PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

Being responsible from the conceptual stage to completion I have led project teams with colleagues from all over the world. In 2001 I was working on a project that included 2 identical 21-floor apartment towers in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. One morning I had a discussion with the Fire Department regarding the fire equipment in the buildings. The firemen insisted that the capacity of the water-pump had to be twice as much as designed. They reckoned with simultaneous fires in both towers. I considered their demand to be too much, because in my opinion the chance of a fire in both towers at the same time would be so negligible small that a more economic pump would be sufficient. The firemen held their position. It was September 11, around 10 AM GMT. Less than 4 hours before the tragedy at the WTC...

After sifting through a lot of nonsensical material about the events of 9/11, for me the website of AE911Truth provided the most trustworthy arguments, leaving me with only one conclusion: the official explanation is a lie. And because of this lie the 21st century has turned into a nightmare for the entire world. I hope the alarm clock of truth will wake up all of us soon.

I've studied modern architecture and skyscraper design and passed several structural engineering courses in college; the official 9/11 story seems unlikely. I've also studied studied politics and history, and as a member of the US military I have serious reservations regarding the official reported causes of 9/11. Even if the attacks were totally unexpected, and there was no civil defense plan for such events (like NY airbases or ground-to-air missiles), and there were no CIA or other black operations involved, we should still ask some questions: How did the towers collapse straight down as though planned to minimize damage to surrounding buildings? Why was the debris removed so expediently? Was it embarrassment? Quick cleanup to save our suffering the images of burning towers? Was it too expensive to renovate the buildings later? To avoid controversy and investigation they were removed from view asap, but by whom? FEMA? The building owners? There are many unanswered questions, from the Bush - bin Laden connection, to the FEMA - tower connection. Even if one structure failed from the attacks, the chances that all three buildings would pancake seems like nonsense. Perhaps one could pancake for multiple stories, but at a point the consistent fall would become lopsided due to the probability of resistance from numerous structural members, and develop a natural tilt. This tilt would produce torque, or rotational movement about points, and the laws of physics would tend to bring the forces down in faster ways to the sides, rather than through the entire strength of the remaining body of the building firmly rooted by numerous supports, including a central concrete elevator and stair core, and on a solid foundation.

I am recently retired from a 30-yr career as a structural engineer in the military defense aerospace industry, holding DoD Secret Clearance throughout. My academic training was in civil structural engineering, and while I spent most of my career in space launch applications focusing on rocket structures, I managed the Ground Systems Structures Section at The Aerospace Corporation and have considerable practical experience with ground structures and facilities. I also have vast experience in failure investigations of launch systems and am well versed in the inter-disciplinary analyses -- thermodynamics, ballistics, structural dynamic and structures -- required to develop and explore credible hypotheses.
I was initially a skeptic regarding the possibility that the WTC was brought down by explosives. I erroneously thought that the conspiracy theories were based upon the notion that steel had to melt to precipitate a failure (it does not), and that rocket fuel doesn't burn at sufficient temperature to liquify steel (which is true). After reviewing the overwhelming evidence presented by the 911 Truth Organization, it is apparent to me that the steel did in fact melt, and that is incontrovertible evidence of the use of explosives. Together with the visual evidence, particularly that of WTC 7's signature implosion, there can be no doubt in the mind of anyone trained in structural engineering that these buildings were brought down by carefully placed explosive charges. NONE WHATSOEVER. As unthinkable as it is to me, it is hard to believe that anyone except agents of the U.S. federal government could have had the access and resources necessary to commit this atrocity.

There is seemingly indisputable evidence that a steel framed building cannot evaporate into thin air. There are far too many inconsistencies with many of the official government stories of events on 9-11 and they need to be acknowledged. The way 9-11 has been used as justification for killing more innocent people and to nullify the basic principles of our constitution is still progressing far beyond reason. I am more afraid of the people that claim they are taking away our rights for our own safety than the people who the major networks claim are such a serious threat to Americans.

I have done extensive research on 9/11, reading everything I could get my hands on and watching video of the event many times. I do not believe the two planes that hit the Towers could cause them to fall. There were approximately 500 reports from employees in the Twin Towers and from first responders that they all heard explosions going off before the Towers fell. There are holes in the official story that have yet to be explained, i.e. why interceptors were flown from Omaha, Nebraska and told to fly no more than 750 miles per hour (half their potential speed), which guaranteed they would not reach New York in time to to intercept the hijacked planes.

The overwhelming evidence compiled by, Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and Paul Thompson's, The Terror Timeline: Year by Year, Day by Day, Minute by Minute: A Comprehensive Chronicle of the Road to 9/11--and America's Response, are alone reason enough for an independent investigation of the tragedy on 9/11. The money trail, i.e. put options, on American Airlines and United Airways, the NORAD/FAA lack of response during broad drills and the conflicting testimonies that surrounded the infamous date, as well as the purchase date of the WTC and the ironically suspicious insurance claim with regards to Terrorist Attacks further begs a re-investigation. The Bush Administration's denial of, ever conceiving an airplane could be used as a weapon, is enough to prove their lack of credibility regarding the events. The loss of innocent lives and their survivors along with the millions of people across the globe are not satisfied with the insulting, appointed, 9/11 Commission's Report that failed any forensic tests for explosives, ignored the laws of physics and ignored all requests to provide answers regarding WTC7, are a wound on humanity that demands a real investigation. I respectfully implore my government to honor their oath of office and guide America back to the beacon of hope, liberty and freedom it was intended to be. The start of a new beginning can find no better place than returning to 9/11 with a full comprehensive independent investigation with subpoena power covering all those to be named. I didn't question the event immediately after, I was too young and naive to think otherwise, but not very long after I came across evidence that made me question the official story and it wasn't long after that I realized we have been told a huge lie. The realization of this changed my whole world view and if the general public were made aware of all the facts of that day, the world would dramatically change.
My dad is a licensed professional civil engineer with whom I have discussed the events of 9/11 and he is absolutely certain that building 7 had to have come down from explosives. It doesn't take an engineering degree to come to this conclusion though, common sense and a general understanding of physics will tell you that a building cannot fall in near-perfect symmetrical and vertical free fall unless all the support beams are cut at the same time and therefore offer no resistance. It is impossible for fire to do this, as NIST claims. There are a lot of other pieces of evidence besides building 7 but that to me is the clear smoking gun.

I have no formal education in the fields of Engineering or Architecture. However, I have spent hours upon hours researching the attacks on 9/11 (via internet, books, magazine articles, videos, lectures, etc.).
I have researched many different theories about who orchestrated the attacks and why, and have come to my own conclusions regarding those responsible. Speaking strictly on the scientific evidence of the collapse of The Twin Towers and WTC 7, the implications that The World Trade Center Buildings 1, 2, and 7 were NOT caused by controlled demolition are ludicrous! Before 9/11/01, NO steel-framed building had EVER collapsed due to damage sustained by fire and no steel-framed building SINCE has collapsed due to fire. Yet on 9/11/01, not 1, not 2, but 3 steel-framed skyscrapers fell at nearly freefall speed. The molten metal seen spewing from the building prior to the collapse and the streams of molten metal flowing through the basement below The Twin Towers, could not have existed unless the temperatures reached high enough to melt steel and iron. Steel melts at 2500 degrees F. Iron melts at 2800 degrees F. An open air fire burning off jet fuel can only reach temperatures of between 500 and 600 degrees F and burns off so quickly that it never could have reached temperatures hot enough to melt steel.
