To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I really have no structural experience other than taking structural engineering at NMSU. My experience has been with highways and municipal design.
The official story is that the buildings, weakened by fire, and falling under their own wight, pancaked down. The collapse happened in less than 10 seconds, which is about the time for a free falling object from that height to hit the ground. Resistance of building joints at each floor would have slowed the fall and possibly caused a much less even descent, perhaps even toppling. Pancaking would have left much more evidence. Explosives would have removed all evidence leaving only dust.

I strongly believe the cause of the destruction on 9/11 was not burning jet fuel, nor the compromise of structural integrity due to planes colliding with the buildings, nor burning contents of the structures. I am what is called a 'truther'. I want the truth, I don't think everything is a conspiracy but there are a few events in history that interest me that the facts and events have been changed to change history. What happened in the JFK assassination and 9/11 are the two that have interested me the most. They may be the most popular 'conspiracy theories' but they are in my opinion the two most popular because things don't add up. What they say happened could not have. This doesn't mean that I know the answers to anything but it does mean that I know that what they say happened via the Warren Commission and 9/11 Commission is not true and in some cases not even possible.
In my opinion all three buildings were imploded intentionally. Whether they knew this attack was coming and wanted ultimate destruction or this was a total inside job it doesn't matter. The matter at hand here is how and why the buildings fell. If not for Building 7, I don't think this theory would have as much legs as it does but when 7 went down it opened the scope of the whole thing.

I don't have any professor experience or education about architecture but from all the demolitions I've seen it's very clear in my eyes that these buildings did not come down due to a plane. It was a set up demolition with explosives located in the basement. How can a building collapse in on itself from being hit by a plane on the top?! It's not possible. Plus, the steel beams need to be heated pretty high to melt or bend and it's a higher heat than what jet fuel burns.

I have never believed that these building were destroyed by the terrorists airplanes crashing into them. It was not logical for anyone with critical thinking skills. The evidence points to the reality of a coverup of historical proportions. What followed was political theater and a means in which to engage in an oil-based war in the Middle East. If WTC7 was imploded, more dominos begin to fall: Many of the 'hijackers' are still alive. Almost none of the black boxes and in flight recorders were found or released. Modern airliners cannot hit speeds in excess of 500mph at ground level without being ripped apart in 2001, and it was nearly impossible to make cell phone calls from aboard an airliner at cruising altitude.
