On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

My education and experience relate to the properties of materials used in building port, harbor, and bridge infrastructure. I was trained in arctic engineering in Alaska, where I worked on the Alaska pipeline project for Bechtel. My job included monitoring controlled demolition work to create a cut at the summit of the Brooks Range, in preparation for road and pipeline construction.
Like others who have commented I also have a huge question about how WTC building 7 came down later in the afternoon of September 11th. By visual observation, all three buildings exhibited free fall characteristics very similar to characteristics of a controlled demolition. Reviewing literature that described the structural members I have serious doubts regarding the free fall collapse of the interior columns of WTC 1 and 2 buildings over a distance of close to 100 floors as a result of a limited amount of jet fuel. It seems more likely that the majority of fuel burned quickly near the point of impact, consistent with other aircraft crashes. The huge fireball and black smoke observed shortly after the impact suggests the majority of fuel burned quickly and the fire became oxygen depleted. There was likely not enough fuel reaching the lower floors to cause a complete collapse of either building. There were reports of nanothermite in the dust, of molten steel in the basement, and of local fires burning for a week or more after the event. There were reports of multiple and sequential explosions. Some explosions were even reported prior to the impact of the aircraft. These facts all raise more questions about how the buildings may have actually been brought down.

From the very first moment I saw the images on the TV of the towers falling, I felt there must be some reason for the collapse other than the plane crashes and resulting fires in the buildings. It seemed to me that the damage would be limited to floors where the planes hit and the fire was able to spread and therefore any collapse would be partial, but not total. I also wondered how the failure of this magnitude was possible when buildings are designed with redundant fire and structural systems to address instances specifically like this event.

I concluded early on that the official explanation, even before the 9/11 Commission report, did not add up. The first couple of items that I found suspicious were 1) the pulverizing of the concrete and 2) the free fall of the Towers in less than 10 seconds. Since 2001 I have read many books on the subject starting with Painful Questions by Eric Hufschmid, The New Pearl Harbor by David Ray Griffin (I saw him speak in Berkeley a year ago with Peter Phillips) and Towers of Deception by Barrie Zwicker the latter of which included the CD The Great Conspiracy. From the latter book I agreed with the author (and Richard Gage whom I heard on KPFA today) that there needs to be another, more thorough, investigation of the events of 9/11/2001. To add to my list of suspicious items, I saw a public showing of a CD, in 2004, where the focus was on experienced criminal investigators and how they were making the case about the rapid shipment of the steel from the Towers to India and China and that act was destroying evidence at the scene of a crime. I worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center from 2001-2005. I was amazed how otherwise very savvy physicists and engineers didn't want to entertain the thought, or evidence, that the official explanation did not add up. They willingly accept the official pancake theory. I have my own theory about their willingness to accept the official explanation. Several years ago I came across a term called cognitive dissonance. The psychological description goes like this: the term describes an uncomfortable mental tension that arises from results from having two (or more) conflicting thoughts at the same time i.e. The Towers falling was a bad, terrible event and My government is here to help me and they couldn't have had anything to do with the destruction of the Towers.

I have no professional experience in this field but as a business owner I can tell you that there is no way I would not take a insurance claim if there was a act of terrorism against my property. There has never been a building that has collapsed at free fall speed from anything other than demolition. Building 7 fell from demolition, period. Lies were told, families lost, wars started, the way we lived has changed entirely and we are supposed to not ask questions? The Pentagon has over 300 cameras surrounding the building and they don't have any clear images of a commercial airliner hitting it? As a trader I follow option volumes, the puts bought just prior to 9/11 were more than 5000% higher than the average daily puts. Someone knew this was going to happen and made millions on it.

To see a building fail seems to contradict the laws of physics. I remember studying how trusses were installed and if one failed the whole roof was designed to stay. I figure if a residential house has structural regulations to keep the structure from failing that a large building like the World Trade Centers would have had more.
