing similar ever happens again, and so that other high-rise buildings can be reinforced.

I do not have a degree of any kind - I only know what my heart tells me, and my heart tells me there were so many who needlessly died that day, and many more died, and continue to die even today as a result of that day.
In viewing the numerous videos of the planes going into the Towers, rocket fuel and other fuels differ in color, which led me to believe there was something more than just the fires from the planes. Also, the fact that all planes were grounded except for a plane picking up the Bin Laden family in the hours following the attack was suspect, since Bin Laden hadn't yet taken credit for the destruction. The fact that the scene of the crime hadn't been processed and the destruction was carried away so hastily was also suspect. In an old movie, The Long Kiss Goodnight, the World Trade Center was a government-planned attack used to get a blank check from Congress for the defense budget - I don't think this was any different. I always knew in my heart that there was WAY more to this than a Holy War, considering we funded Bin Laden years ago.

When I first saw the video of Building 7 collapse, I understood, even as a layman without training in architecture, physics or building demolition, that something was very, very wrong. It was so symmetrical when it fell, it looked planned...Why did the government haul away evidence so quickly? Why did the government ignore the warnings that the attacks were coming? Why did the government lie about Iraq's involvement in the crime of 9/11? If we don't get to the truth of this crime, I believe the U.S. will never recover. I've longed believe this.

Hi, I am a dental student set to graduate in 2014. I trained in biochemistry in undergrad with a heavy emphasis on tertiary protein structure. Some of my research includes modification of the GFP protein through PCR and varies other techniques. We are regular people who in retrospect have become untrusting of the official story of 9/11. It seems improbable that planes alone could bring down such large buildings. These attacks were used as justification for two long and bloody wars, especially bloody for the native peoples of the countries we invaded, and I want better evidence from our government that these wars we are fighting are justified by a true terrorist attack.

It does not take an architect or an engineer to question the probability of the twin towers falling due to extreme heat caused by jet fuel. The towers fell just as professionally demolished buildings do, they nearly free fell. There is no possible way for the entire steel structure of those buildings to lose most of their integrity in an instant by a fire, 90 stories above, regardless of the weight of the stories above, and regardless of how hot it was.

WTC 1 and 2 withstood the impact of the aircraft, as they were designed to do. The fuel fire was clearly extinguishing rapidly. Another source of high energy produced large explosions. Then additional explotions preceeded down the building columns. Clearly this type of energy source does not exist in a common skyscraper. The only possible explanation is that a carefully planned demolition was carried out. This is true with WTC 7 as well.

Hello. I am a tradesman, a structural welder who cuts, shapes, and fuses metals together. I know how heat affects metal, and the temperatures associated with these processes. In these cases, any momentary loss of heat to your workpiece sets you back, or won't give you the results you expect. It has to be hot enough and consistent to achieve your result. Especially in the case of cutting steel beams and heavy material. The heat is constantly being drawn away from your cut by the cooler metal surrounding it. You have to have intense heat not being interrupted, to achieve a decent cut. If I don't have my flame set just right on my cutting equipment, it will not cut properly or at all. The ideas presented that these Tower fires were hot enough and consistent enough to weaken or cut those huge beams is absurd.
